Thanks for the video! Just found my problem was the cooked stator wires coming out of the engine cover!

I bought a 05 Eiger off a friend as a non runner. It had sat a long time and I think this is the reason. Even if its not I am going to replace the old style rotor. You cant have this known issue hanging out there to bite your butt are any moment.

A video of assembly would be great. Showing the gear shafts and shim locations along with setting up the shift drum for forward and reverse.

Also, what’s the torque for six screws that hold starter gear to flywheel.

What made you start looking towards the stator? I'm have no spark on my kawi 400 prairie. I get a buzzing noise from the cdi when the key is on

My 07 AC 400 does absolutely nothing when I press the start button. Battery is good. When I jump the solenoid, it turns the starter but no spark. What would be my next place to look? Thanks! I’m about ready to take all of the plastics off and start cleaning everything up since I am very determined to get it running. It definitely has a bad oil leak that I have yet to trace, but I was told that their could be oil in the stator.

This would be a good preventative to replace a dead of time.

Where is the CDI located

Right under the seat near the solenoid, If its getting hot and crackling check your connections from the battery and if the cables are messed up replace them, that fixed mine 👍🏼
