James was writing to Jewish converts to Christianity, that are in exile. This was not written to gentiles that never had the law. In fact this was written to let them know that they are free from the law of condemnation, and if they decided to go back to keeping the law, then there would be condemnation from not keeping it all because they would not have been saved to begin with. Once saved always saved. God does not mistakingly save someone and then they reject Him or vice versa. But, of these that were truly converted, they would remain under grace as they are led by the Spirit and no longer under law. Again, when we see the word law, we know it is addressed to Jews and not Gentiles. Although all doctrine is good for teaching. Today, I see alot of Christians that keep the sabbath and insist that we are to do so. are thery under condemnation, after being saved by grace? I doubt it, as if it were the case, then Christ died in vain. All sins, once for all time are paid for those that are in Christ Jesus. Are there any sins that would escape this promise? No. Are there Christians that are saved and continue to live in sin as though they are not saved. Doubtful. There would be a marked change in a saved person as they are regenerated, given a new heart of righteousness, and the mind of Christ. it would be impossible for one to walk in continual fellowship with Christ and still wallow in sin. Can we stumble? By all means, but we don't enjoy it, nor do we wallow in it. This would be as vile to the Christian born of God, as when a dog returns to its own vomit. We may still sin at times, but we are no longer sinners. Yes you read that right, as we are called the righteousness of God that isd in Christ Jesus. The lost remain sinners and love sin. In fact they hate the righteousness that comes from above. But they love their own self righteousness, which of course is canal.

If not as a vessel unto God's undeserved mercy that came through Christ Jesus on the cross. Then by pouring out His righteous wrath on you for your transgressions. Either way it is a win win for God. It's a win for you also as if you are elect, you will enjoy an amazing relationship with someone that loves you enough to die for you. That is without question. The other win for you, is that you have been made by the Most High God to display His glory through punishing you, and the real kicker here is that it is not only a spectale for all of humanity, but the angels also. They get to marvel at the Judge of all of Earth and Heaven as He does what only God can do, and that is bring immeasurable glory to Himself, and we that are save will wallow in the signicance of Hid glory on a new Earth with our Lord. When do people (who are going to heaven) become sinless?
@Quietninjastar4 жыл бұрын
Not in this life as some would claim. Paul speaks much about the struggle we face with the flesh (Romans 7:21-25), which is to say that while we are in our current bodies we will never be fully rid of sin. Upon our deaths, however, we depart from our bodies and at some point thereafter receive a glorified body which will be perfect in every way, and at that point we will be free from sin. 1 Corinthians 15:50-57 speaks about how we will be changed- Paul calls it a mystery, but it is a sure thing nonetheless that we will be made perfect in order to be in the presence of the Lord.

@theloniouszappa3 жыл бұрын
@@himynameisjohnwumsh7631both, kind of. We all come from Adam (adam and eve), so we all have the rebellious nature of Adam in us. That makes us want to sin. Such as drink, do drugs, steal, etc. So one can choose to sin. If you decide you are going to the store and rob the place, you are choosing to sin. However, we also sin without intention. If I see a man's wife and she is pretty and I unintentionally lust after her, that is also a sin, but it was unintentional. That is why we get baptized in the name of Christ. God sent Jesus to be crucified and killed for us. Because of that, our sins are forgiven if we truly ask for forgiveness in the name of jesus christ. We as humans will never stop sinning as much as we try. It is impossible. But again, those sins will be forgiven.if we ask for forgiveness. Going back to your original question of when do people who go to heaven stop sinning? The answer is never. Everyone who goes to heaven is born a sinner and dies a sinner. The people who go to hell are also born and die sinners. The difference between the two is that the people who are sinners who.go to heaven have asked jesus christ to come into their lives and asked for forgiveness for their sins

@@dalecasselman7356 Lets talk about justice, love and evil for a bit. Lets start with justice. It is best described in the Old Testament, where God gave the rule "eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth", which means the amount of harm you have done to someone, is that same amount harm you get yourself, so justice always demands punishment but never overboards it, it demands only the same amount, the same harm what you have done yourself. Now lets take love. Love is a force which does not demand justice, does not demand giving you the same amount harm back. Love can calm down, forgive and forget the evil done without desiring punishments. That is true love. Now lets take evil. Evil does not forgive, evil does not forget, evil does not desire justice, it always wants to give you more than you deserve. An example, if you insult some gangster just with words, he could murder you, rape your wife and do harm to your kids. So evil is not forgiving nor just, it gives you more than you deserve and the more evil it is the more harm and pain it will give to you. Now people who says that God will torture humans for a literal eternity, because He is so infinitely moral and holy, makes God being not loving who forgives and forgets, not just who only gives the fair amount but pure, absolute evil who never forgives, who never forgets but will torture you forever. This is why the idea of God torturing someone literally forever is a contradiction of His nature, it cannot be literally true.

That's why the Bible explains what happens to those born-again to a new life in Christ: "Blessed and holy are those who share in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them" (Rev 20:6).

