Hello Dr Brown. I have so much respect for you. Thank you for this message. To all the ladies, let me say this. There is so much work to be done. Let’s just get busy offering ourselves as a living sacrifice and keep following Christ. We don’t have to understand the distinctions, we just have to agree with God. There’s no time for quibbling.

@Blue Jay Aves - Good morning. I'm actually advocating for women to do ALL the work and let others complain, argue and debate whether a woman should be doing it or not. I don't have time for that. There's too much to be done. I teach anyone who will listen. I preach to those who are hungry and don't care about any person but God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. Once you put your eyes on Him, nothing else matters. So I let the Holy Spirit work through me in any way He wants to, doing ANY task he calls me to. I guess I should have been clearer in my first message.

@Erica Hernandez - Hello my sister in Christ. It can be hard when the Christian community behaves badly. A good thing to remember is that God is working through broken people. Where they are at the moment you encounter them may not be where they are some time later. Meh, and maybe they will still be there. But God never changes, and he is the reason we are in this community. It’s his doctrine that is true and never changing. His principles that we long to live by. Erica, just keep your eyes on our beautiful Lord. Ask him for his perfect perspective and understanding. And let’s agree to pray for each other so we don’t get stuck or go backwards. Read 1 Corinthians 13, and let’s pray that this is how we work with one another. Because with what is spoken in it, there is no argument, debate, or rule to break. I speak peace to you.

What does the scripture say? 1 Tim. 2:12-13 "But I do not allow a woman to teach or exercise authority over a man, but to remain quiet. 13 For it was Adam who was first created, and then Eve." Titus 1:5, 6, "For this reason I left you in Crete, that you might set in order what remains, and appoint elders in every city as I directed you, 6 namely, if any man be above reproach, the husband of one wife, having children who believe, not accused of dissipation or rebellion." The verses clearly teach a woman is not to teach or exercise authority over a man because Adam was created first thereby making it a doctrinal mandate and not a cultural one. In the second verse, Paul tells Titus to appoint men as elders. So, we can clearly see that the Bible teaches it is the men who are to be an authority in the Church; but, in order to justify having women be in authority and teaching men, the texts are deconstructed and reinterpreted. In the case of first Timothy "a woman" means a "wife of a particular man"; or, Adam being created first means that "he is more responsible for his sin than Eve"; or, that "husband of one wife" really is a phrase used of women as well. Today, in 2020, 80% of churches with female pastors, ordain same-sex pastors and perform homosexual 'marriages' Amen.

God does NOT contradict his word! But when MEN dont do what God has called them to do, there can be a situation like Deborah. But its because men dont do what Jesus told them to do. The reason women are in leadership positions as elders is that there are NO real MEN among them. The reason a woman leads the houshold and the family is that the man in that household is NOT A REAL MAN. Men must in faith take up his authority and be a Head, king, prist and prophet in his home werher its family or congregation. If you do that this word will be true in your situation Gen 3:16 Woman, thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.

Since we’re so zealous to be biblical, why don’t we sell all of our earthly possessions and put all of our proceeds in one big account for the benefit of everyone, like they did in the book of Acts? Who wants to go first? Is there anything else we should be doing differently? Oh yes, we should be meeting in smaller intimate house churches, having meals together and communion, singing and praying for each other while not quenching the Holy Spirit. Sorry, no more Sunday sermons centered around one personality. We’ll actually have to interact and share with each other. Maybe I can learn from you and you can learn from me? Let’s get rid of all the big buildings. And what about tithing? There is no mention of tithing in the New Testament, only giving without compulsion. In fact, you are free to give as much or as little as you like and you can expect to yield what you have sown (since that really is the spiritual principle of giving). When’s the last time a pastor told you that though? And yet we are so worried that Paul’s instructions to Timothy for the church he pastored 2000 years ago in a society where the women had no rights are going to be violated. Now hush up ladies, you’re apparently still living under that curse in Genesis where the husband rules over his wife...WRONG! And don’t you dare take authority over a man by sharing the gospel with him because that would be teaching. Go find a man to teach him or you’ll be sinning. Do you see how spiritually ignorant we can be? Cherrypicking the scriptures to bolster our own prejudices. I prefer male pastors and that is my personal preference but, in many parts of the world there would be no pastors (or teachers) at all were it not for the women. Galatians 3:28, “There is no longer Jew or Gentile, slave or free, male and female. For you are all one in Christ Jesus.” There is no room for “machismo” in the church folks and I am seeing many comments that are nothing more than appalling towards women in the commentary on this video. And one more thought, Psalm 68:11 says, “The Lord gives the command; the women who proclaim the good tidings are a great host.” Interestingly, some translations have changed the original Hebrew word for women to a genderless form (like the word “company”), so great is the fear of the enemy that women might actually be loosed to fulfill their divine destiny and calling in God’s Kingdom!

