Your use of Johann Strauss' Vienna Blood Waltz is an excellent choice as a background for this! Plus it inspired me to listen to all my Strauss favorites again; never a bad idea. Great video, as always!

This is the first photo I’ve seen of poor Sophie, aside from the one of her and Franz Ferdinand’s fateful visit. She was quite lovely. I’m off to google more photographs of her and F. F.

Yes, she was lovely! If you're interested in Sophie, you might like the book "The Assassination of the Archduke: Sarajevo 1914 and the Romance That Changed the World" by Greg King and Sue Woolmans. It has a lot of great info about their courtship and life together.

@@TheGirlintheTiara but don't stop including it! I can tell you put a lot of thought into which piece you choose for each story. Sometimes as a very appropriate joke or pun. Very clever!

@@SarahGreen523 Thanks so much for the support! I plan on keeping the background music, just lowering the volume a bit. I'm so glad you can tell there's a theme what with each story and the music I pick - sometimes it's a mood, a feeling, a similarity in place or time, a commentary on the story, etc. You get me! ❤️❤️

Yeah, I get all this things about the tiaras in one hands. However, capitalism, being a highly corruptive and broken system, is a lot better than we used to have before! We need to remember that capitalistic world is a child of the 20th century, and before we've seen slavery, aristocrats that told us what to wear, speak and eat, and horrible life conditions. Today's world is far from perfect, but it this the best we have had since forever. P.S. I would love to have a tiara!!!
@TheGirlintheTiara3 жыл бұрын
Absolutely. Even with all the problems in the world right now, I'm happy to be able to live, work, and play as I see fit (within reason, of course!), which would never have been possible in any previous century. I would love to have a tiara, too, but not so much as a symbol of past aristocratic privilege...just as a beautiful piece of art with a fascinating history. :)

@@TheGirlintheTiara I absolutely agree. And the next best thing is that we can communicate with each other!! It is so cool that even if we live in different countries we can talk and share our opinions! Hail to the internet.

What would anyone who isn't royal need with these tiaras! What a waste! They're probably sitting in a vault somewhere now!
@TheGirlintheTiara3 жыл бұрын
Sometimes museums buy the tiaras that come up at auction - I wish that happened more often, so we could see them. I hate the thought of them sitting unused and unseen in a vault. If I had one and couldn't wear it out (because I have no social life), I'd want to display it as art!
