The F550 frame is the only frame I own that has crashed repeatedly without sustaining any damage to the frame. Love it!

Hello Ian. I am new to Ardupilot and I'm currently installing it into some traditional heli's that I've had for years. One with a cube orange, another with a Matek f765. Thanks for these videos as they are very helpful. I hope to become an active member of the ardupilot community as I progress. Keep up the great work my friend......Mitch

Haha yea. This is just a test build and the 550 is ideal for that.

@@MadRC I've used similar frames and they work fine but would like to find a design for a carbon fiber frame for around 10" props (not Tarot but similar) that allows a pair of batteries to be mounted to either side of the cube so that a camera gimbal can be mounted in the center underneath the frame.

Actually it looks like 3dxr (UK) and Irlock (USA) sell some reference frames like the one from Hex - HEXSOON EDU450 - Frame Kit with Motors, ESC and PDB

I have “Pixhawk 2.4.7 PX4”, when I go to “Mission Planner 1.3.74” then I see there are two option to Install Hardware 1) Install Firmware -It has all Firmware Named as “Copter…” When I select “Copter 4.0.5 Official” then It ask for Platform,Version and Firmware. 2) Install Firmware Legacy - It has all Firmware Named as “ArduCopter…” I am confused how to proceed to setup my “Pixhawk 2.4.7 PX4”. Please help.

Don’t you need to insert the position of GPS/Compass and the Cube in regards to the CG like DJI A3 and A2?

Yes Ardupilot has the option to set the COG.

@@MadRC It would be great if you show where is that option for GPS/Compass and for FC. I also wanted to ask if Pixhawk cube Orange has brake feature like DJI A3 has on GPS Positioning hold that stops the drone right where you leave the sticks to the center.

Yea you set the breaking level in Ardupilot. This is a software feature of the flight mode.

Thank you for the videos. I setting up on Orange Cube on my old F550 with DJI ESC and motors. Something I am missing because when I plug the batt to the drone, the motors are beeping they don´t follow the controller commands. I checked esc´s and motor out of the controller and they work fine. Could you help me, please. Thank you.

Do you have a GPS or safety switch connected as beeping motors means the safety switch is not engaged.

@@MadRC Thank you for the anwer. I´ve finally realized the issue. The throttle was to low so I sub-trimed this radio channel. Yesterday I tried to do my first fly with Orange Cube but I couldn´t because the drone flipped back. I double checked motors & props direction and all were fine. I did calibrate compass and accelerometer and also checked the center of mass...Do you have any idea? Thanks a lot.

...also I´d like to make a suggestion/discussion tip about DJI Smart controller and the possibility to use it with Pixhawk. Is it an Android device, isn´t it? So could i install Qgroundcontrol on it?. I guess Dji guys have thought on it too...

I brought orange cube beta tester as new stable version not available locally, If I update the firmware then will it be like the new orange cube with stable version? Or there are some hardware changes?

No hardware change at all. Once Copter and Plane 4.0 released the Cube Orange was no longer in beta. You can ignore the sticker.

Does the ADS-B communicate with mission planner via blutooth?

The ads-b communicates over your telemetry link so you can use 3DR radios. RF solutions ones or something like Herelink. There is no built in BT or communication in the system you have to choose that aspect your self.

@@MadRC Thank so much Ian, I was watching one of your videos where the airplanes were first appearing on mission planner on your laptop and I could not see where it was hooked up, or a radio hooked into the laptop. Does that radio use wifi to the computer?
