Been sourcing from China for 20+ years. Agree with the author 100%. Since 2001, a massive transfer of wealth from the West to China has happened. A strong country, like USA needs a strong industrial base, just relying on the service industry won't do it. However, 10% or 25% tariffs are not enough to make the made in USA products competitive against made in China ones.

NAFTA was a disaster for most Americans. Standard of living really declined from that time. Maybe these tariffs really will improve life for the American people? Thank you for the explanation.
