Small correction: the MQ-1C has a range of up to 750 miles from the controller. This means it theoretically could have flown from a U.S. Air Base in Singapore, but it would have had to already been in the area to catch up to the 777.

Usually drones, while slow, are sent up to circle an area at a high altitude and then take video or photos of an area. I believe the MQ-1 has a service ceiling of 60,000 ft, which is way higher than what any airliner would fly. They have super strong cameras that can capture high quality video from far away, so if this truly was a drone, then it is possible to circle above at a slow speed and still track the plane with the camera. Even if they were at a close altitude, the camera would be able to zoom in and out to a degree that it could track the plane without having to keep pace. At the very start of the drone video, the thermal you see on the edges is actually the drone itself, so it already appears as if the drone is looking back and down from its orientation, suggesting its either circling or flying away from where the airliner is going. I am in Air Force ROTC and we learn about drones a lot and how they are specifically utilized for surveillance.

The drone had been tested to over 40 hours of flight time, so is capable of reaching the intersect point from several air bases. There are also several Indian runways on the Nicobar islands that may have been utilised..Ashton is looking into it.

33:25 slight correction here: a fire extinguisher is actually not able to handle a single lithium-ion battery fire. Lithium-ion battery fires are particularly terrifying, as they are capable of creating their own oxygen supply as they burn. Even more concerning, they’re able to break down the carbon dioxide from traditional fire extinguishers into just carbon and dioxide, meaning that they will use fire extinguishers *as an oxygen supply*

In the early 2000s I was an Air Surveillance Operator in the Air Force. I experienced again and again that people massively overestimate the level of control that the military exercises in the airspace in peacetime. Our defined tasks was to find hostile planes and to prevent traffic to enter restricted military Airspaces, the public Airspace in peace time is of no conern for us except if they call us! My job in particular was to keep the radar image clean, to make sure that the echo signals and transponder signals correlated, this actually happens automatically, but it was not unusual for this to still be displayed incorrectly, especially since everything was digital and not analog as before. Sometimes all transponder signals disappeared and you had to restart the system, transponder signals that left their echo-signal, transponder signals that jumped to a different echo, e.g. a flock of birds, etc. A plane could suddenly be completely somewhere else, perform flight movements and reach speeds like an Alien Spacecraft, in those cases it is of course clear that the system is going crazy again, after all it is just a computer that represents something to me and just like the Computer at home things can and do go wrong. And with sometimes i mean from my subjective memory, twice a day, it was common. Also, primary radar technology is not nearly as accurate as people think, at least it wasn't 20 years ago. But above all there is an alarm chain and we were at the end of this chain, i cant just scramble fighters if something is suspicious to me. If this chain is interrupted at the beginning, as was the case with MH370, nothing happens. We only react when civil airspace controller raise the alarm, it is their job to organize the airspace, not ours. After all, I have no contact with the plane. I could assume he said to ATC my Transponder is broken everything is fine i divert back home. It's also not unusual for planes to suddenly turn around; medical or technical emergencies force them to turn back or move to another airport. It simply wasn't our job and therefore wouldn't have interested us. At night and without threat, two soldiers sit in such a control room and control half of a country the size of France or Germany. Their job isn't much more than being there, drinking unhealthy amounts of coffee and waking up the rest when the civilian authorities report a kidnapping or something similar. The only other scenario when i had to change from being a passiv observer to being active was when a plane was getting closer or entering an Airspace closed by the Military. The usual case was like this, the phone rang, the voice told me track flight with NTN (Nato Track Number) xy write down Speed, Heading, and all the rest every 30 seconds if he keeps not answering scramble fighters. This happened twice a month on average. So if i were a Controller in that night i either wouldnt have recognized the Echo as a plane, depending on weather and other factors, or i would have recognized it as a plane without transponder signal for which i assumed half a dozen technical reasons either at their or my end and if it was a reason of concern my phone had to ring. So I wouldn't have done anything except fight sleep. And the Pilot knew that, thats why he made his plane invisible for ATC when leaving one and enetering another airspace and thus making sure ATC doesnt realize it.

We already use lasers to dice the chips. I can’t imagine that they would have anything so break through in this specific application that it would be worth the risk of this conspiracy going public. Also silly is completely ignoring the only physical evidence involved, the parts positively identified as belonging to MH370 that washed up on an island east of Africa that when hydrologists who study ocean currents were ask where they'd have come from they pointed to the same location the satellite handshake clues say it went down, he just completely ignores all that, brushes aside the fact that the pilot was in a situation with his personal life that's known to make people snap yet embraces conspiracy theories that involve multiple governments and businesses. Nope, sorry, he's wrong, all the aircraft pilot's and experts that say this had to be turned off and that had to be turned on and all the other steps it took to make it disappear from air traffic and other things are the one's that are right.

