Salvation from past sins is by Grace once we learn the truth, but if we go on sinning afterward means we’re spitting on that grace and earning damnation all over again.

At 7:09, the church of Christ preacher says that grace would exclude faith. This is an unfortunate yet common conclusion from man-centered theology for there would be no faith without the grace of God. Faith is the means of God’s grace for salvation not something external to God’s grace. Because of the paradigm of the preacher, he can now set the stage for the necessity of man to do something in order to “access” God’s grace. For this reason it is by faith, in order that it may be in accordance with grace, so that the promise will be guaranteed to all the descendants, not only to those who are of the Law, but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all, (Rom. 4:16 NAS95) But by His doing you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption, so that, just as it is written, “LET HIM WHO BOASTS, BOAST IN THE LORD.” (1 Cor. 1:30-31 NAS95) God’s grace is not the availability of salvation or the opportunity to be saved; God’s grace is demonstrated in the fact that you are saved. Also the issue is NOT about earning salvation; the issue is whether or not salvation is a cooperative enterprise - God does something and man does something. Salvation does not necessitate man’s cooperation for it is a complete sovereign work of God. I have watched numerous video of church of Christ preachers addressing Reformed theology. Why is it that they never present an informed presentation?

You’d throw out the rest of the Bible in order to support your evil twist on a few verses? John 3:10 By this it is evident who are the children of God, and who are the children of the devil: whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is the one who does not love his brother.

@@joebolling "You’d throw out the rest of the Bible in order to support your evil twist on a few verses? " How kind of you sir? You are going to do a lot better than hurl insults. How about dealing with the presuppositions that the church of Christ is bring to the text?
@joebolling4 жыл бұрын
@Rick Caldwell , that wasn’t an insult. You literally *do* throw out the rest of the Bible and build an entire doctrine around a few verses to claim you can enter heaven without any regard for God’s laws. And then rather that defend your position, which of course would be futile, you want to debate a particular denomination as a whole.

Joe Bolling 😂 Hahaha I needed a little humor today. My position is not built on a few verses. The entire Bible supports my conclusions. Care to discuss the issues without rushing to judgment.

@Rick Caldwell , I’m referring to THE Bible, not the satanic bible. According to this scripture from THE Bible, you are identified as a child of Satan: John 3:10 By this it is evident who are the children of God, and who are the children of the devil: whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is the one who does not love his brother.

Oh come Lord Jesus, save us from this heresy of presenting Grace and then through trickery yanking it right back again by the end of the lesson. These people are trusting not in Christ but in themselves. We are saved by Grace alone, meaning by means of one sacrifice provided by God and His only Son. We are saved by faith alone, meaning entirely apart from works, so faith or leaning on something, is the only means to secure salvation. We are saved by Christ alone, meaning that He alone was qualified and died for all and that faith in His work is the only object of saving faith. So we are saved by faith alone, through Grace alone, in the work of Christ alone.

@@GottaGetGary that verse is about justification before men not God, you "see". Its about what men see, not about what God said for us to do to be saved.

Sin can open doors that can't be closed. Some of the repercussions of sin over time are coldness or lukewarmness towards God, spiritual blindness, spiritual deafness, spiritual drunkedness, spiritual deception, spiritual darkness, bondage, demonic oppression or possession, perversion, addiction, idolotry, depression, anger, emptiness, desperation, denial, stunted spiritual growth, weak moral compass, lack of wisdom, lack of control, lack of contentment, resentment of truth, apostasy, a hardened heart, a loss of conscience, depravity, and enmity with God.

Not everyone who believes will go to heaven. If grace alone saved you, then working iniquity would not affect your judgment. Those who work iniquity will be cast out, even if they believe. Consider mathew 7 21Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
