Thank you. I just impulse bought a box of these things and searched u-tube for more than 1 hour looking for a video as complete as yours. I was thinking I would use these in clam chowder, but your simply recipe has convinced me to make this salad. Again, thanks and I have both liked and subbed.

You really need to blanche these if you make sushi?

Clearwater Arctic Surf Clams were previously blanched, you can eat it straight out of the box after defrosted. However, doing a quick blanche again will refresh its taste especially the ones sitting in the freezer for a long time.

I get mine from same place and never blanched mine & they've always been sweet and wonderful texture but they never last more than 2 weeks in my freezer. I love these.

Wow....There's nothing wrong with her accent, if anything it just brings more Chinese authenticity. I would argue there are many English speakers are becoming more and more curious about Asian cuisines and channels like this is contributing a lot to this shift in mind set.

I made this recipe and what I discovered is that A) Artic Surf Clams are the WORST. They are gross in every aspect of that word. There was still have a box/bag of them left when I finished the cook, and after eating the dish I threw that remaining portion in the trash. The clams had to be cleaned, and that was gross. Then when they were blanched they still smelled gross. The look of them was nice, but after they were cooked they tasted gross. They were tough, but not over-cooked. Just tough and felt gross in my mouth. When the taste of them broke through the sesame seed oil (there was way too much in this recipe) it was gross, like eating a booger. I could not even finish the dish. Sorry, but please, avoid the mistake I made and do not waste your 15.00 on these gross things.

I shared the same disasterous outcome but thought this is probably due to overcooking.

You just have an undeveloped taste bud and you don't know how to properly cook them Lol.
