I’ve recently been doing 2 Tbsp every morning. My cholesterol has went from nearly 300 to 173 with no other changes in my diet or routine. I didn’t have that low even when I was on Lipitor years ago. All other markers are good/within range.

The healthiest olive oil comes from Morocco and Tunisia, due to the harsh desert climate conditions that stress the olive trees to produce olives that are high in beneficial polyphenols than trees growing in California. Use olive oil for salads and low temperature cooking, and avocado oil for higher temperature cooking, as olive oil breaks down into unhealthy compounds at elevated temperatures.

@@johannesherbst3632 Any olive oil is better than vegetable, canola, corn or other bad oils. But, a higher quality olive oil is best. Cold pressed has more nutrients. Glass bottles decrease microplastics that cause a variety of issues when added up over time. New study released on that. And organic allows you to avoid pesticides, that also cause a variety of health issues. Can’t say that anything will happen, but it is healthier to go with higher quality.. Especially in the long run.

One of the worst things about 'studies' is if the results aren't what the researchers wanted, then they can chuck the study and no one ever sees it. There is no law that says they have to publish anyway. So, even studies don't reflect the 'complete' truth.

I'm with Esselstyn on this one. All oils are processed/refined products not found in nature. Oils are not health foods, if you want some dietary fats, get them from whole foods like whole olives, whole avocados and or whole nuts and seeds. If you are already fat yourself, no need to supplement your diet with more refined fats. Basically any whole food that you consume contains fat in the right proportions.

I'll subscribe, because you showed my giant bottle of California Ranch olive oil in the video opening. Nobody drinks this as far as I know. We use it sparingly in our house. I think all oils and fats should be consumed with the goal of achieving a 50-50 ratio between omega 3 and 6 fatty acids. We do that by avoiding all manufactured faux-foods while eating greens, nuts, avocados, olives, coconuts, flaxseeds, beans, certain properly prepared seeds, wild rice, quinoa, lentols, chickpeas, eggs from truly free-range chickens and ducks, salmon, sardines, herring, and our local trout and bass. We use coconut oil and duck fat for cooking, olive oil and real avocado oil in homemade condiments, dressings, and sauces.

Reality is we have overcooked our meat, we burn our olive oil til it becomes bad, meat and oils are not bad it's what we do with them that make them bad, the food we eat enlarged being real foods are not bad for us it's what we do to them before we eat them that can make them bad. Draining off water after you boil potatoes, veggies, and all the good stuff went down the drain. So it's hard to blame food. stuff that is made or produced, or even refined, margarine is one molecule short of being plastic, or is it. It makes a difference when people like you tell us your findings and conclusions to help aid our decisions.