I believe that the particular verse of scripture you may have in mind is 1 Timothy 2:12 which forbids a woman to teach or or assume authority over a man. These are customs of those particular times. One must be careful not to make eastern customs, doctrines. Another such custom is covering a woman's head. This is really a cultural practice. God calls women to big time Ministry-work just like men. Know that in Judges 4:4, Deborah was a prophetess whom God used to prophesy to Barack to take 10, 000 men and go to war. He was afraid and asked the Prophetess to accompany. In the end he had the victory. In Exodus 15: 20 -21 Moses' sister is regarded as a prophetess associated with music. In Joel 2: 28 and Acts 2: 17 God said "in the last days, He shall pour out His Spirit on all flesh ...and your sons and daughters shall prophesy." In the recent past, you have had women doing just that. They are Aimee Semple McPherson whom God used to work many miracles. Another was Katherine Kuhlman who had a great miracle ministry internationally. Today we have world-renowned Minister, Bible teacher and Televangelist Marilyn Hickey. She is one of my all time favourites. I often received revelation knowledge listening to her on Satellite TV years ago. Signs, wonders and miracles often follow her as she ministers to large crowds in Pakistan. Seven times, God uses women to operate in this manner in the Old Testament. If God calls a woman to do go his work she has to obey. She has absolutely no choice in the matter and many times they can be very powerful. 22, 542

@johno25043 ай бұрын
Dr.Brown is the senior pastoral position biblical? I think you would find the answer would be no. I think what you would find the the scriptural safeguard for church leadership is unity in Christ, so there are a group of elders that must meet certain qualifications, many of which have to do with being dead to self and yielded to Christ, so the the true head of the church Jesus could rule. Though many churches would rather have a head human over the church which is what almost always happens. In the old testament Jesus was upset when Israel wanted a king, saying I would have ruled over you, and now when we have such great provision through Jesus Christ for God to rule over us like never before people ask for a ruler. What is the scriptural safeguard for prophecy other than scripture? Other prophets, what's that safeguard unity in Christ. When we are abandoned to self and pursuing Christ and the will of God we should be coming into unity otherwise we are connecting to something different, and the something different can be our own selves.

That may seem to work for some people when twisting 1 Timothy 2 but in 1 Corinthians 14:34-37 Paul makes it clear, they must remain silent in the church PERIOD and that is a commandment of God. -- "Let your women keep silent in the churches, for they are not permitted to speak; but they are to be submissive, as the law also says. And if they want to learn something, let them ask their own husbands at home; for it is shameful for women to speak in church. Or did the word of God come originally from you? Or was it you only that it reached? If anyone thinks himself to be a prophet or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things which I write to you are the commandments of the Lord."

Was the word of God written for the righteous Did not Jesus free all of us from every law of death that was against us. Are we not all ministering spirits. Can a woman tell me how to be saved or just a man. Women are usually our first teachers. There are women Sunday School teachers all over the world. If a woman does good work in Christ by well doing would she not be blessed in or out of season if she fainted not. Did not the Lord say exalt not thyself against another, why do our Pastor do that. Or certain men in general. Did not the Lord justify the woman caught in Aldultry. Can women testify and tell about the goodness of the Lord. Just curious I am, but I can see that there has been a big misunderstanding on this subject in many of ways...

