The riff starting near 2:22 is an homage to Mozart's requiem, the Confutatis section. Very solid.

"The concept for this song is based partly on the split brain experiment where (when split) one hemisphere will lie to justify the actions of the other. In this case the subject had a living tumour installed on his brain that caused the healthy half to split apart. This leads him to believe that two sides of his one brain are split into two people. The hunter and the prey. The seeker begins to track the other part of his brain using remote vision and a beacon sent out by the tumour. He begins an endless hunt for his other half. Opening skull after skull looking for it, unaware that his other brain still resides within his own head. It’s one of the many experiments done by the A.U.M cult in an attempt to better understand a living black matter discovered centuries ago and its varying effects on human subjects"

melodicmetalman666 no need for all that lol. I would never say such a thing about tbdm. Now...there were 2 particular bands i was stoked to see, and was disgusted by their sound live versus a CD, as well as the drama surrounding both groups. I think everyone who has been to a slaughter 17 show regardless of location can attest to what I'm talking about... I thought 17 was gonna annihilate slaughter 16, but in my personal opinion 16 was much better. I hope 18 brings a good show, and something closer than a 5 hr drive

And I'm not talking about their virtuosity or speed, which is obviously impressive, but about their musicianship and melody-guided sensibility and song righting. All disguised under the insanity of their style. Therefore, if you lack in musical discernment/intuition you just might miss out on one of the greatest sources of musical orgasms. What aFucking Talent .

This may be my new favorite tech album since Sun Eater or Earthborn Evolution.. I love the intricate use of groove and speed and the vocalist is either new or becoming a fucking demon they're insanely good.

Just listened to Origin's Chaosmos - by comparison, this has got much more melody and compositional flow. Blast beats sound a bit funny though, like the rattling of loose part somewhere. Interested to check out more though.
