About Roll With Cole & Charisma:
Hey everyone! We’re Cole & Charisma. Since the start of our relationship we've gotten a lot of questions about how we make things work as not only an interracial couple, but an interabled one as well. There are certainly differences, and despite them we have a great time, all the time! On this channel, you’ll find travel vlogs, Q&As, couple challenges, how-to/educational videos and more. We started this channel to bring people into our lives so we can answer some questions about how we navigate the world. We’ll show you behind-the-scenes stuff people typically don't see, and hopefully raise awareness surrounding accessibility and dating in a wheelchair. You'll quickly see in our episodes that we're all about positivity, inclusion, and keeping a great attitude no matter your circumstances, so if that's what you're into, you're in the right place!

Spasms are actually good for the muscles, they are a build up of the brain signal that finally gets through and gets to a muscle and activates it. spasms can keep muscles in some what functional shape. it shows some what of signalling getting through and it shows the spinal cord stimulator implant will work. meds just make things worse and cause a lot of medical issues the doctors never tells you about.

Years ago when I was 22 yrs old I hurt my back, tore some muscle, I was bleeding inside because of the torn nerves and some other stuff that I don't want to be reminded of. I hurt desperately, I suffered miserably and I had spasms, involuntary movement, and it felt like there were bugs crawling all over me all the time. I was utterly miserable. It wouldn't stop even though I went to therapy, and doctors tried everything to find relief. The spasms didn't hurt but it made me uncomfortable and it was nagging. I got the spasms throughout my body, at different times whether I was lying down or standing up. I found no relief. This went on for years. I had no choice but to take medication. True story..... when I turned 29 years old I was baptized in water in Jesus name, and then I received the gift of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in other tongues as the Spirit of God gives the utterance, I sold out and surrendered my life to Jesus Christ, and I meant it. Afterwards all of my symptoms went away. Whether you believe it or not, this really happened. I am much older now, I'm healed, I have no more symptoms, no more pains, no more spasms, no more bleeding inside and I can run, jump, bend my knees, walk up stairs, carry stuff whereas when I first had my accident I couldn't. I would not have wished that on my worst enemy at that time. I was in bad shape at that young age. I couldn't do a lot of things any more at that time. But God had Mercy on me! God is a healer! It was all because of Him. O taste and see that the Lord is good, blessed is the man that trust in Him! Try Him for yourself. He said come into me all ye that labour and are heavy laden, take my yoke upon you and learn of me, for my yoke is easy and my burden light; and ye shall find rest unto your soul. Ask the Lord to come into your heart and to save you! Try Him for yourself, then learn more about this man called Jesus Christ. I dare you.

My brother has been gone for about 15 years now and I wish she was here today to see how far things have come. I love watching yours and Carismas vlogs. And how positive you are. You are an amazing couple. Thank You!

Cole I watched the Q & A with Kelly Momma. Your mom tells that memory with such truth and conviction. My heart was touched. I cried. Kelly momma really needs to write a book and then sell the rights to make the book out of a movie. Yes, please Kelly momma. I just love you both soooooo much. Cole u are very handsome and Charisma is very attractive. You both have such loving personalities and seem very approachable. Again have a bless day.😁

Thanks for helping to educate us, about Spasms. As a paraplegic-Incomplete, I would find it hard to explain to others what was happening to my legs. Many times, I just felt so embarrassed in public and did all I could to avoid it or& hide.. It feels freeing to hear your public explanations given. You two are God sent.

Cole and Charisma I think this video is very important for people who don't have spinal cord injuries to give them information, and for people who do have spinal cord injuries that they are not alone in their struggles. I have had spina bifida and hydrocephalus and have spasms in my back and legs at times they have lessened in intensity and frequency but I do have them I like you stopped taking the medication because I slept way to much. I am glad that you are educating and informing the public about this many people think I am kidding or lying when I say I need to stop and rest due to spasm or crap

Sorry I sent when I didn't mean to what I want to say is spasms and cramps are individual and others should not judge how another person feels physically or mentally or emotionally.

I am impressed with how the two of you live your lives to the fullest. You have Faith of the Heart...You can do anything! I admire both of you. 😊❤️

I think you should explain autonomic dysreflexia and/or how we are unable to control out body temperature, especially the dangers of overheating. I dont take meds for spasms either.

I, too, suffer from muscle spasms in my back. Usually , if lying on my back, the spasms pull my knees up to my chin! Baclophen has helped me but I am now waking up to my right hand being all cramped up. I have had 12 spinal surgeries and suffered from severe nerve damage! Thanks for sharing your experience.

I've known spasms since my spinal damage in June 1996. I was 30 weeks pregnant & my BP spiked causing rare ganglion veins wrapped in & around my spine to rupture. The veins were due to a complete heart aortic blockage when I was 2.5...Thankfully my baby girl is healthy even though she was so early. She does have some developmental delays, but she is 24 & perfect! My spasms got me the nickname of Thumper🐇...Over the years my spasms have worsened & are in my abdomen & I too know all too well those "reclining" spasms! But my legs were allowed to contract due to not the best insurance. That causes such issues & they are so severe even with oral meds & a Baclofen pump. I'm on my 3rd pump... I have a bit of feeling in places & I now have neuropathy, a recent issue. I also have AD & have UTIs monthly...It may not be the easiest life, but it is so worth living! I'm blessed to have raised 3 kids & I'm now Nan to 2 beautiful grand daughters! Thanks for sharing your journey!

Cole you are a real trooper and Charisma you are so loving and supportive. It takes a strong support system and there are moments when you want to just break down, but you keep pressing your way. My daughter has spasms that mimic seizures. Hers are very very painful. When we first started dealing with this, she was ashamed in public with the stares and side conversations. She was only 14 then and since then, she has had several diagnoses from MS, Stiff persons syndrome, mini strokes, to finally mow at 22 years old she has been diagnosed with (POTS) POSTURAL ORTHOSTATIC TACHYCARDIA SYNDROME. She also passes out sometimes due to lack of oxygen to the brain and she experiences majority if not all at some point, the symptoms of POTS. I just want to encourage you to keep educating, keep fighting, keep smiling and STAY POSITIVE!!! What you guys are doing has a huge impact on people, more than you know and it is not just the Quads. Love you guys!!!❤🙏

Would love if you could do a video about self-care for “care-takers”! Taking care of your loved ones is a big job (Interabled or not lol) and sometimes checking in with yourself and taking care of yourself is a tough job too. Self-care is important in EVERY relationship, and would love to hear more about what mama Kelly, Charisma, and the rest of the fam do for self-Care or de-stress once in awhile .

I second this. I work in the health care field and sometimes I take off from work just to collect myself. I don't plan on out of town vacation and getting with others. The calm, quiet, no hustle and doing small things for myself focusing on me and my well being. I enjoy my job so taking care of me allows me to better take care of the clients I serve. I truly love you guys. I can't wait for Wednesday. I

Very informative video. I don’t have a spinal cord injury, but I do have fibromyalgia and I have spasms randomly. For me, when it happens it doesn’t hurt. It’s more of a discomfort. I used to get embarrassed when it would happen or when I can’t walk, but now I just go with it and if I’m out in public and I go to spasing I act like nothing happened