@@wiznup well what would you call i tim 2:12?
@wiznup5 жыл бұрын
Joe Szulborski I would call it a grossly misinterpreted scripture that men use to subdue the giftings and the callings of God on HIS daughters. Paul wrote this letter to Timothy who was pastoring a church in Ephesus. Ephesus was known for its devotion to the goddess Artemis. She was the goddess of fertility and was believed to be the giver and taker of life and in that culture, women would call upon her for help when giving birth. This cult was entirely run by females and men were subservient. Ephesus was also steeped in Gnostic beliefs and in the beginning of Paul’s letter to Timothy he addresses false teachers because of all the demonic influences on the culture. The gnostics believed that Eve was the first human to be created. They taught that Eve gave life to Adam. Eve was a heroine in that culture because she desired knowledge, or “gnosis.” When Paul says he does not permit a woman to teach in this letter it is much more plausible that he is addressing Timothy’s problem in dealing with women who were false teachers influenced by the Artemus cult in which female supremacy was the norm. Furthermore, the word Paul used for “authority” in this passage is “authentein” and it is used nowhere else in the bible. This word is talking about “abusive power” and “acting on your own authority.” These women were more than likely extremely disrespectful to their husbands and they were teaching false doctrine in an abusive way so Paul instructs Timothy that they should be silent. He then instructs them to LEARN in silence. In other words, don’t teach when you don’t know what you are talking about, listen, learn, absorb and grow! In other passages of the New Testament we see Paul commending women in leadership and in teaching. Is Paul schizophrenic or do our brothers in the church need so desperately to silence women and oppress their giftings from the Holy Spirit that they refuse to consider the ENTIRE counsel of God?

Women only need to be still but support her pastor and the church, like working in the church together with the pastor and other member, moral and spiritual support, praying and assisting..encouraging members etc. God still sees the heart.. if you have a calling to preach..or called by the holy spirit so it be, if u feel that inner joy convicting you..

Whether it is pastoring, preaching or any other form of authority over men in the Church, any woman who pursues such an authority (and any men or woman that supports such a desire) is in active rebellion against God, displaying disobedience, proving that they are not under the influence of the Holy Spirit, but of their father, the devil. No verse used in support of women having authority over men in church can not align any verses presented in favour of women oreaching/pastoring with Genesis 3:16-17, 1 Timothy 2:11-15, 1 Corinthians 14:34-35, 1 Corinthians 4:17, 1 Timothy 3:2, etc., and no one has authority to override the word inspired by God. Whoever produces theology that is not sustainable with the Scriptures in every verse, needs to change that theology for he is on the wrong path. We all must humble ourselves. Repent and fear God. Choose the narrow path not the wide. Or face His wrath. There are no other choices.

This aspect of women not being able to preaching would only be a result of the fallen world. And since Jesus come back to restore things are the way they used to be should this would not be an issue? Just asking. This does not mean that I am in agreement with women preaching. But I am of a Nazarene denomination and of course they do believe that women should preach and I’ve taken some classes and have gotten closer to the middle of the fence but I’m still on the side of I don’t think it is something to consider God ordained. Hi Dr. Brown, love your work, I've only recently started following you. I'd love to hear you engage or debate this issue more thoroughly, maybe specifically with points made by top egalitarian scholars like NT Wright. I was rather undecided on the issue until I attended a mostly egalitarian seminary in Chicago (North Park) and after hearing scholars there like Klyne Snodgrass work through the issue in detail, I found it fairly convincing. I currently on with a Vineyard church and there are a number of female lead or preaching pastors that (to me and many others) are clearly gifted and affirmed for their roles. What we do with the patriarchal culture in the ancient world and whether or not that is something God ultimately intends to preserve or break through is one of many key questions. So if you've had any debates or extended dialogues on this issue, I'm sure we'd love to view or read it.

Just a contribution. Saul was not a priest nor a sacrificer. But he performed it and was rejected by God because he did not obey. People can perform various roles in an outstanding way but are not called to do so by God. The bible clearly announces that women should not preach, however there is no single verse telling they can. All those who defend women preachers do so by wrongly quoting women that were in different position (Deborah for e.g). Some talk about context, which is falls.

