Today I am unboxing a new Mytee HP60 Spyder and putting it to the test against a heavily soiled floormat. Watch until the end to find out if this extractor is worth the money or overpriced.

Hey just so you know you are supposed to turn on the pump first then the heater. Turning the heater on first will cause vapor lock and damage the machine potentially. Turn pump on first and purge out any air.

Excellent and honest review. I have been debating between the 8070 and an Hp60. This video helped me decided the Hp60 is worth the extra cost. Thanks for going over the machine, how it works, and showing an honest test (and comparison to the 300).
@archangelauto
@archangelauto Жыл бұрын
I appreciate that! I think that both the 8070 and HP60 are great but I agree that the 60 is the better option if you can swing the extra cost. The extra gallon is nice but honestly the button placement is a huge win for the 60. If you have any other questions, feel free to hit me up!

So dope, I ordered one without looking at any reviews and barely any research. I was originally shopping for a S-300-H and every place I called told me the same thing you did and added its going to be a pain having to stop and check to empty the dirt water reservoir., that I should get the 8070 or the HP60. I ultimately got sold on buying the HP 60 for the added capacity over the 8070 as well as the better specs on the vacuum motor and heater. Thankfully the S-300-H is just about sold out everywhere offering better than MSRP pricing with a back order lead time of 3-6 weeks. Thanks for being a content provider who isn't trying to make money on every angle. 👍

Nice review. Do you think after using it a few months now that the heat stays the same the for the whole tank of fresh water? How consistent is the heat?
@archangelauto
@archangelauto Жыл бұрын
I would say that it has held up extremely well. It is performing exactly the same as day 1. I am curious to see how well it is doing at the 1 year mark. I will make an update video around that time unless something goes wrong with it lol!

You can buy a cut short solution hose plug it in the unit and then run the pump until solution is flowing. This will save your pump in the long run

I recently purchased the same machine when I unboxed the machine the fit and finish was a C- the control panel did not fit properly in its space,none of the internal holes,fittings were deburred .Almost every corner looked like somebody had taken a Dremel and sanded the corners down ,for the $1700. I was disappointed I shipped it back to them. I didn’t even bother turning it on.

The HP60 is so well designed. I have two Sandia carpet extractors. One heated and not the other. The heat is not consistent and I don't like how the hose is just pushed onto the unit vs the HP60 it's screwed on. I don't like to take apart the Sandia just to fill the tank amd you have to be carefull not to get water in the vacuum motor. And then you have to take it apart to drain it. But. I love how how portable the Sandia is and it's price. I'm seriously considering buying a HP60.
@archangelauto
@archangelauto Жыл бұрын
I have not had any experience with the Sandia products but they were a consideration when I bought my S300. Ultimately I chose the Mytee because of build quality. The HP60 is not the most portable one out there because it is pretty heavy but, they do offer a 50' hose on their website. It is pricey at $380 but that would give you a ton more reach. I have seen mobile guys that do that and leave the unit in the van.

Thanks Brandon, that is a big part of what I am doing. When I started out, I watched a lot and purchased products and tools based on reviews only to find out that they sucked. Later I learned that some of these were sponsored and I felt like that was wrong so I want to do the right thing by people. Thanks for watching!

How do you empty the water you didn’t use? Cause I had to vacuum it out (literally) and throw that away because it was easier to dump it from the vacuum 🥴
@archangelauto
@archangelauto Жыл бұрын
To empty the unused water you can simply put the hose into the water tank with the vacuum on and suck it up into the waste tank. From there just empty it as usual. I typically only empty mine if I will not be using it for more than 3 days. Just make sure to empty it before you store it for longer periods of time so that you don't get nasty stagnant water in there!

Does the water tank hold up for a good amount of upholstery ? I clean upholstery in homes and wondering if I could get through an entire sofa without dumping. Thanks in advance.

Just start mine for first time but it sounds like it’s been priming for almost a min and still hasn’t stopped so I shut off
@archangelauto
@archangelauto Жыл бұрын
I would continue to let it prime. When it is brand new like that, there will be air in the lines. Give it a little more time and periodically pull the trigger on the wand until you start to get some water flow. Once it starts spraying water, it should fully prime pretty quick. Make sure you check inside the fill tank also that you have a water level above the little mesh filter and that nothing is clogging it. If you are still having issues after that I would contact Mytee.

@@archangelauto I think they are for “straining” the dirty water as it’s going into the tank. Saw it on another video. It’s like a filter almost.
@AdamConstantine

I need a question answered as I can’t find the answer anywhere. Is it normal for the pump to pulse every 3-4sec while heater and pump are on? It’s not a consistent pump like when the trigger is depressed. It’s like a one little pump noise. Almost like it’s “topping off pressure” or circulating the water to heat it all up or something. This is brand new out of the box.

I do not use any chemicals in the tank and do not recommend that. I only use clean water. There are some out there but I would be cautions using them as some could dry out the seals in the pump.
