Are Powerbrakes worth it? We tested it on our Tacoma!

The most overlooked mod on any large Toyota build is usually the brakes. You've probably heard of Powerbrakes if you've looked into a big brake kit for your Tacoma, but have you actually seen a real life stop test?
Pretty straightforward, we installed Powerbrake's Stage 2 kit on our Tacoma and did a before and after test with the same weight on the same truck at 45mph. The results speak for themselves - Powerbrakes allowed us to cut our stopping distance in HALF on the Tacoma.

What was the rotor size between stock and those machos…? Also a 17 inch minimum wheel size….that’s telling….

The Powerbrakes are 6 piston billet and stock is 4 piston cast.

bet you a buck you'd see an improvement by switching to rear disc brakes too.