Hey doctor brown I am a big follower of your radio show, debates, KZbin videos, and am in the process of acquiring a few of your books as well (once my studies give me the time to read on my own accord lol). I also have a few David H. Stern's works (his entire biblical translation, NT commentary, and Messianic Jewish Manifesto) and it is from these works my question originates. Essentially, stern (from my understanding) claims the passage in 1st Timothy is misunderstood, incorrectly rendered and actually points to, firstly, a spiritual responsibility that women are not to have over men, then secondly them being allowed to study in peace (not having to go about doing all the chores and such for the men - from my understanding). If you ever are allowed by your busy schedule to get around to reading his random comment on one of your hundreds of KZbin videos, I would appreciate your take on Stern's commentary (a scholar I have heard you advocate for).

When Jesus would speak to the people he only spoke in parables and no one understood him, not even his own disciples, but after everyone left his disciples would ask him and the truth would be revealed to them. Jesus Told them: Mark 4:11-12 (KJV) And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables: That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them. He said "all these things are done in parables". When he said this he was referring to everything. Everything and not only the parables he spoke but everything in scripture.. When Paul wrote that "a woman should learn in silence" he was explaining something deeper (a parable) that is often not recognized because again no one understands, not even us the disciples of Jesus (But when we ask Christ he reveals the truth to us). Paul gives us a hint near the end of the section where we can find the meaning behind these verses. 1 Timothy 2:13-14 (KJV) For Adam was first formed, then Eve. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression. This tells us that the mystery behind these scriptures can be found back in the story of Adam and Eve. What I am about to share I pray it blesses you. But do not take my word for it. Pray on it and ask God. When we ask him he reveals the truth to us (Mat 7:7). When God created Adam and Eve the scripture says he "called their name Adam". Genesis 5:2 (KJV) Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created. The Scriptures also say that "they were one flesh". Genesis 2:23-24 (KJV) And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. Adam and Eve are symbolic of being the same person. "They were one flesh". again Scripture says and he "called their name Adam". The meaning behind all this is this. We are all Adam and Eve. Every single one of us (individually) are Adam and Eve. Here is an example of what I mean: When we were kids we used to watch cartoons and sometimes in cartoons they would show a little Angel and a little devil that would sit on the shoulders of the cartoon character. The little Angel would be saying "do the right thing" while the little devil would be saying "do what you want". The little angel and the little devil are symbolic of Adam and Eve. The voices within us, are mindsets. Adam is symbolic of understanding the Truth while Eve is symbolic of not understanding. Eve is symbolic of the fallen state,our carnal nature. When God gave the commandment to Adam that he may eat of any tree except of the tree of the knowledge of Good and Evil, Eve had not yet been created. After he gave him the commandment God said "It is not good for man to be alone". Genesis 2:16-18 (KJV) And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. When the serpent approached Eve, he approached her because she didn't fully understand. Genesis 3:1-3 (KJV) Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. She told the serpent that God hath said "Ye shall not eat of it neither shall ye touch it". God never said neither shall ye touch it. Which shows us that she didn't understand. The story of Adam and Eve is the story of every single one of us (individually). Everyday the serpent approached us and tries to convince us to do what we want. We either know the truth (and do what is right) and listen to the voice of Adam within us, or we do not fully understand and follow our carnal desires (the voice of Eve). Everyone in the eyes of God are equal. No one is greater than anyone. Men are not greater than women nor are women greater than men. In fact we are all made in God's image. Genesis 1:27 (KJV) So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. 1 Timothy 2:11-12 (KJV) Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. Now when Paul wrote let a women learn in silence he hinted about Adam and Eve. Which tells us that "Man" is symbolic of Adam who understood the truth and "Woman" are symbolic of Eve who didn't fully understand. So "Man" are males or females who know the truth, and "women" are male or females who do not understand. When Paul wrote let the women learn in silence what he was saying was : let anyone who doesn't understand (male or female) learn in silence. And that a person who doesn't understand should not teach nor usurp authority over someone who does understand (male or female). 1 Corinthians 11:6-7 (KJV) For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered. For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man. When scripture says that a woman should cover her head it means a person who does not understand (male or female) should cover their head with the word of God, with the Truth. When the scripture says that a man should not cover his head it means a person in truth (male or female) should not cover their heads with the lies of the world. Genesis 3:20 (KJV) And Adam called his wife's name Eve; because she was the mother of all living. Why is Eve called the mother of all living? Because again Eve is symbolic of our fallen state. Jesus once said "let the dead take care of the dead and let the living take care of the living". To be dead means to not be awoken to the truth, It means to be in darkness. When were in the world we were all dead. We were all Eve, in our fallen state. But when we gave our lives to Christ, we were brought back from the dead. We went from being dead (Eve) to being alive. We are alive in Christ. So Eve is the mother of all living because we were all once Eve. Elizabeth said to Mary the mother of Jesus: "Blessed are thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb". When Elizabeth told her this she was actually referring to all of us. I will explain again women are symbolic of not understanding the truth. We were all once women (males and females who didn't understand the truth). Mary the mother of Jesus is symbolic of all of us. Mary gave birth to Christ a virgin birth. According to the Thayer Greek Lexicon a virgin is defined as "a marriageable maiden" in other words someone worthy of being married to the bridegroom. When we think of the word virgin we think of someone who has never had sex or in other words undefiled. But when scripture refers to us as the bride of Christ we are being called virgins (mariagable maidens) which are undefiled. But wait? How are we undefiled? In Jeremiah 31:34 the scriptures say: "I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more". Which tells us we are cleansed of our sins and are made undefiled, virgins. When we give our life to God he changes us he gives us a new heart and a new spirit and we give birth to Christ within us (we receive the Holy Spirit). So when Elizabeth said "blessed are thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb". She was talking to everyone who has received the Holy Spirit to everyone who has given birth to Christ within. God is all loving and we are all equal in the eyes of God. God bless