@@dukecraig2402you sound so emotional in your analysis. But I don’t see no concrete proof. The airplanes parts found have a lot of inconsistencies and since we haven’t found the actual wreckage they can’t say for sure it came from MH370 until they do the full construction which is only possible when they find the plane. For example ‘ Unconfirmed debris - panels Sainte-Luce, Madagascar, September 2016 Two bits of debris, found by a local fisherman in south-east Madagascar and handed to Canberra investigators by independent searcher Blaine Gibson appeared to show signs of exposure to heat or fire at some point. Authorities said there was no evidence that the debris came from MH370 and that dark marks on the surface were caused by resin, not fire.’ Interestingly part of MH17 also went missing in a 2015 article written by the guardian. I won’t say anymore on that but I thought it was interesting to note. The main problem with your comment is that you are trying to apply your way of thinking and cultural norms to another society which you know nothing about. You have also failed to consider that suicide is completely forbidden in the Islamic faith and that it damns a person to hell forever. The suicide taboo is not just a cultural thing but a deep religious belief. Extremist groups which have deep ties to western government and intelligence seemed to given people this false idea that suicide is permissible in the Islamic faith. It’s not. As of right now, there is no documented proof that he is the one to do it. That doesn’t mean someone else didn’t though. Why are you so quick to assume it was him? It could have been anyone on the plane and, considering the fact that two people seeking refugee status got onto the plane, it would be easy enough for any bad faith actors to get on either official or unofficially. * I've had a rethink about this. 1 DOES a burning plane always crash ? Answer is No. Not always ! 2. Folks above rightly advise it carried on for 7-8 hours....... 3. But that doesn't mean it was flying by Pilot/Co-Pilot? Answer is No. MH370 was flying on autopilot. 4. It's possible that there WAS a hold fire. And the fire was extinguished in the Cargo Hold by the automated HALON system. 5. Which enabled the plane to fly for a further 7+ hours. 6. Unfortunately this activity also extinguished both the Pilot and Co-Pilot too (without warning sadly.) 7. Potentially a rear cargo hold fire extinguished the passengers too. Sadly.

There is no need to argue about the exact shade of the asset when it can be easily edited. Moreover, the fact that the outer rings overlay so perfectly is undeniably artificial. Kudos to The Lore Lodge this is the best video I have watched on the subject. To me the only plausible explanation is that Capt Shah was responsible , the content you guys included about Shah and his life etc at the time was both interesting and reinforces the argument of - Why would he do it? But another argument which I consider the only explanation is that he would have the knowledge and experience to pull off the manoeuvres and turning off the relevant systems on the plane relating to detection. As for the info put forward from the people that knew him about his character - as we all know , someone that is seriously depressed etc can seem normal even to those closest in their life

Green Dot Aviation released an amazing video about how everything would have happened in the pilot hijacking scenario. The only thing he doesn’t answer is why the pilot would have done it. Was his family being threatened if he didn’t? Is that why there seemed to be a partial cover up? With all the facts he presents it seems that is what happened but I still have more questions than answers.
@SImrobert200111 ай бұрын
Probably because the "pilot hijack" scenario doesn't need one. There's been several in recorded history. Fed Ex Flight 705 had an attempted hijacking from a fellow pilot for a life insurance scam. There's also the Germanwings flight that crashed in the french alps, which likely was a pilot hijacking. Japan Airlines Flight 350, Royal Air Maroc Flight 360, SilkAir Flight 185, Air Botswana: On Oct. 11, 1999 took off with the explicit idea to kill himself, Egyptair 990, and Mozambique Airlines TM470: are all plane crashes either suspected or proven to have been done on purpose from either the pilot or copilot.

A weird thing to me is that the engines and jet exhaust seem the same temp or only barely hotter than the fuselage or wing tips, and the whole plane is basically the same color. Wouldn’t parts be marginally hotter or colder based on friction and underlying fuel/electronics to suck up or put out heat?
@Maddog306011 ай бұрын
Yup. Leading edges of wings and the nose are always hotter from other parts of the aircraft from friction.

The problem with this technical stuff is you need go go out and test it. Get a plane preferable a 777 at that altitude and speed and watch it with the MQ-1 and its optics. While general assumptions can be made you have to actually test to make sure those assumptions are correct. People here go on the assumptions and can be dead wrong. The plane was at 35000ft, where it is very cold and at a speed that could be variable. Need to test to see exactly what a plane like that will look like. It may be very much different from what the guessers are guessing. People take information they have read for something like the MQ-1 and it may be all wrong. The military likes to keep the abilities of machines like the MQ-1 secret and they are not above releasing incorrect/inaccurate information about it.

