The name you were trying to come up with is Louis Armstrong, also known as Satchmo. But the version that Angelina is covering is actually not his, it's Louis Prima's. The girl is her friend Sophie. There’s an interview on Norwegian TV not long after AJ won NGT and Sophie accompanied her. They both got interviewed. If you notice in the interview Sophie calls her Jordan, Angelina’s middle name and the name she went by before adopting the stage name Angelina Jordan.

I’ve seen that interview but didn’t catch that Sophie called her Jordan. I knew Jordan was her middle name but didn’t realize that’s what she used to be called. That explains why backstage after her Norways Got Talent audition you can hear someone say “Jordan”. Did Angelina decide that she wanted to use the name Angelina Jordan? Other options would have been what others called her at the time, Jordan Astar” or her real name Angelina Astar. Interesting that a 7 year old wanted a stage name. Does everyone call her Angelina now or do some still call her Jordan?

The great Louis Armstrong! I know, it was on the tip of your tongue! What makes this so touching and endearing is that this is actually Angelina's school, her schoolmates, and her teacher. Even her Uncle Mike was the one in the hall who had the papers in his hands taken from him by one of the students and tossed them in to the air! I can't wait to check out your retrospective on Angelina. The only retrospective/documentary that I consider well done was the one called The Angelina Jordan Story, Born To Sing: The Early Years, done by the guys from Wrapped In A Warm Blanket, Alan Papier and Pontus Osterlin.
