I've only jackhammer raided a single armored building tile before, and that was because I had a lot of jackhammers and it was a grudge offline raid. I'll jackhammer stone all day any day. Your notes on splash with rockets was illuminating, and we may start targeting circle bases as a result :D

I stopped playing modded because bored kids just show up with 100 rockets and you don't stand a chance. In Vanilla, they think twice before wasting a rocket for pvp

to be honest, my experience in modded has actually had less rocket pvp than vanilla. vanilla players work much harder for the kits, rockets etc, so this leads them to do whatever they need to do to keep their loot resulting in more rocket pvp. my experience on modded has been more pvp oriented than anything else. groups will start putting rockets down on large bases just to create pvp. to be honest not a ton of people on modded care about their rockets.

@@landonv9786 Hmm u mind telling me what server u playing ? I love PVP.On RustHunger, I couldn't hold down a base to store the 3 fkn kits i need to PVP (im pretty good so that's enough) as my base would get offlined twice a day by the same retards that show up when server's dead and literally offline the entire server. That, and being onlined by groups of 4 which, while fun, still results in the base being destroyed because y'know ... you may be good but not 4v1 good. I once built a base on a modded 10x server. I found the admin's base, which was obviously admin abused to be created, but I didn't really mind because it was a very small server barely anyone was playing on and if he wanted a nice big base, who was I to judge. However, this was right around the time of hot air balloons and I had no idea about twig building (it wouldn't have worked anyway, the admin had made overhangs/inward autoturrets ect. to stop it. But! I was a bored kid, and I spent an entire evening working out how hot air baloons worked with no help from any outside source. It was hours before I discovered how they could be steered. After trial, and trial, and trial and error, I finally managed to leap from my hot air baloon and survive, just barely, the drop onto the roof of the house. From there I managed to raid the entire base, as it was armored with only sheet doors and I gloried in the feeling of success. I never had felt a rush so good from rust, and I probably never will. It was my Everest, as cheesy as that sounds. I took his admin abused loot, or as much as I could carry, and went back to my idyllic little place halfway across the map. I logged in the next morning to find out that the admin had taken revenge. Salty he had been offlined, he foundation wiped my base to the ground. Nothing was left. I had purposefully avoided killing him so he couldn't get my name, and he and everyone else was offline at the time of the raid. It wasn't small enough he would have known who had raided him, even if it was pretty a small group of people. The only way he could have found me was through admin fuckery, either checking logs or looking for his loot in chests. Instantly killed my enjoyment of Rust. That was 3-4 years ago, and I just realized with some shock while writing this story, that was legitimately the last time I played Rust.

Man, I feel like your channel is gonna blow up. If you keep these up, I´m certain you will. These are extremely details and facts oriented, and leave nothing to wonder about. Keep it up with the organization method you use for your vids, I can totally see how you could get really good at it. If you keep exploring like this, I wonder if you'll ever make "the most efficient base possible" eventually, based on theoretical knowledge, or if you could prove that there's no such thing maybe. Awesome!

im so glad youve made a part 2, your first video was very high quality and in depth, as is this one. i always see the base build videos and wonder how they come up with extreme numbers for raid cost, its a complete con most of the time. i would consider myself a very knowledgable rust player, but you have certainly taught me some things, e.g a window bar and embrassure are splashable. im very excited for your next video, keep up the great content!

I was on Wilsonator solo server if this matters at all. Love the video, will be making changes to my base design, thx to your information on rocket raiding.

Yeah, you can hit any part of the square, it just matters that it's the bottom side. It's pretty common to backward pick once a raid is secure or if you're trying to eco-raid offline.

Frankly if i had a video of how to build solo bases on solo server and how to raid as a solo player i would buy the game without question. Same is true for future team players in duos (which i know no one to play with after purchase) and more. I've played this game a long time, here are my two cents: I always use just rockets when dealing with walls (except HQM, since C4 is a lot easier, or if a wall just has like 50 health yet) and "hyper-efficient" raiding techniques when dealing with doors and such. Always pick out soft side stone and wood if possible. If you have garage doors, there's no reason to waste an extra rocket when you only need a couple explosive ammo to finish them off.

havent played the game for a while, but when i did, i used C4 mainly and explosive ammo to finish off rockets were mainly used to kill people inside/outside the base, to destroy turrets or when there were massive walls and had no idea from where to raid from. Also, if they didnt have half-walls on the top i mainly raided from there and forced the splash damage to deal the most damage (and finished off with explosive ammo, so i wouldnt waste rockets)

it be more efficient to just blow up foundations with C4 or rockets, because destroy those and it breaks stability and will cause half the base to crumble away. Destroying any ability of players defending their base when it opens up when their base is falling apart because of instability.

i will never understand why people use silencers when explo ammo when they use C4 or rockets. C4 and rockets can be heard from 10x the distance that silent explo ammo can be, so why do people bother? just makes you need to use 25% more explo ammo and slows te raid down, it makes 0 sense whatsoever
