In some ways, I don't know why the hell I watch these old clips. I get sad as HELL knowing that they're all gone. Love everyone of you guys, just wish we could have more. You've given me, and millions of others, SO many laughs over the years. I'm 66 now, and have been through some marriage challenges, and I have been surviving by listening to you guys. No joke. I've always believed that humor is ALWAYS good for the soul. All of you were iconic comedians. Thanks so much. May you all RIP.

This is correct. Even though she was very quiet and reserved, she had an uncanny ability to play comedy. Both Carl Reiner and Mel Brooks said she was one of the best female comedy actresses, right up there with Carol Burnett. Ms Khan later noted that at times it was getting hard for her to get straight roles because she was mildly typecast for comedy. Hard to believe she started out as a singing waitress at a Bohemian restaurant. Unfortunately she was taken from us by the scourge of ovarian cancer that seems to have taken out a large number of female actresses in the 80's and 90's.

I wish about two things of Don, either he was my attorney (actually that could've been a nightmare), or that he was my psychologist. He takes your mind off a good 85 percent things that don't matter and exposes what it's like to be human, through comedy of course. And I've always read when off the set he was one of the sweetest respectful people crews have ever worked with.
@jmason28382 жыл бұрын
So ...Don Rickles was an absolute SWEETHEART when not on camera... Question : WHY did he NEVER display THIS aspect of his personality ON camera ??!?.. I - and my parents too - ALWAYS thought he was the absolute WORST ! ... A total horror to actually know in one's life .. HOW could ANYONE possibly be treated kindly by this REPULSIVE OGRE ?!?..It was only decades later , only after purchasing one of those retrospective Dean Martin compilation dvds , and he was on in a segment where he recreated his Vegas stage act .. and I tolerated his firebrand of verbal vitriol .. was I able to actually finally be a witness to him actually being NICE ?!?.. .. Truly I thought Rickels had snapped something in his evil brain🧠💥..💫. 😮😱😵..maybe having a stroke on stage 🤕 I'm watching this man suddenly being all sorts of apologetic and complementary .. and I am thinking - 'this can't be correct? - he must be very ILL w / 'something' affecting his cranium 🧠. . to suddenly do a 180° reversal in attitude..saying to the star - studded luminaries in attendance - Including a last minute appearance by Legend Bob Hope🙏🕯️🌹 - the reconstructed - vegas - style audience atmosphere - that he needed to clarify that he is saying these hideous things all in fun - just joking around - and that if he DIDN'T reveal that he is only joking around - he would be very worried about starting up his car in the morning - 😮😵😄.. and that he really loves those people in attendance - revealing that he is good friends w/ Bob Newhart , Don Adams , Danny Thomas , Jackie Cooper , Ricardo Montalban , Don Deluise , Pat Boone , Ross Martin & his *Beautiful* wife - ( Rickels had insulted her re/ her beauty and she really was Beautiful.. 👩🏼👸🏼 then tried to head game Ross😕☹️💫 about the joke- 'See that ? - now he's looking at her like : 🤔😕🤯😬..😩.. 😄).. others he had insulted .. some very cruelly - he almost made Mr. Deluise cry 😵😢😞 w / vitriol referring to his weight w/ some not - nice - at - all 'jokes' ... even apologized to Dean.. who he had gone after too - ( "Dean - I never liked you" .😄.) .w/ Martin responding that they know you don't mean the verbal nastiness ." they come here to get insulted they love getting insulted by you . they know you don't mean it" . ) .. and by the end Rickels is giving a toast to the audience he previously was verbally dragging through the mud.🙁😕🤨. saying to them - something like - " Let us all be nice to each other while HE - (points upward gesture🙄🙏☝️) gives us time ". .. So - Don Rickels was really a very nice man , huh ? Too bad he never displayed that to anyone - anytime on t.v. ..why NOT?!?.. Maybe my family and myself (who never saw his stage act - we never went to Las Vegas - that took much money to do ) might have had a change of heart about the man.🤔🙁...🤯😬😓 One of the saddest disadvantages of his comedy style - that he might have had more fans if he had revealed this hidden kindness of his heart ❤️💜💘 to television audiences 😔😕..what a shame😩 .💧. it would have changed my mind about him , for sure.. I am just guessing that I couldn't have been the only person that felt this way about him .. all this stated here is just my humble opinion.. May Good Citizen , Beloved American 🇺🇸National Treasure 🎁💎 and World 🌍🌎🌏🌐Superstar 🏆🎇🌟, Patriot & WW2 Veteran💪🤳🕴️🗽👍👍🎖️🇺🇸🚔 Mr. Don Rickels🌐🌟 💪🤳🥂🤴Rest In Blissful , Sweet Peace..🙏🕯️🌹🌻🌼🌺🌷🌸🥀💮💐.🙁😔. 🙁💘. ✝️☯️🛐🍀💢☝️🙄 🗿
