Horst, it looks like you’ve got yourself an Explorer 2 to complement your submariner, good whisky and good watches

@ 7:33, when I see Horst's reaction, I know at that point, I must try this whisky...

I had the pleasure of having some Ardbeg 25 shared with a friend. Disclaimer: I’m an American Bourbon drinker. Peat and I don’t agree. That Ardbeg 25 is the best whisky I’ve ever had.

"30 ml that's nearly a dram." LOL!!! Horst, the one who pours 15 ml MAX.

Can't wait to get my grubby little hands on a bottle or TWO of this and compare it to the "Lord Of The Isles".

But is it that much better than a Ardbeg10 or a Lagavulin 16? Because the price is so much higher.

You should update the description link to https instead of http (not secure) ;)

Interesting. But why do I feel like this would be a little disappointing for a 25 year old and given its price? And I love Ardbeg...

Most probably. As with all drink...

Had 2 dram of this single malt at my friend’s apartment. Long story short, it’s a great whisky but it’s more like better version of Ardbeg 10 or Corryvreckan. Here’s is the problem with this expression it’s great for 400 to 500$ but for 1000$ you’re simply wasting your money.
@5litremania3 жыл бұрын
Not for the assholes who buy it, and then turn around and flip it at the auction. Therefor not allowing those who just want to buy and enjoy the shit, because they scooped them all up just to make a profit.

Re @6:43 - don't some distillers recask older whisky into younger barrels for a period of time to regenerate the peat? 25 years doesn't mean 25 years in a single cask...

It''s already sold out in a lot of UK online whisky specialists, despite only being out for 4 days and over £700 a bottle

What are those brands of whisky in the black tubes on the shelf behind you please?
@thewhiskyenthusiast3 жыл бұрын
They are Signatory Vintage whiskies which could be any whisky from any distillery bottled in house by Signatory Vintage who are an independent bottler. Check them out, they have a pretty cool selection www.signatoryusa.com/

So if I get a glass of water and sit inside a Chimney, I'd get the same flavor from the water? Why would anyone drink a very heavy smoked Ardbeg anyways?

I had the same sentiment a few years back. Then I tried Lagavulin 16, then I fell in love with prayed whiskys

Sorry, but watching Horst on his own is so much more enjoyable and entertaining - this father and son double act is uncomfortable to watch and Ben is simply trying too hard - he's just repeating what his father says but frowns and grimaces more.
@ryanchernochan93663 жыл бұрын
Disagree. He picks out the lemon which the father then states is the discerning characteristic. In fact in this video they both almost talk about completely different things. Ben also suggests the ham note for example. Ben describes it almost as it’s written on the bottle, unless he looked at it first I’d say they both contributed here.
@David4.143 жыл бұрын
I disagree. They have a good dynamic and it’s rare for a father and son to get on this well with a mutual interest, especially on camera.
@mavsman433 жыл бұрын
Sounds like projection bro. There's nothing uncomfortable about them interacting with each other
@onYTsince20083 жыл бұрын
Disagree 100%; this is amongst the nicest father/son relationships out there! Lots of laughs/fun while tasting wonderful drams.
