Both are anti inflammatory. Great info, but there is a recent study in Europe showing most of the over the counter Fish Oils were rancid or not what they were saying they were.
@Kennethopdahl3 жыл бұрын
Epa and dha are volatile fatty acids, meaning that they can go rancid/oxidize easily. A lot of the natural protection from oxidation is stripped away with the heavy metal cleansing process the manufacturers are obliged to do. And adding the right antioxidants back is costly. That's why when tested 95% of ppl taking a random omega3 supplemt still don't get to a healthy balance of 3;1 in omega6 to 3.

@@Kennethopdahl what about Carlson's fish oil?
@Kennethopdahl3 жыл бұрын
@@cmhardin37 I haven't seen anyone personally using Carlsons fish oil. From the bottle, it seems fairly decent. With 1300mg og combined epa and dha. To get get to a great level of 8% epa+dha in the blood, one would need to triple the dosage, to a total of 3-4g a day. With this being said, the process of cleaning fish oil for heavy metals, most of the natural polyphenols and other molecules helping the omega3 to stay fresh and not go rancid in the fish are removed, and these need to be added back again. This is why you see almost all omega3s having vitamin e and some sort of herb oil, like peppermint, rosemary, etc added. Though, these additives are expensive, and most manufacturers do not care to add enough. In a recent study from Norway 9/10 store bought brands of omega3 went rancid within 10h after administered, and the digestive system needs up to 36 hours to fully take up the epa and dha, this is a big problem. Consistently, clients I work with that take the omega3 test and who have been taking an omega3 brand from the store gets a omega6:3 ratio of 7:1 or worse. To stay in the optimal range you want to to be 3:1 or lower.

When people and companies selling the Omega-3 supplement they always talk about EPA, DHA and sometimes DPA. But these are not the only Omega-3 FA, there are like 11 of them. What is with the other ones? Because I thought that the human body cannot synthesize Omega-3 FA in general, so 7 fatty acids would be missing. Are those just not as researched as the ones above or are they commen in other plants like ALA? I just don't get why when someone says Omega-3 fatty acids, everybody just thinks of EPA, DHA, DPA and ALA... And especially why the supplements only contain the 3 acids named above

Curious how helpful flax seed oil or other Omega 3 vegetarian/vegan supplements are vs fish oil. What would be the best option, alge?

EXCUSE ME? The gallbladder is a bag, not much different to a balloon that holds bile while it waits for the fat to come down from the stomach. The liver makes the bile. Are you saying people without a gallbladder shouldn't eat fish oil?
