Skip to the 2:13 mark for price comparison, the 3:50 mark for the spacer install, and to the 9:00 minute mark for just the install of the marquee itself.

Hey JDV, great tutorial! I love seeing how people mod their cabs. It really goes a long way to adding personal value to your piece as well as uniqueness. Great job!!

Thank you David - yeah, you're a lot more connected to something you've modded, esp when you gotta break out a saw....

It seems like all I have to do is get a print out of the marquee, a short LED strip a thin piece of plexiglass and double sided 3M tape and place this all in front of the old marquee and probably would cost a 3rd of the price …. I will be trying this in a couple weeks
@evilgeniusentertainment8 ай бұрын
Oh yeah - it can definitely be done more cheaply.

Lot of work but the results are undeniable! Looks way better, nice job:)

Black angle iron could be a cool upgrade to that tape on top.

Already have something planned for it (video coming soon)

Nice upgrade. I go with the Arcade Game Factory deluxe complete marquees, but they are about $80 with shipping.
@evilgeniusentertainment2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Tony - $80 still reasonable if it looks great & is easy to install. I'd like to see the price on the DIY Retro kit to maybe be a tad cheaper, maybe $10....

I like the DYI and the Retro530 options, sweet video.. I gotta either build a MKII one or buy it, my cab just looks so 'meh' with the stock one.

Hey, thanks! It's a nice budget option - still holding up too!

thanks for video! looks nice. a lot of work though. like you said. also try The Arcade Game Factory. I got the deluxe one for my Class of 81 for. $90 total. it moves marquee forward and just have to switch over the speakers. much better than stock. fyi

You're the second person to mention that company - I'll def check them out. Obviously I adding some work by switching out the original marquee with an old one + adding that spacer, but it really wasn't too bad. Now videoing it, that's a different thing.....

If anyone has a rcwilley by them they have the mk2 legacy with lit marquee and riser for 199. I just bought one today because I think the online from the new cab will die pretty quick. And 199 seemes like a no brainer.

Thanks for the heads up Scott! Still a lot of interest in this cab....
