Are EGGS🥚Bad for the HEART❤️?
Meta-analysis study of 23 studies with 123,660 cases followed for a median of 12 years
CONCLUSIONS: Our analysis suggests that higher consumption of eggs
(more than 1 egg/day) was not associated with increased risk of cardiovascular
disease, but was associated with a significant reduction in risk of coronary artery disease.
Conclusions: Intake of 1 egg/d was sufficient to increase HDL function and
large-LDL particle concentration; however, intake of 2-3 eggs/d supported
greater improvements in HDL function as well as increased plasma carotenoids.
Overall, intake of 3 eggs/d favored a less atherogenic LDL particle profile,
improved HDL function, and increased plasma antioxidants in young, healthy adults.
Meta-regression plots represent the relationship between a
change in dietary cholesterol and serum lipids
1000 mg/day = 11 point increase of total cholesterol
400 mg/day = 2 point increase in total cholesterol
1000 mg/day = 4 point increase in LDL
400 mg/day = 2 point increase in LDL
1000 mg/day = 3 point increase in HDL
400 mg /day = less than 1 increase in HDL

In the studies where total cholesterol only went up by 11 points. What were their cholesterol levels to begin with? Ive seen studies that show if cholesterol is already on the high side, dietary cholesterol didn’t raise blood cholesterol significantly, but if it was in the low to normal range it did.

Dr. Jin, everytime I see one of your videos I have this smile from ear to ear :) I recall hosting Taiwanese and Chinese students and whilst they did not speak English, I understood that they liked to have boiled eggs for breakfast :D All of them were very lean and fit, so I always believed eggs can't be bad for you! I remember my grandad having his chickens, hens and roosters in the field happily roaming and teasing each other many times a day hahahaha, it was really beautiful to watch, to go and feed them with vegetables that grandad would have prepared for them... it was funny how they knew food was coming they all gathered around him like crazy crowds around a worldwide known star :D The omelettes and eggs grandma cooked were out of this world, with colour, aroma and flavour unmatched with today's eggs in supermarket... I totally agree with you, happy free hens, happy tasty eggs!! Thank you for sharing with us the wonderfulness of nature and its benefits for our health!! Wholeheartedly thank you!

I eat 3 pasture raised eggs every other day, on my workout days, because they are so nutrient dense and contain tons of high quality protein which is great for my workout. My cholesterol profile improves when I eat high quality eggs, so they clearly don't have a negative impact there. I also love the fact that eggs are so filling. The main thing to pay attention to is getting the best sourced eggs as possible. Most eggs now aren’t very good nutritionally compared to what they would be naturally (not farmed). The goal would be to find an egg that is as natural as possible. Such as organic pasture raised and has a dark orange yolk. The light color the yolk (like those yellow eggs you see all over) and the more factory farmed they are the worse they are. Because they feed them grain opposed to other stuff they would eat in a field. This results in lower nutrients and high omega 6/low omega 3 for example

I eat a meat based keto/carnivore diet and it's done wonders for my health but my cholesterol went to 565 from 285 in 4 months (from ketovore)... 285 was high for me, but 585 in 4m is worrisome. My doc is sending me to a cardiovascular lipid specialist and is worried bc he's never seen a cholesterol so high, especially in such a short time, and in someone who doesn't fit the profile for high cholesterol. I'm a petite 36 yo female who walks and weight lifts daily. My ldl rose to over 350, my tg rose from 49 to 119, and my ratio is 5.6. Can this be from inflammation or liver issues and not a cardiovascular issue? I'm trying to find more info before my appt bc I don't want my diet blamed bc I've heard this happening to others. Can this be from toxin exposure, like mycotoxins? My liver was coarse on an ultrasound and I have a distended gallbladder w thickened wall. Ejection fraction is 70%, which is high and thus shows an overactive gb. I have no colon, which means I don't recycle bile efficiently. Any insight would be greatly appreciated

The short and bitter answer is that you need to limit saturated fat intake, which is contained in high amounts in meat. Also, if you're genetically predisposed to high absorption of dietary cholesterol you will need to limit your intake of foods that contain lots of cholesterol such as eggs. I suggest looking at nutrition made simple on youtube, very science based channel