One thing about thermal is it takes everything in the frame and compares the temperatures relative. Thus if something is 1000 degrees and another object is 0 degrees respectively everything in between will be a mild gradient. This is so the hot objects do not over crowd the rest of the image. So while the engines may only appear slightly hotter they may in fact be several hundred degrees hotter than something only a few shades of orange darker. If it took exact temperatures and assigned a color based on temp the image would be far less defined because of the extreme difference in temps between the fusalodge and engines and background

The "drone footage" is clearly an event from EvE Online, where 3 Ogre SD-900 Sensor Damping drones are being sent to a capital ship (likely a carrier that is ratting or doing a hidden mission site) that has been tracked down. The attacker is using the damper drones to prevent an attack from the carrier, while closing to initiate a warp scrambler. The capital ship decides to light a Cyno field in another system from an alt account, which it had standing by for just this type of situation, and then activates its jumpdrive before the enemy can successfully block this jump (and the carrier is likely equipped with a humorously fancy warp core stabilizer anyway, as this is common among people use capital ships this way). There is a difference between how IR and thermal work. IR amplifies light, thermal detects surface temperature. The color of the object in IR does not depend on temperature, it depends on the amount of light hitting it, so theoretically, the clouds could washout it enough light is bouncing off of them. Thermal on the other hand doesn't washout unless there's a massive change in air temperature, or there is something like dense fog that the device is detecting. It's difficult to understand the nuances without having used both platforms, but the best example of their difference is how they detect glass. If you look at a car through IR, you would be able to see the interior/occupants, since light passes through glass. However, looking at the same car through thermal, you would not be able to see inside since the device will detect the surface temperature of the glass, and it will not be able to detect anything behind the glass.

I think your confusing Night vision, thermal, and IR. Night vision just amplifies ambient light. Thermal and IR are synonyms, where the camera detects light with a longer wavelength than the visible light spectrum. For your example of glass, glass is mostly opaque to Infrared light (why it can be used to insulate green houses and why your car interior is so toasty after being left outside on a sunny day), so a thermal camera won't be able to see through it. Night vision can see through it.

Aiden: did you use MediaInfo to look at the header information in the video files? Did you try to examine the video files with a hex editor? Are there any text fields like “copyright” or “MH370” or “Raytheon”, etc?

I checked some IR satellite imagery, some of it uses inverted colors to indicate heat but i think the point of the airliner in the drone footage being warm and then the "womhole" being cold vs. the airline and wormhole being warm in the sattelite video still stands.

I mean, honestly, how many people say after the fact yeah I thought he was gonna take down a plane I mean really come on nobody ever sees this coming… there’s no doubt he crashed his plane and took the lives of everybody on the plane. What a selfish thing to do.

I thought the "wormhole" videos looked fake the first time I saw them then Aidan² damn near does a perfect replication of the one in a couple minutes 🤯

What I found very odd is the angle of the blast which is perfectly perpendicular to drone point of view while the flight path was not, nor the plane of three spheres movement.

@zacharylansing8 ай бұрын
Well it’s not that it’s perpendicular but that it visually looks that way since that’s the vantage point.

Another amazing video! I love the collaboration between you two and your different backgrounds. Always makes for a fantastic new perspective on things. And also Archie being a model at the end was fabulous. Five stars for professional model doggo! ❤

Just gotta say, I really enjoyed Nigel Thornbe- I mean, Aiden Thornberry's breakdown of the video editing. I know nothing about editing so seeing him explain all of that was really cool!

Correction. The disabling the acars from the ee bay is not the only way. It can also be disabled by isolating the left ac bus with the electrical panel in the cockpit.
@bricedesmaures621610 ай бұрын
ACARS can also be deactivated from cockpit by just clicking a function on a screen.

I remember quite clearly when this initially happened an Australian or nzer on a rig in the South China Sea reported seeing a plane falling into the sea on fire. Never heard much about it again.

Ahhhhh. I thought you were working up to the Jeff Wise hypothesis. That one was always my pet theory. Now you got me transfixed
@2CalaLilly9 ай бұрын
No. There was no conspiracy involved with the MH370 incident. The pilot deliberately killed everyone on board and allowed the plane to run out of fuel so it would crash in the most remote part of the Indian Ocean. Period. The crash site might or might not ever be found, but it is probably somewhere along or near what is called the 7th arc.

This was your best ever, Lore lodge team. Logical, thorough, covered all the theories in detail (I was particularly looking forward to your research on Freescale). FYI a fellow New Zealander, Ed of The Outer Light channel, did a good analysis of the alleged satellite/drone clips and concluded they are fakes. From one researcher to another, I'm Really, really impressed. You made me look at the Freescale theory with fresh eyes.

With regard to the lithium ion battery question. I am a pilot with more than a decade flying in airline, charter, and corporate operations around the world. Lithium ion battery fires became a large part of our training. The danger is that they are a burning solid and cannot be put out with a fire extinguisher. Instead the only way to put them out is by cooling them off or using a specialized "fire sock" to contain them. Most airlines and large worldwide corporate operators have these installed on aircraft and are trained in their use. For those that don't, the training is usually to get a container and submerge the device in cold water, not ice (as it will insulate the fire). As well as strict rules about lithium batteries in cargo areas. As was the case with my time in Learjets as we did not have a baggage fire indicator.
