Good luck getting the sleeves out when they break off! I’m still trying to figure it out!

We’re running the SCS lugs on 5 Toyota’s now and haven’t had any issues. Maybe we’ll replace them every few years just for peace of mind. Thanks for sharing your experience

Did they break while running an impact on them, or when driving?

Would I be able to use these on my 2001 ford ranger? They have an option that is the same thread size. I've been having trouble finding ET lugs for my truck
@MidMoTundra Жыл бұрын
I’d say if your wheels will accommodate ET lugs, and the studs have the same threads you should be okay. I would verify the lug seat on the wheels and the thickness to ensure the ET lugs won’t bottom out on the hub

Do the lug nut center the wheels on to the hub
@MidMoTundra2 жыл бұрын
If your wheels are hub centric they will. My Methods are lug centric so these lug nuts center the wheel overall. The Methods don’t “sit” on the hub, but they are technically centered around the hub. Just not on the hub

Those keys are a myth. A 3/4 socket or a 17 works just as well.

I tried to install a set of Black Rhino Armory wheels on my 2015 Land Cruiser and found out the lug nuts that came with them don't work. I did some researching and I think I need ET lug nuts, although I don't know if I need Mag or Shank style. Do you think ET's is what I need?
@MidMoTundra2 жыл бұрын
I have had multiple aftermarket wheels on Tundras, never Black Rhino tho. ET lugs have always worked on every wheel I’ve ran. I’m running Methods on the 16 and I run SCS ET lugs. I’d run the same lugs if I had aftermarket wheels on our Land Cruiser Here’s the SCS lugs, M14x 1.50 ET is for the 5x150 www.stealthcustomseries.com/products/scs-spline-lugs?variant=27915595459

On Tacoma aluminum wheels lug nuts are mag seat.., can I used cone seat lug nuts.. is it safe ?
@MidMoTundra3 жыл бұрын
I would stay with the same mag seat lug nuts with OEM wheels. If they have the washer style lug I wouldn’t use another style. I’ve used these ET lug nuts on all our Toyota’s with aftermarket wheels

Aftermarket ET lugs won’t work with OEM wheels, I could use the OEM acorn style lugs for OEM alloy wheels

Will these scs lugnuts work/fit on method wheels on a tacoma?

I’m using the SCS lug nuts on my Tundra with Methods. I installed the SCS lugs on both of parents 4Runners (Fuel and Ballistic wheels) so I’d say it should fit no problem

i ran these lugs with no hub centric ring and Ive noticed my methods are having tons of vibration. Are your lug holes out of round or still like OEM?
@MidMoTundra4 жыл бұрын
Hey, I run these lugs on my Tundra with Method wheels and I have no vibrations at all. My wheel holes are perfectly round. Only way I can see them getting messed up is if the lugs aren’t hard threaded on until the ET part of the lug nuts seats into the wheels holes. If they are just impacted on I can definitely see this happening. My local dealer did this and the lug key cracked from being impacted without hand threading first. I do my own tire rotations now on any vehicle with aftermarket wheels.

Dude this video helped me out a ton. Had to do a ton of research until I found out about ET lug nuts, which are most definitely required for a Toyota 4Runner. The stock wheel studs are very short and the lug nuts that were sent to me by Custom Offsets are just standard acorn style lug nuts, which thread very little. Now I know exactly which ones to order. Thanks a lot.
@MidMoTundra4 жыл бұрын
Alejandro Reyes Hernandez I’m glad it was helpful! I don’t think many of the wheel vendors know Toyota’s in general have short studs, I’ve ran ET lug nuts on all of my Toyota trucks and SUVs with aftermarket wheels and never had any issues. It’s scary how few threads the regular acorn style lug nuts grab compared to the ET style.
