It’s because the 2nd amendment evidently doesn’t protect knives… hence why knife laws are seemingly more restrictive and ridiculous than gun laws and politicians like to restrict freedom as much as possible and since knives aren’t protected by the 2nd amendment it makes it much easier to regulate them… not saying firearm laws aren’t ridiculous (they are) but they’re much harder to regulate because politicians have a bigger roadblock (2nd amendment and courts)

Thankfully Gravity Knives are Legal here in Ohio (at least they were last year as long as you do not use them for unprovoked attacks/murder, i will have to double check the laws in my area before i get one of these, i ordered the trainer today though), any kind of knife that are not Ballistic Knives are legal here as long as you use them appropriately

for high dynamic load testing I pound a 7075-T6 Aluminum one through a coconut with a 16oz hammer no problem, and the Stainless steel ones are significantly stronger 80ksi vs 220ksi+

It could be a very useful tool if strengthened a bit, but Sais aren't meant to receive alot of impact and I guess they were still trying to keep even the largest one carryable
