To me, Victor from corpse bride is Victor from Frankenweenie’s descendent and Jack is the Frankenweenie Victor, and Zero is a different dog. Because we see Zero’s grave in Frankenweenie. The wife in Vincent might be real and she might have become Sally. Vincent is Victor’s science teacher.
@nessaurus131210 жыл бұрын
I believe in this Theory, because we know that the young victor is an inventor, so he could easily create a time-machine which would let him go back in time whenever he wanted to play with his dead dog (Sparky) which turns out to send him back in time, in which he ends up being addopted and have a new dog that actually dies while he in growing up on that time, and then Corpse Bride takes place, untill Victor dies and becomes Jack Skellington in the after-life and Zero might be the spirit of both dogs, also Sally could be the spirit of the Bride from Corpse Bride. I don't know if it makes sence but inside my brain it's the best way to make the theory more realistic :)

Thank you for debunking this! Whenever I even mention one of Tim Burton's movies, this theory is stated. I'm glad I'm not the only one that saw the large plot holes. The time that "Frankenweenie" and "The Corpse Bride" (my favorite movie of all time by the way) make this theory beyond impossible. It is just too far of a stretch. Not to mention the fact that the younger Victor is more into science than the older one. That huge interest in biology wouldn't just disappear. I love this channel's conspiracy theories. I think that Victor DID create a time machine and go back in time, and used it to go to The Corpse Bride movie time, but during the transformation from that time to the other, the machine blew up when he was in the time of The Boxtrolls movie, and also in the explosion he transformed into a troll himself, then becoming the leader of all the boxtrolls. Then after all the years with Eggs and stuff, he finally creates another time machine which he uses to get back to The Corpse Bride time, when the machine blows up (again) and the machine turns him back into a boy, blah blah blah, and he grows up to be Victor in The Corpse Bride. So there.

Also, how could Sparky be adopted and renamed Zero in Halloweentown by Jack Skellington in this theory if Victor had not died yet, gone to Halloweentown and taken on the Jack Skellington alias? During the time frame that Zero was being "born" Victor was still with his bride up on earth and was not dead yet.
@RoyalBlu6 жыл бұрын
It's also worth noting that Corpse Bride's Victor carries a Dutch surname (van Dort) and the citizens of Frankenweenie are celebrating Dutch heritage in their town of New Holland. Corpse takes place in a European town, so very possibly the Netherlands. (if not, its easy to say they're Dutch immigrants in England, which is my guess based on how Victorian everything is) I think there's a possibility that Victor Frankenstein is the descendant of van Dort, assuming that a descendant of the van Dorts married into the Frankenstein family (presumably the classic Doctor Frankenstein himself, which would explain young Victor's love for science) and at some point immigrated to the United States into the dutch community of New Holland. I think that's the most logical theory. I do, however, strongly love the idea that young Victor created a time machine to see Sparky again (after all, if he could revive the dead I'm sure he could figure out time travel at some point) but through a miscalculation ended up stuck in 1800's Europe, was taken in by the van Dorts, etc etc.

I have a theory that as a child tim had multiple dogs during his estranged life and they each died as they did in his movies so creating these fictional characters as a coping mechanism so he probably does have a very creative mind as I do as well and that after the third loss of his dog he himself became a sort of recluse.

when victor ran off after losing scraps, he came across the same forest that sent Jack Skelington to Christmas Town, but in a different section, where there were trees that were portals to different time periods, instead of dimensions, and he fell through a tree that sent him to the late 1800's, where he was adopted, and lived, and then died, and became Jack Skelington. (and by the way, who directed it doesn't matter in my version of the theory)

Might be a family blood line on Victor Vanedort and Victor Frankenstein. Just think of it because The Corpse Bride was set in the 18th century, if I'm correct, in the end married Victoria Everglot. Through out the years of possibly of the Vanedort (since the wife always changes to the husbands last name) children marrying or not we stop at the Frankenstein family where It could be possible in the 1818 (where the story of Frankenstein was originally written) that one of the Vanedort children in the family tree, which is a daughter, married the famous Doctor Frankenstein. I haven't read the story yet but it's just a hunch. As the now Frankenstein family tree grows we finally reached Victor,Ben, and Susan Frankenstein. Ben probably refused to believe one of the family bloodline married THE Frankenstein because of his last name, cuz again the wife always changes their last name, saw how different Victor is so that's why he tries to make him normal because back in the days you needed that all American Family. I'm short conclusion: the family is just curious on life and death and the wonders what you can see on that especially on the bad side of it.

I totally am happy someone pointed out the obvious timeline problem with this theory (although the time machine idea is kind of interesting…) But come on, people. Victor Frankenstein is a science and movie-obsessed kid who is overall pretty normal. Victor Van Dort is a meek character from his upbringing who grows through his story, and Jack Skellington is a very confident character. They have nothing in common to say they are the same people. Why not just say that the dog was reincarnated? Also, Tim Burton has no variation drawing dogs? They may all be little, but just look at the shapes of Abercrombie, Zero and Sparky's heads; one is a long triangle, one is a rounded triangle, and one is a combined circle and extremely elongated triangle. Sparky is the only one that shares a lot of resemblance to Family Dog and Scraps… is a skeleton. Though his "living" picture looks a lot like Abercrombie with longer ears and a Zero-like smile.

rusty shackleford I think that if Tim Burton tryed to make all the storys in the same universe, he would make the timeline fit. Because strictly, the cartoons don't exist in any universe, those are just movies.

To everyone say " every story has a beginning, middle, and end. not necessarily in that order" IT'S A FILMING REFERENCE. Many films, such as Citizen Kane, start with the middle or end of the story, and everything else is told through flashbacks. Many films are also not always made in the order the story actually takes place, and the scenes are put together in the correct order later. Ya'll need to take more filming classes.

another theory: corpse bride is the first one in this theory, at the end of corpse bride victor gains interest in the dead from what happened so he spends his life researching the dead but he has kids and grows old and focuses of his family, a couple generations later and we have the young victor named after his ancestor aka frankenwienie movie, so the young victor gets a dog but the dog passes and later he finds the research about the dead and finds a way to bring the dead back so he tries it and it works. so i didn't know to add nightmare before Christmas because Tim burton didn't direct it. but i did. Because victor was so interested with death he spent his life finding out as much as he could, so when he died he got sent to halloween town and became the leader because of his knowledge of the dead.

I could explain this, How about if Victor van horts (hope I spelled it right) fled to america with his corpse bride due to being exiled, and then he legally changes his name to frankenstein, which starts the frankenstein family, which would lead to the events of Frankenweenie, AND nightmare before christmas, which happens at the exact same time. Victor van horts, now as jack, has become bored of hosting halloween for so many years, and it could be possible that frankenweenie and nightmare before christmas take place at the same time due to the human world setting in both movies, that 1950s suburbia setting. Then they just take place in different locations I guess. How do you think THAT hold up?

I find it confusing how Victor becomes Jack Skellington mostly because he would have known Zero was Sparks and actually call him Sparks instead of Zero.

uh no this conspiracy is soooo true! Dates never really matter in movies but i came up with something: what if its just Jack Skellington is just remembering his old life which brings up old memories about Christmas which also would explain when Jack sings the song about Christmas in Christmas town he knows what some of the things in Christmas town are. That's just the way i think about it!

Actually most people think that sparky is the same dog and jack skelington is the same person in all three films

I think Apracrombie (Correct me if I spelled it wrong) is ethier the alive version of Zero,or even a brother of Zero.Because the noses,look EXTREMELY alike.