It absolutely baffles me, why there needs to be a discussion on the distinctions of sins, when what Christians urgently need to hear daily is the truth about their regeneration in *inherent righteousness* - born of God - and the power of the indwelling Spirit for overcoming both the world and the power of sin. But this is how it has been for more than 300 years. The Reformers have made a cushy career out of never missing an opportunity to call Christians sinners, and unrelentingly digging a hole for themselves and the Protestant movement, that having miraculously escaped the tyranny of Rome, aka, The Mother of Harlots, ironically, could NOT escape from all its dead weight romish Augustinian-baggage. The pews are already all but empty, and places of worship turned to Bingo Halls. When will they stop beating a dead horse? For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. -Romans 6:14 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. -Ephesians 4:24 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. -1 John 5:4 We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not. -1 John 5:18

Shaken not stirred, sorry, but I hv to respectfully correct your language, before saying more. Not saying that there are absolutely no more signs and miracles, but they were given for benefit of unbelievers, to validate the apostles and their teachings. The apostolic doctrines have been fixed long ago, the gospel has been preached for 2000 years, and we are now at the end of age, the heavens are already closing doors as evidenced by the open disdain for the gospel among the unsaved. So why would there be signs and miracle now? 3rd world ministries in places like rural China, Africa and Iran are an exception. Also given the corruption of doctrines, I would not want to see miracles happening and affirming unprofitable ministers. Imagine Sproul performing miracles? Would that be good? The arrogance will be uncontrollable. Therefore I will not judge a man by the miracles he perform, only sound doctrine. No thanks to Luther's indoctrination in the Augustinian Monastery, the Reformers got off on the wrong foot by hanging on to that Roman Catholic Church poster boy Augustine's theology. There is no power of holiness or freedom from sin in their doctrines. So they bred legalistic congregations of hypocrites, full of divorced and remarried people. The result is today overwhelmingly evident in the quality of Protestant congregations worldwide and empty church buildings. The US was founded by the best of reformers, the Puritans, but there 1 in 2 marriages are broken. Adultery is rampant. Abortion is celebrated. The church of Satan has membership is growing. Today half of US citizens are absolute antichrists. They totally hate the gospel. And finally Obama, the devil's commander in chief, opened the Pandora's box by legalizing Gay Marriage. The end.

kevin ruiters, so your are claiming that sin has power over you, correct? Then you CANNOT be born again. And therefore NOT saved. Don't make this about me. Refute the scriptures if you cam, else WORK OUT YOUR SALVATION according to the revealed truth of freedom in Christ. And do not deny the fact that being born of God a new creation, we are now expected to fulfill the law -- no not ritual and dietary laws, but walking even as Christ walked in freedom -- that the righteousness of the law be fulfilled in us -- Romans 8:1-4

@Thomas Jones yes I am judging. But we are called to judge within the house. This is housekeeping. A tree is known by its fruit. Looking at the fruit of the Reformers and Luther, we know with certainty that it was a half baked movement. Luther was practically a Roman Catholic with justification doctrine. Today the pews in US and Europe are empty. Church buildings turned into social halls and Sunday markets. Where is the fruit? Reformers' Achilles heel is the false doctrine in Romans 7 which teaches slavery to sin. Characterizes the wretched man as a Christian. This produced generations of sin slaves in their congregations and bred hypocrisy. The rest is history.

*_"Are there distinctions of sin in hell?"_* It's a trick question, like asking what kind of cheese the moon is made of. There is no "hell." “Hell” appears in the Bible because hell-believing translators put it there, paving over the meanings of three different original Greek words (New Testament). Those words have nothing to do with a place of eternal, fiery torment. Here’s an example. One of those three Greek words was γέεννα -geena or gehenna in English. It appears twelve times in the early Greek texts, and was always translated “hell” by the KJV translators. So, what was γέεννα, really? It was the valley (just outside Jerusalem) which was used as a dump in Jesus’ time. Constant fire and maggots there were sure to destroy whatever was thrown in. But translators said nothing about that dump. Instead, they translated γέεννα as “hell.” Here is an example: ■ “And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire” (Mark 9:47) Using “hell” in that verse was grossly misleading. Jesus was not talking about eternal torment in some sort of fiery hell. Jesus was saying that in the future the unsaved would perish. They would surely be destroyed, just as trash thrown into that dump was sure to be destroyed. Translators (especially King James Version, 1611) made a real mess when they used the word “hell” in place of those three Greek words. They had inherited their hell concept, by tradition, from the Catholic church. By using “hell” they were twisting the meanings of the Greek words, making the Bible appear to support to their concept of a place of perpetual, fiery torment. Over time some some translators have recognized this error, noting the original Greek words in footnotes, or even using the original Greek words directly in the translated text . . . and not using “hell.” Young’s Literal Translation (YLT), for example, never uses “hell.” The damage caused by the translators continues to this day. Millions of reasonable people dismiss Christianity as nonsense when they are told the God of mercy will sadistically torment the unsaved forever and ever in some sort of fiery hell. ➔ Behind the scenes, the pagan doctrine of the immortal soul is partly to blame. The idea that we have an “immortal soul” - that always exists, somewhere - is a pagan Greek doctrine that has crept into mainstream institutional Christianity over the centuries. As a result, most professing Christians today believe exactly what the Greek philosopher Plato taught: that we have an immortal soul which - upon death - separates from the body and lives forever. Here’s Plato: _“Do we believe that there is such a thing as death? And is this anything but the separation of soul and body? And being dead is the attainment of this separation; when the soul exists in herself, and is parted from the body and the body is parted from the soul . . . beyond question the soul is immortal and imperishable, and our souls will truly exist in another world!”_ (Plato, in Phaedo, about 360 BC) The “immortal soul” idea is a re-packaged version of Satan’s lie: ■ “And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die” (Genesis 3:4) People who subscribe to the pagan “immortal soul” doctrine see salvation as a matter of "where we’ll spend eternity - in heaven or in hell.” *Wrong paradigm altogether!* Salvation is not about “where you’ll spend eternity.” You won’t even *_have_* an eternity unless you receive eternal life from God! Otherwise you'll perish, just as stated in John 3:16: ■ "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16)

It's called the "second death" in Revelation 2:11, 20:6, 20:14 and 21:8. After the second death there is no life and there is no hope of resuirrection. It's the end of you. You'll never "be" again.
