@granddaddyotaku6368 сағат бұрын
Viktor is a symbol of the degradation of free will. He exists in a state of existence where individuality no longer exists and everything/everyone is united into one Hive Mind. This morally speaking is wrong. Even if it were to create a utopian society, this perfect world would come at the cost of free will. Naturally we want a perfect peaceful world but the future that Jayce saw implies that this future will have one inevitable outcome. Jayce is correct in wanting to keep that from happening. In this episode, Viktor even feels entitled to unity, even at the cost of ppl's freedom to choose. He was willing to forcefully "unite" with Jayce, even if it meant killing Jayce's free mind. That shows that Viktor's vision, while idealistic and beautiful, is ultimately corrupted... The quote from episode 6 is very relevant. Even if its for the good of humanity, this sort of power is evil morally as it ultimately destroys people's humanity Viktor is morally wrong, regardless of his intentions.
@Ryuu447 сағат бұрын
A hive mind might be morally wrong in your frame of reference, but that's in no way objective. Take my individuality if that would bring in an actual utopian world. The future that Jayce saw is a future. Just like "our" present, and Eko's alternative present are two versions of it. We don't know if what Jayce saw is an inevitable outcome. It could be, but you know what could help? If at any point since Jayce returned he even bothered to try and talk with Viktor. He has crucial knowledge, right? Why not at least TRY and share it? Then, if Viktor actually wants to achieve the world that Jayce saw he'd be objectively evil. If he chose hubris, he'd be a fool that we need to stop. If he listened... we wouldn't have a convenient dramatic story arc to make a cool TV show, but that's a meta-perspective and in-world Jayce SHOULD at least try.

Something else to keep in mind about post fusion Viktor is that he has never really be 100% himself or in control. The part of the Arcane that he touched was filtering it's design through the remnants of Viktor that were there. It was very much a symbiotic relationship, it kept him alive and the hopeful, moral bits of Viktor kept it in check. It focused on helping the afflicted of the Undercity who willingly submitted to his help but in that submission their individuality is annihilated. After Jayce blasted Vik, the pure hex/arcane in him was unleashed, very much the same way post blast Warwick removed the remnants of Vander. The Viktor we have in this episode has very little of the humanity left, and the Arcane is making decisions to its benefit. I think that is why the remnant of Skye, that was really just another manifestation of Viktor's humanity (and guilt) looks so worried about him whenever we saw it in this episode. When he finally decided, or is compelled to, give in to the final glorious evolution, the humanity is gone. As is beautifully symbolized by his final transformation where the human part of his physical form, his face, splits and peels away revealing just the pure being of apex hextech and apex shimmer that Singed mentioned back in Act2 Ep6. The human part of Viktor reject Singed then, but with the vestiges of Vik's humanity no longer curbing the impulses of the Arcane, he embraced that empowerment. Damn this show is dope. Great reaction and impressive edit and upload pace for something that isn't even 12hrs old yet.

It was never controlling him. The issue is that Noxus' and Jayce's action made him lose faith in humanity so he responded by saying Humanity isn't worth it.
@nullunit6 сағат бұрын
@@hadrianhexe9603 That's fine if that is what you took away from it, but what they show us from the moment he woke from that cocoon he was no longer the same person. His scene and dialogue with Singed in Act2,Ep6 about "Final Glorious Evolution" show the influence of the arcane taint on him. The remnants of his humanity was able to resist that temptation from Singed to use the Apex shimmer to accelerate that evolutionary goal but as he weakened from converting people his humanity would have given way to the arcane's influence. Viktor from before his fusion with the core, when he told Jayce to destroy the core, was what he would have done if he was himself and capable of doing it. The reason he pleads with Jayce to do it in ssn1 is because even before the core is a part of him, it won't let him harm it. You think after his fusion with, he is less influenced? That to me is overly hopeful. ACT 3 SPOILER! As I said I think remnants of his humanity is what kept him from becoming what we see in act 3. Jayce and Noxus' actions did not help but, at some point his goal of evolving everyone would have ended in some form of the world Jayce saw in Act3, Ep7. Act 3 overall pretty much spells it out.

Victor's the bad guy if you haven't realized it, he said that Jace was right during his two sides of the same coin epilogue, that humanity cant evolve past a certain point because what drives us to be our best is the same thing that drives us to be our worst, human emotion, what allows us to love or feel compassion and results in doing our best is the same thing hate and anger come from and results in doing our worst... This is why Jace concludes humanity cant just be given magic and creating the anomaly was a mistake, but Victor instead of accepting that you don't get humanity at their best without also getting their worst, he decides in order for humanity to evolve he has to rid it of human emotion, which he does through taking away their individualsm and uploading everyone into his hive mind, losing their ability to choose but can all be given the anomaly and cured of death, which results in their magically armored souless puppet final form... anyway, they did a good job misleading us into believing Jace was in the wrong and we'd be on Victor's side as they pitted the two against each other, but turns out Jace was right and Victor's the one whos gotta go...

What I find interesting is that Jayce ultimately created the evil Viktor became, on the road to stop that evil. It was only after Viktor's "death" that he finally "understood." Thus leading him to becoming the end. The Viktor we met who was willing to sacrifice himself for Vander was taken in that moment only because of Jayce. A weird paradox... would Viktor have eventually become evil even without Jayce "killing" him there? Is the very essence of Viktor meeting death the catalysts of him becoming evil? Because if that is the case, then yes that was inevitable, seeing as he was already dying with every use. The quote that passed through my mind this episode was, "One often meets his destiny on the road he takes to avoid it."

Disheveled Jinx in a prison cell looks like something you would encounter in a Souls game.

I am glad Mike is there, because I missed some important plot points. I did not really understand what Viktor was doing.

The actions jayce took to avoid what he saw actually helped bring it about. If he hadn't attempted to kill Viktor, Viktor wouldn't have entered the final phase of his evolution. Vander would have been cured and his blood wouldn't be used to keep Viktor alive or as a weapon for Ambessa. Actually reminded me of a line in Kung Fu Panda. "One often meets his destiny on the road he takes to avoid it." 😂

People don't acknowledge the paradox. Sticking to the one 'bad' and "good' side narrative. Stuck in a loop. You can't see the forest for the trees.

I don’t understand Ambessa, like she’s so hellbent on snatching power that she’s literally giving away her power. At no point is she in control of Viktor’s disciples, they could turn on her in an instant and she would have no recourse. It just feels so out of character that she wouldn’t have her own backup to keep Viktor aligned with her goals.
@AlphariusCLH59 минут бұрын
Who says she didn’t have one? Maybe using the anti-magic runes on a larger scale or something special Singed made for her? We don't know because she didn’t need it. When he turned on the Noxians she was already dead and it was so fast that they couldn't react.

I personally wouldn't trust ANYTHING the mage said to Mel, you know, considering the mage is LeBlanc and she has been manipulating event for the past 1000 years at least....
