Imagine that instead of Isha, the one who gets the sacrifice scene is that one dude at the door from Viktor's cult. I never understood Isha's death. She sacrifices herself to kill the guy both Vi and Jinx have bent over backwards to save in an attempt to "protect" Jinx; however, Jinx would be incinerated by the explosion if she was anywhere near Warwick. Additionally, Warwick was getting some sizeable CS off of the Noxians and probably could have gotten enough gold to buy his items to tower dive Ambessa but a child wanted to int both of them and nearly throw the game.

@chips5840 Ok, lets just hit two of the biggest, most important events in the entire show and see how they're fundamentally broken, one inciting incident and one climax. 1 : the entire emotional crux of the show is built on a child blowing up a gas station killing half a dozen people because she duct taped 6 kg of TNT to an RC car when like a week ago she saw 1kg of TNT blow up a building, then being pouty when she gets yelled at for it. "Gentle parenting" is off the table once you commit an act of terror. What they were *_trying_* to do is have a tragic origin where Powder gets blamed for a honest mistake, or even nothing at all. They didn't write that. They wrote her genuinely fucking up, *_REALLY_* bad, in a way she absolutely knew not to. They should have had her blow open the wall with only one crystal, showing actual skill with explosives and improvisational thinking, BUUUT the drug is explosive and she unknowingly caused a chain reaction. THEN it would be a tragedy for her, since she did everything right but is still blamed by Vy, but Vy is also rightfully mad. What they actually wrote was a child getting angry at being yelled at after commiting an act of terror. 2 : mr science limp accidentally invents a technology which magically gives him space age techno bionics, saves his life, and does it all painlessly in a matter of seconds. But, y'know, some random lady scientist that never got named died because she didn't practice basic lab safety and was there after hours so y'know mr hamster was definitely right the whole time and the technology is evil. Yeah fuckin no. One dude dying because he ate uranium doesn't make nuclear reactors any less safe. Shady Durags made a video on mr hamster wizard and even HE said "yeah he was right be pure luck". That wouldn't be good writing to begin with, but here's the thing, HE ISN'T EVEN RIGHT! You know what happened? Y'know how Sam and Bucky hate Captain America and Battlestar for no reason? Then, way later in the show Captain America kills someone with the shield and the show plays it like "OOH, OOH, SEE?! THEY WERE RIGHT, HE WAS A BADMUN!"? Except, no, Walker never did anything wrong? Yeah. That. The ENTIRE SHOW is building up how evil and dangerous the tech is, meanwhile it only helps people and the one climactic "uh oh, they were right!" moment is when one scientist dies in a lab experiment gone wrong due to poor lab safety. If I can make 1:1 writing comparisons between your show and FatWS, it's bad.
@tsusmildrides4937Ай бұрын

@MrNickPresleyАй бұрын
@@felixjohnson3874 Well, damn. That's a good point. My memory of Arcane is somewhat spotty, but yeah. I never really did get what they wanted me to feel about Powder and all. It totally was her fault her friends died, and Vi was absolutely justified for being mad about it. Either this was an object lesson in why only adults should handle explosives, or why that particular plot point doesn't work. I interpreted that scene with Viktor differently. It was my understanding that Hemmerdonger had seen that kind of tech before, and was given such a negative impression of it by all the destruction it caused that he thought that no good could ever come from it. Hence, he was against any further study of it. And, I will disagree that he was wrong, considering what happened to Viktor. Remember, that weird core thingy he made was not only unstable and highly volatile, _it was talking to him_ - or at least he thought so. It did help him, yes, but you're overlooking that it killed someone else to do it.

Jinx should have been a violent and deranged terrorist, using Zaun's struggles and her father's fight as an excuse to bring death and disaster. Leading to her sister feeling like gasing all of Zaun to find her was the better option. Viktor too, a man who's body has failed him and who always showed a reckless ambition that was 100% willing to break the rules as long as he felt he was right. He had the markings of a villian that could be read as heroic in small doses. After becoming one with the research he'd spent his life creating gives him a new lease on life (while his friend who he picked up from the gutter turned on their mission and against his people) returns to help the people pf Zaun. Because the Hextec parasite in his mind convinced him to spread it. It's only making the world a better place after all.

I think the reason many people like arcane season 2 is because for numerous reasons. One is that people tricking themselves into thinking it amazing as the first one even though it wasn't. Number 2 is the visual as because people love the fight scenes and the animation and the colors where ignoring the story and how it makes sense. ( I was sorta like that when I watch sword art online even though the story isn't good the visuals and the osts is really good). But that like the last jedi whete visual it looks alright however story rise is beyond dumb and stupid. The other reason is the "theme" and how people feel about it and think it amazing and make sense when in reality it doesn't and instead just insult your time and intelligence and also you as a fan. I know that feeling( looking especially at you rwby especially vol 9. I never forgive them for forcing my favorite character to be a lesbian and in a abusive relationship that never make sense or have the main character off herself and no one care. Which is not getting a continuation) or with doctor who and recons. The other reasons from what I seen is from Twitter is the progressive liking it because there are characters who are lgbt I seen alot of stuff like that on Twitter and idiots screaming and giggling for lgbt stuff and people "claiming" it the greatest thing ever since the wheel. Even though that shouldn't be important and from what I heard I could be wrong apparently the main character wasn't supposed to be a lesbian but they later changed that. Also funny note in china version they censored it which alot of progressive were very angry about it and outrage. But from what I seen now is that more and more people are falling out of love with arcane and realize that it not a good show. Which I sadly knew the show was gonna be bad when I heard it ending in the 2 season which is ashame and my hearts go out to people who are fans of arcane. And now it joined with the many shows and movies properties that are now destroyed

