A profile of an Arcata artist and former Cal Poly Humboldt employee who carved several large wooden sculptures in the 1970's and 1980's. The sculptures can still be seen on the campus of Cal Poly Humboldt, Fickle Hill, and the Arcata Community Forest.

Enjoyed this awesome production of an intriguing mystery. I graduated from HSU and never knew that this existed. I need to make a trip down there to appreciate it. Thank you.

Love the information in this video and learning more about the artist behind those beautiful carvings. I've marveled at them for years since moving to Humboldt ten years ago. Thank you for spreading the knowledge and honoring the artist Jack Navarro.

There's also some videos specifically about the campus on our other You Tube Site (Arcata Plaza & Beyond) you might enjoy (the greenhouse, vertebrate museum, meditation club, etc.). Hope you get to come on up to visit the area someday!

I'd say Jack deserves a plaque to honor his name, at one of his sculpture sites.

Thanks - it's been a fascinating process learning about this. I've been curious about those sculptures since first seeing them in the early 1980's.