No more than it would be for the VP of a corporation. We have let the world shape our theology there. Husband of one wife is very clear. That's the qualification for an over seer. If a woman is the head of the church, how does she submit to a husband at home. What if he tells her not to do something, you see it doesn't make sense for it to not be consistent in practice. Again its no insult its the order that God chose. So again thank you for the courage to touch on what so few will.

How is it possible that the spirit is able to move within this enviroment where he is stiffled. Sometimes I imagine Paul so upset in heaven when he sees how Bible teachers has misinterpreted his letters. Wasn't he Jewish and pharisee and a son of pharisee ( Acts 23:6) ? He was so fanatic tills he was hunting the Christians to kill and prison them. Could that and maybe other things affected his judgment about women? Or maybe he was just talking about women in those days when they some of them were priests to pagan religion, who were into preaching and sin. Maybe he didn't want them to talk in the church after they became Christians? I am sure he ment good and I even saw him in one of my prophetic dreams once. When I see a woman pastor in a church, to be honest with you, I don't feel okay in my spirit and I asked God why. Maybe because I grew up between Rome orthodox and Rome Catholic churches until I born again in my 39 of age. We used to see only male priests, even they see women from up.. The questions are: 1: Does Abba Father prefers men over women? 2: Why God created Adam before Eve? 3: Does God see His Glory only on men but not on women? 4: What was the Lord Jesus's attitude and words about / toward women? 5: Why Eve was tempted first and why Paul mentioned that and used it as a trigger point in his argument? 6: What about women in Bible and outside of it who are teachers or prophets; should they stop doing that? 7: Who would be the head of a house when the wife is wiser and deeper in God's Word? 8: If a wife rule in the marriage is not lowering to her soul then why is to the husband? 9: Why do you think women were treated badly the beginning of the times by societies ? 10: Is the spirit of a man different from the spirit of a woman? 11: The Bible said that we would be kings and priests to our Lord for a 1000 years when He will come again; are only men who will be ?

No. Are we even commanded to preach or teach behind an altar? No. Are the men commanded to teach behind an altar? No. What is so special about the altar that a woman cannot stand behind it. It is just a piece of wood. This is the kind of nonsense that comes out of a total ignorance of the scriptures. It turns people completely off to God.

