peggy was such a classy lady, that's the best thing to do when someone is a enemy or horrible, just rise above them and don't stop to their level, it will come back on them, and it did. It's quite ironic that it was the bust/statue of the queen vic that killed archie as it was as if to say only peggy can own this pub lol

agreed eastenders was on a peak then,this was xmas 09 and then the entire 2010 was brilliant. I would say that since around august 2012 the show has been on 1 of its worst patches ever.

It kind of remnds me of when The Spauldings lost their Empire and Mansion on Guiding Light. First to Roger Thorpe and his Wife Jenna then Dinah Marler but in typical soap fashion they got it back. For Alan to lose the Family Mansion and Company and taking up residence in a Motel that could fit in his Old Bedroom was quite humiliating.

Who ever wrote the script obviously didn't do any homework, Someone can't just take over a pub like that, the licensing authorities have to be informed regarding the new departmental licence premises supervisor, the police need to know who who the person licence holder is,. The brewery/pubco need to be informed, a stock take needs to be done, among lots of other things.
