Jess, I've followed you for years. I've been unsubscribed from you twice, as well as 4 other preparedness channels. I have both of your books. This is absolutely one of your absolute best videos. They are even censoring Dr. Bergs channel because of what he teaches. I've been going to the used book store and buying the older, real, books. You are spot on!!! When they started censoring, it was our smack up side the head to get ready.

I suffer from depression and let me tell you, if I am having a bad day my husband will be like..”Does Jess have a new video up today? Why don’t you check and see what she’s up to today.” It does not matter what you are doing I just love listening to you and your stories of everything you share with us all. I have learned so much from you in gardening and just everyday life in general. I love to hear your laugh and your voice is very calming. I love the way you and your family and friends just share as much as you do. I always look forward to your, “I bless you… until next time” ❤️ Thank you very much Jess, I very much appreciate you.

This is a very wise message. Our world is slowly losing its grasp on reality. I have been very concerned about AI for several years now and it feels like we are only at the beginning of what's in store. We are witnessing history being erased or changed right in front of our very eyes...although it's hard to know what history was ever true anyway! Very strange times to be living through. If one hasn't found God yet, now might be the time. Thanks for being a real voice out there Jess. Blessings 🙏

You’re not the only KZbinr that’s having this problem everybody who is teaching sustainable living is being targeted, at first I thought it was just a glitch in KZbin but now I think it’s more than that. It’s kind of a coincidence that all of the platforms that I watch are going through the same problem with losing subscribers that did not unsubscribe to their channel. I will keep making sure that I am subscribed to your Chanel and I will keep sharing your videos.

Honestly, I am holding onto and adding to my collection of cookbooks. The collections from churches and schools. I love seeing the handwritten notes in the margins of old cookbooks. Estate sales, garage sales, the older, the better. They can mess with stuff on the net, but books about all kinds of things kept and shared will help us all down the line.

I agree with you entirely on the untested recipes, as someone that had to teach myself how to cook as an adult it is SOOOO frustrating when a recipe doesn't work and won't work! Not only is it a waste of ingredients but a waste of time and there is NOTHING worse than spending hours on a meal whatever and then it doesn't turn out.

Yes! I like to use old recipes from tried and true sources. What's crazy about fact-checking is, the more misleading information becomes prevelant the more it will check out among different sources. As a nurse who now has a degree in nursing I learned about evidence based practice. That is practice that is supported by research and experience and is published in reputable journals that are peer reviewed. I learned to have a critical mind when consuming information about anything in my life. As I was listening to you I was thinking that having a peer reviewed homestead journal and warehouse is just what we need. Somewhere to keep and review the information we need. It would be a huge undertaking. Also we need to be doing are own research when finding info and not just settle on the first thing that sounds good or supports our current way of thinking. Not to say that I haven’t been fooled but I am getting better at seeing the fake things faster.

Jess, I think this is one of the most important videos you have ever done and is a great public service. I have been following you for years and love, love, love your content and have learned so much from you. I had a knee replacement done last May and did a LOT of research online both before and afternoon. There is a lot of good information online. However, in my research, I also came across several websites that started out providing what I had come to recognize as good, solid information, but several paragraphs in, I was scratching my head and saying, “What are you talking about? That is plain wrong!” Also, I could clearly see where they had sometimes pulled information from other blogs, sometimes completely out of context. I am a retired pharmacist and also did years of medical research for a legal firm, so felt comfortable evaluating the content. I was horrified that someone might go to one of these sites and actually trust the information. It was pretty clearly something that was put together for some other purpose than providing information that could be trusted. Your advice to have hard copies of information you can trust is spot on. Thank you for your wisdom and caring. BTW, I’m in Columbia, SC, so not too far from your new home!

