I’m probably going to get blasted here. My experience is… I’m tired of the “ I can live here for XXX per month. I’m tired of all the let’s follow us to lunch and watch them eat. It’s really old. If someone is going to start a channel, go deep, go way past all the things that have been done 10,000 times!. The big shopping malls have been done a million times. Go off the beaten track! I do appreciate that you go beyond the most mundane. But honestly I have stopped watching but a few bloggers because of the same old same old!

You're reminding me of my age, lol. My very first Thailand KZbinr I followed was Kev-In-Thailand, sadly passed away. Another good follow is 20 Seconds in Thailand, CB Media, Thairish Sun, Pete on Retreat, Ying in Thailand, Jett Gunther, Jonny There is Something Happening, Cal, Vagabond Awake, Live Love Thailand... loads more, then there are the ones who popped up after C-vid. Like Paddy Doyle, Retired working 4U, your buddy Sam, yourself. A few others have passed away, or just stopped. All in all, the red-light videos are boring, up the soi, down the soi, on the plane, off the plane, this condo, that condo, bought a bar, lost the bar, cost of living etc. I've been watching the struggle for original content for awhile. I'm not a creator so I have nothing to add except I prefer authentic over Instagram. Anyway, Cheers.

I took my wife out for dinner for her birthday on Rawai beach Phuket, I counted at least 11 KZbinrs trolling the streets, a few got into trouble because they were too invasive with patrons just trying to relax and eat. bad behaviour in my opinion! The nation of Thailand and other countries are saturated with KZbinrs and if you ask me, privacy to the general public is not respected! Keep up your good work however.

Keis KZbin keeps putting all these Thailand channels that show nothing but the same bar stuff in Bangkok Pattaya and Phuket. I’ve been blocking those channels. I’ve got a few like yours that I follow. But lately I’ve been searching for Thai KZbinrs, as long as they have English subtitles I’ll watch them. Great to get the locals point of view versus a westerners.
@saddq114 сағат бұрын
There are some farang YT'ers who actually vlog in fluent Thai. They are by far the most viewed foreign vloggers in Thailand, since they have a large Thai viewer base. For example My Mate Nate, David William and Hatchtag. Their vlogs are all in Thai though and no subtitles. But they're very popular, cos they are young, animated guys with beautiful, white-skinned gfs.
@charliestoybox209914 сағат бұрын

It is an interesting thing, are there too many youtubers ? who is to say, if that is what people want to do to make coin good on them, the success rate of a youtuber as a primary source of income is maybe 3%, Me personally I like watching youtubers when they are out and about seeing different places, seeing person X going down Soi 6 , boring to me, but simps out there like it and they watch. End of the day is is a fickle market, and to reply on income derived from KZbin revenue is, in most cases, not going to be a long term success.. I have only had one confrontation with a youtuber, an American guy in Pattaya who was telling people in a restaurant to be quiet as was trying to stream. I suggest he GFH, You tubers have zero right to tell anyone to get out of a shot or be quiet or whatever if they are filming in a street or public venue.. Are they ruining Thailand, no I wouldn't say so, the youtubrs doing "can you live on $1000 a month" type videos, they are just doing it for views.and likely to ever cross paths with me , if people get value from them then great. Do I think they underestimate Thailand's costs ... yes totally, but people need to follow their own paths.

The Thailand Vloggers genre has exploded since 2020 and you’re right they can be very ‘same same’ 😅. The ‘daily lifer’ and ‘travel Vlogger’ channels do the frequency well whereas the info channels start to repeat quite quickly so come & go and are easy to get bored of. Collaboration vids were a real draw a couple of years back but then most channels were doing them and YT was full of videos of the same meet-ups from a different vlogger’s perspective - so the first to release become the only one worth watching. Those moving to 🇹🇭 still offer some interesting vids if done in a slightly different style. Plenty out there .. good luck to them all 😎😎

Just so many people doing this now. Blows my mind. Seems like the people who talk about ladyboys, scams, nightlife with a good click bait thumbnail get the views. That’s what the average Joe will click on to kill some time. There are youtubers in Pattaya who seem to do the same clip every week about warning newbies about the dangers of dating bargirls but get the views. You got to wonder if people are even seeking any creativity 😂

@kendowding6831Күн бұрын
Personally I only look at what I consider to be the quality channels , mainly the travelling videos, and what's happening in and around thailand, i would love to name them, but better I stay away from doing so lol Now we all know that if a youtuber is succesfull he can most definately make a relatively steady income, I get that, and good luck to those who do !! But there are some who are just not meant to be in that category. Example 1 There is one ( nameless of course ) who gets behind the camera and thinks he looks cool when he's drunk and using the f word in every sentence, he tries to emulate his channel in the way other good youtubers do, then I've seen videos where he slags them of and he's even said he thinks that a certain youtuber makes his stories up, and he doesn't believe them !! How disrespectful!! Example 2 This plank did a video afew months ago , giving all the advice out that we've heard so much in the past !! But then shocked horror he comes out about how corrupt the thai police can be, He needs advice himself regarding the defamation laws in thailand , it's a wonder the boys in brown haven't pulled him in yet!! But the worst part is, I can imagine a first time visitor to Thailand getting pulled over by the b Boys in brown and then pulling out a 1000 baht note , saying let's forget it , then getting thrown in jail for attempting to bribe an officer!! Yeh great advice Mr youtuber!! Now the one thing I personally don't like is when youtubers use the word newbies or Simps I think in that case they / we forget that in the past we were newbies and simps to, but I think that these words derive from the big fat, skint, ( not all ) ex pats who sit in soi bukhao, with thier daily allowance of 3 chang beers and pad thai from a street vendor who because of thier downfalls, slag us all off Anyway it would be nice to start seeing them known as first timers!! And finally I have the utmost respect for the yoùtubers who point the camera forwards and not into the bars , the girls don't like it, and although I've been going to Thailand for many years , I don't like it either, neither do the majority of other visitors, so thank you all, to be honest I'm surprised that some of the less professional youtubers haven't been badly hurt by a tourist yet, the way they think they have the right to film anything, and everywhere, they want !! But hats of to those who show respect . Happy new year and let's keep up the standards some of you clearly show and present.

I use travel KZbinrs for my Travel KZbin haha All of them are great at prepping me so I know what to expect. LIke my Thailand Trip, you Mark Weins and that retired and working for you guy were the 3 main guys for me to know what to expect. Sure for my extracurricular activities I had Asian nights and Walking Pattaya so i know where to find the Happy funtime girls. SO that the PRO!!! The Con is the more a place is covered the more tourists it attracts, you guys are all tourism ads for whatever country. I love Laos and Cambodia because they are rarely covered and a lot less western dudes, they are still places where most the people don't speak english. Finding a burger can be near impossible, and I love that. I travel because I want that Indiana Jones feeling of being the only Hawaiian/Mexican that's ever been there. But in the world of globalization more and more people will go to Cambodia and eventually Laos that it will all be like Thailand. I went to Vietnam in 2006 and I was like the only American anyone has seen in years even decades, but I went back this year and Western dudes were everywhere. Its not as intense as Thailand but still its on its way. Whenever the Myanmar regime falls, that maybe the last asian country that is relatively untouched.....tourist wise.
