Great reaction! ✌️ Alissa is an awesome growler but you should check out some Arch E songs by the former singer Angela Gossow, she is an beast! Nemesis, Bloodstained Cross and Yesterday is Dead and Gone are 3 superb songs from the Angela Era! If You want more Alissa songs i recomend As the pages Burn and The World is Yours. All those songs has some great guitar solos in them.

Compare the song "Nemesis" with both of the singers, Alyssa and the former vocalist Angela Gossow (Any pro-shot Live video with Alyssa and Rise of the Tyrants live in Tokyo version) Angela has probably set the standards in female death metal vocals, she still manages the band, just retired from stage. Both versions will be awesome in their own way and the song is great, like a death metal classic.

you really are up for treat discovering this band. Especially since this song is actually not really one of their strongest. I can really recommend anything from their live dvd from tokyo in 2008! Especially the opening track of that show "Blood On Your Hands" destroys everything.

"The Eagle Flies Alone" sounds like "Superman's Flying Low": something you'd say to a kid if their fly's down and wanted to be subtle to not embarrass them lol. I used to work at a summer camp years ago and had to use that phrase more than one might think was normal lol.

Good choice. But as already mentioned I would also suggest to check some older songs with Angela as the vocalist out. Also if you want to see what Alissa has done before Arch Enemy I highly recommend checking "The Agonist" (older songs, because they also got a new vocalist since Alissa is now on Arch Enemy) out. :)

Fun fact: Arch Enemy were the first band I heard with a female screamer/growler, back in the early 2000s, when Angela Gossow was with them and… it scared the shit out of 14 yo me .😳 I still love Beast Of Man though. Angela’s vocals were savage.

You guys should check out the former singer for Arch Enemy. Angela Gossow. I'd suggest Arch Enemy Ravenous (Live in Tokyo 2008). Her vocals are crazy good. I like Alissa, but Angela was a whole other level. Brutal.

Thanks for reacting my favorite band! This song is even better on live. Musicianship of every member of the band is incredible. Dueling guitar solos and guitars leading melody lines on background of vocals are this band's trademark. You should try to react to Julie Christmas, which is my #1 female singer in extreme music by freakin far. Try "The wreck of S.S. needle" she sings with Cult of Luna (ideally from the live at De Kreun, timecode 17,25). She says from an interview "when I go on stage, I know I'm about to enter something violent and emotional. I've tried to hold back but then I think it would be disonest. So I wreck myself". And that's true, she holds back nothing ! Or "How to Get Bigger" with Made out of Babies. Or "Bones in the Water" with Battle of Mice. No growls but holy shit, the psycho is strong with this one ! But Caro Tanghe is a close second, just check Oathbreaker - 10,56/Second Son of R. And talking about Arch Enemy, yeah, as a lot of others here, I grew up with Angela Gossow leading the band, so I'm still reaaally more attracted to their older stuff.

Arch Enemy- Reason to Believe is their only song where she sings clean if you want to check that out. As others have said Angela Gossow, the original singer was also a beast, so I'd recommend checking out their old stuff too especially LIVE in Japan.