I always use my own hand written recipes or old cookbooks. I have some cookbooks that are from the 1930’s and 1940’s. Got them on line and they are the real thing. They are even well used looking. Plus I love old books. There’s a ton of great info in them. These are the way your granny’s cooked and their moms. No fake ingredients or chemicals. Love your talks. God bless. ❤️👍🏻🖖🏻💪🏻🙏🏻🙋🏼‍♀️

Jess, love ya lady, but this is the reason why this oldster writes down all new recipes in a binder that I've gotten from blogs. I even write which blogger it came from! This senior can't afford to waste food or food money. I watch a lot of homestead blogs, and am very happy about all the newer generations becoming more involved in growing food. Don't want AI involved in my life. Have a blessed day.

I tried a recipe for mini Pumpkin Cheesecakes from a reputable magazine’s blog post (really wanted to use this for my Thanksgiving dessert) and the cook time was way off and the amount of butter and graham crackers needed was also way off. I thought surely whoever wrote this recipe did not actually cook it this way. They would have been eating raw & crumbly cheesecakes 😂 It all makes sense now… thanks for opening my eyes Jess! I’m going to refer to whatever I can find from my Mamaw’s old cookbooks now. Can’t trust the internet ✌🏼

Thank you, Jess. I had not even considered the corruption of information due to AI, nor the importance of grabbing good information in non-digital form. For me, this post was very valuable. With respect to people being unsubscribed or not receiving notifications for your channel, this has been happening for years to overtly political commentators or anyone who challenges the prevailing mainstream narrative. (I did not know that natural immunity was suppressed). The fact that people are possible being unsubscribed or not notified when you post tells you that you are touching on sensitive information. This makes your work that much more important.Thank you so much again for this post and all that you do.

Jess my fool proof recipe for dinner rolls, pizza dough, and cinnamon rolls is... 1 cup warm water 1 tablespoon yeast 1 tablespoon sugar salt to preference 4 tablespoons olive oil 2.5ish cups of flour (more or less depending on your humidity, flour, etc.) Mix and knead for 5 minutes, let rise for 30 minutes. Use as you wish! If I do cinnamon rolls, I let them rise for 15ish minutes after rolling and cutting them. I bake at 350F until done. I use this recipe 2-3 times a week.

Hello Catholic Lady! I'm just a messenger, do don't take this the wrong way, (not condemning). But as a follower of Christ, I have a love and pursuit of the truth the exceeds my need for self regard. I have noticed that lies have infiltrated every aspect of every one of the institutions I have come to trust and rely on. I would like everyone to at least be aware of the truth in all things. One of which is that the Catholic Church changed the ten commandments. Im pretty sure that is a big NO NO. They deleted the "shall not have idols before me" and expanded "thou shalt not covet" to two commandments which include "neighbors goods", and "neighbors wife". Cross check it with the original text of the Torah, and ANY other Bible. I can't in good conscience be affiliated with any organization that endorses lies and falsehoods. (Pretty much excludes the whole world at this point). Just a data point. God bless you. Have a great day. God is good, and Today is a day the LORD has made. Be Glad. It's all part of the divine rescue. We have nothing to fear as we continue to grow in His likeness, under his loving hand of protection! Peace ! ❤✌️😎

You are so right about making sure the recipe is from a trusted source. I’ve followed you, DSH, LTraditions, Appalachia’s Homestead, Doug and Stacy, Rain Country , and Holler Homestead and maybe a couple others . I watch your cooking, canning, prepping and then I may try it. I also watch one, then check to see how the others do it and pick which way I want to try. I may try them all when I can to see which one I like best. I trust y’all because I’ve followed you all for years and I’ve read the comments of others who’ve tried it too.

Such an "interesting" time we are in. So difficult to navigate the truth on so many levels. Integrity seems to be not as important as it once was. Always enjoy hearing your thoughts. It is good to have hard copies of information that we need to refer to no matter the current situation. I Bookmark (literally) so many useful tidbits in my books and cookbooks. I have my favorite recipes in a binder or my recipe box. Nice to have them handy at all times but sometimes I try a recipe and forget to put them where I can find it again and to search for it is such a pain so I am trying to be better about this myself. Take care.