@@JoshuaKevinPerry I'd advise you to watch Whatthe40k's video on Arcane, it was pretty good. Here are some of the things that were, imho, the worst in this show: - Vi's relationship with Caitlyn is forced and stupid. Vi treats Caitlyn like garbage, leaves her at brothel, lies about Jinx being her sister, demands information about Caitlyn's investigation, acting like Cait owes her something, breaks into Jayce's place and when he threatens to call the cops she starts playing the victim. - Catlyn does not call Vi out for her being an ass. She is framed as smart and insightful, yet her decision to release Vi from prison is dumb as hell. She has no evidence that Silco is behind all of this, gemstone ain't provin' shit, even tho script tries to convince everybody otherwise. - Both Vi and Caitlyn are not are not facing their responsibility in regards to their actions. I mentioned how it is with Vi, but Caitlyn is just as guilty of it. After she forges signature of Jayce (WhatThe40k assumed Jayce released Vi on his own, but I disagree with him on that one - I am pretty sure she forged it) she does not face reprecussions whatsoever, neither for this nor for impersonating enforcer. This is bollocks. Also plot armour of these two - Caitlyn surviving two different explosions in one piece, Vi kicking ass of every criminal was hella cartoonish, just like surviving being stabbed in her core, then falling from the big height right after. - No restraints put on Vi when Caitlyn released her to help with investigation. Like, why Caitlyn did not assume she would try to run from her on first occasion? It was so fucking stupid I felt like the show was not even trying to be serious.

@@NadwornyBlazen first time I'm seeing valid points of criticism for season 1. I held it in very high regards bc it managed to really land that emotional but punch but yes these do seem like plot holes. Caitlyn's actions definitely have plot holes, I think the only explanation for Jayce not punishing cait for using his signature could be that it was his way of apologizing to cait after she accuses him of giving her charity to show that he trusts her. But yea he should've gone after her for such a serious act of forgery.

I really don't like media criticism on the internet. So much hyperbole and vitriol. People act as if everything is either a masterpiece and a triumph of art, or an irredeemable pile of garbage. This kinda just seems like a cynical grab for attention tbh. Most people at least had a good time with S2, and EFAP are here to paint anyone who didn't hate it as mindless consumers who lap up whatever is put in front of them.

@ Lol wow they’ve really fooled their audience into thinking this what they do. This method of critique is equivalent of arguing with your girlfriend over text. I've been watching EFAP since 2018. Most of the time I found myself agreeing with them and some times having my mind changed by them. Sometimes however I've watched them being unfair in their coverage of good shows and movies like the Expanse and Dune and I've watched them glazing flawed productions like House of the Dragon, GoW Ragnarok and the MCU Spider-Man slop. However, the coverage of Arcane season 2 is the first time I've seen them being unhinged and dishonest. I don't know if it's Random and Theo that are to blame (Random is simply an idiot and Theo is the personification of the average EFAP audience edgelord who wants to 1up them on every opinion) or the fact that the last time EFAP had a dissenting voice that was Doomer of all people, but this is embarrassing. It's an echo-chamber of smartass nonsense masquerading as critique. At this point the objective critique that EFAP was supposed to be about is gone. If Mauler got an early positive look on something he is bound to keep this opinion for as long as he is in this mood. If something annoys him early on his elephant takes control and he rips apart everything in the most dishonest manner possible and the rest of EFAP simply follows. I watched EFAP since 2018 only to see them doing to Arcane what the Disney Wars fans accused them of doing to the sequels and it's disappointing. I am getting Sargon flashbacks. As for you Wolf, if your mental health kept you away from the internet better stay there buddy because posting your friends reduced to parodies of themselves with clickbaity titles meant to trigger people doesn't imply you've gotten better. The same angry little man that couldn't decide if he liked Alita Battle Angel until he had read the manga.

Hard disagree. Firstly, f*** off with the mental health talk. You, I, or anyone that isn't Wolf's licensed therapist should be commenting on his mental health. You immediately lose me and the vast majority of people in your little rant trying to crap on him over his supposed improprieties on HIS CHOICE OF FRIENDS?!? Double, no, Triple go f*** yourself, you sad little man. And really "I watched EFAP since 2018". Your really gonna try the age/experience fallacy here? You don't know us (the EFAP community), the EFAP crew, or Wolf at all. F*** off.

@a_rat_named_mouse To give one example, the way they treated Vander's letter to Silco in Act 2. Ignoring the context, time where the letter was written, the whole point etc just to criticise it.
