Okay I don't know if I'm making a good point or not forgive me if I cause a stir of emotions I'm speaking my point of view as a man on feminism . The older feminism emphasized on empowering women. I especially emphasize the word empowering, meaning it encouraged , improved the way when it comes to the sad subject of domestic violence . It encouraged women to speak about their emotional as well as physical well being . It taught them that women have choices like they can hold themselves and support themselves it tread a fine line between being a women and as a working women . Then came the modern feminism which downright degrades men . The current feminism makes women forget their feminine qualities like nurturing encouraging and the very essence of female touch has been down trodden and destroyed . Instead of being a supportive of women it's mainly used to degrade men , unwanted hookup culture , and most importantly it's bring used to destroy other women too . Feminism works really well when it's backed by men and accepted as a equal responsibility between men and women . There's also a sad fact that feminism works only in European and American culture . In Asia it has its share of brutal consequences I mean I have seen domestic violence that are extreme and in middle east it practically doesn't exist . My final take would be feminism has driven good men from pursuing women and has gotten us into a situation where one can only hope there'll be some light .... thank u for actually having some valid thoughts on this subject . Ps .pardon ne if I have stepped out if line ... stay safe and be blessed .

I don’t think you stepped out of line, I agree with most that you said, but I don’t agree that modern feminism is all about degrading men and destroying women. I think we went too far in some aspects, especially pushing away feminine qualities, but those statements are too strong in my opinion☺️

@DominikaJankowski thank u . U know my grandma used to say whatever movements comes and goes there should be checks and balance , compromise, commitment and finally a solution . Sadly sometimes I wonder we've gone too much that there's no solution .. thank u so much .

@@DominikaJankowski It's definitely about degrading men at the expense of women. If so many people are saying this, it's not because of "MISOGYNY!!" - there are actually parts of your movement that spew prejudice against men but I guess it's easier to demonize the other side than own up to the mistakes of feminism

I agree with much of what you have said and picking and choosing what you want to keep from the past should be a negotiation. In the past women were forced to settle for men for survival but now women can be independent and don't have to settle, it's a different world. Men now also realise women historically didn't love them and they are more aware of women's motivations for being with them. Men no longer want to be used by women, and have their own unique problems to deal with. I think we are more divided in many ways than we have ever been. As an egalitarian I believe feminism is important but also just an ideology that is not beyond questioning.

I believe women (those who want be mothers) should be housewives. That way they are safe and sheltered, with access to everything she needs. I want to be a husband and father some day, so it wouldn't be fair if I to tell my wife she should work while pregnant. A man protects and provides.
