Are Game Graphics that important?

this is a video essay, where I discuss the difference between the pure graphical capabilities of a video game and its art direction, the art direction of a video game has more bearing on how it is visually presented, striving for better graphics is still a good thing but not at expense of every other aspect of the game's package.
