We all love trout fishing in Tas. It's hard to go past Greg French as an authority on Tasmanian trout, perhaps get a copy of 'Wild Heart of Tasmania' and sit down with a coffee to read it one day, Steve.

I enjoy your videos and look forward to the next release. Particularly enjoyed the one on Pejar being a Goulburn local.

great video Steve, you and jo wouldve loved Lake Meadowbank in it's hey day with it's Caenid Feeders. A quirky thing in Tasmania, northerners, Tasmanian who live north of a line between Swansea and Queenstown, pronounce Caenid as" Seenid" us southerners pronounce them as "Kay nid" :)
@StarloGetsReel Жыл бұрын
Yes, I always used to call them “Kay-nids”, but figured Daniel knows best. Potato, pot-ah-toe, Tom-a-toe, tomato… Boags, Cascade… 🤣

Ye, my uncle just used to call them"smut" :)

That is a lovely location. Challenging fly fishing=greatest reward (my view).

I believe the south Australian trout are by far the hardest, a couple of small overfished creeks in the hills is all we have so it’s a one in a million chance to catch them