God never ordained a woman biblically to preach. There is no evidence of this in the Bible; if anything he told us a few things 1.that god is the head of Jesus, jesus the head of man, man the head of woman, woman head of the household/children 2.he told us what titles women can hold, the Bible says entreat the young women as sisters and the older women as mothers, not bishops pastors evangelist etc. 3. He told us that any preacher of his has to be instant in season and out of season. If God told the woman to guide her house bare children and cleave to her husband what time is allotted left for her to preach in season and out of season. Is she gonna preach pregnant? God is not the author of confusion. Study people

Vincent Richardson what do you mean in season and out if season. I'm confused?
@tiathompson66747 жыл бұрын
Vincent Richardson.......you have some very antiquated views about women and some misunderstandings about the call and anointing of God. There are many platforms for preaching, and not all of them involve leaving the home on far away missionary journeys....BUT even if they did, it does not dampening a woman's ability to do so, even if she is pregnant. Pregnancy isn't a disease you know..... A woman is quite capable of flowing in the anointing and delivering a word from God while she is with child.

You seem to equate women with some type of breeding maggot, like that's all she's good for. Not sure how any man with the Holy Spirit in dwelling in him can take such an arrogant and degrading stance.

I hate to ruin your logic on this subject, but if you are going to argue that point consider Paul's words. "I suffer a woman not to teach. " which clearly states his opinion that we now use that as if its the Commandments of God

so women can teach but only teach women not to teach a man or when a male pastor is there?

Bottom line .. god can use men and women for any spiritual gift .. any ministry service .. but the senior pastor is male You can check Dr Brown short video in the same channel about women teaching

Right on!!!! Im happy Dr Brown seeks to stand with the Word of God!!! I think men should be valuing and recognizing TRIBLE what God has called women to be and to do! Even husbands should appriciate the secret services of their wives that no-one in the world sees they are doing and reward their wives abundantly!!!!!!!!! Then there would be no schism in the family and in body of Christ. 20 But now, indeed, many are the members, but one body. 21 And the eye is not able to say to the hand, I have no need of you; or again the head to the feet, I have no need of you. 22 But much rather the members of the body seeming to be weaker are necessary. 23 And those of the body we think to be less honorable, to these we put more abundant honor around them . And our unpresentable members have more abundant propriety. 24 But our presentable members have no need. But God tempered the body together, giving more abundant honor to the member having need, 25 that there not be division in the body, but that the members might have the same care for one another. (1Cor12) Could it be that women would not even want to be the "head" leader of their family or leading pastors over men if they saw the richness of what God has made them (as women) and rewards of God for them fulfilling their own purposes in His Kingdom!!! Who would want to loose such treasures??? In ideal family they would be so blessed by the provision of God-given (Christ-like) manly leadership that has released them even greater way to live and grow in their Christ-exalting womanhood! wooow... I believe women are so free in the Holy Spirit and so full of rest in their souls when they find this yoke of Jesus Christ! People want the positions where they think they would be "loved". What a delusion! Some want to be pastors for this kind of orphan motives. How different it looks in the kingdom of God. We dont need to harshly battle our way through with elbows to be the first in the line to receive some recognition. Father pours the full power of His love and affirmation to each one who comes to Him in His Son Jesus Christ! He speaks to each of His child His words which fulfill their hearts! He elevates the weak... the one who goes low. He lowers the one who is full of himself and elevates himself. God's kingdom is the Kingdom of the humility of Jesus Christ! its the way of the cross! In our age we do it opposite... we worship CEO's, christian leaders and presidents and they receive all the applause. No wonder every one wants to have those positions and no woman wants to be excluded from opportunity to being praised that way. No wonder so many people think that equals greatness. BUT JESUS SAID THEY HAVE HAD THEIR REWARD!!!! OHHHH what a difference it would make if we would go after the applause of God instead!!!! If we would use our little homes and secret places to exalt Him... even with our family members speaking like Jesus would to them and treating them like Jesus would...!!! Who is greatest in the Kingdom? MATTHEW 18:4 He is the one who took little child and told that whoever humbles himself to be like this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. OH MAN!!! Why does not everyone hunt this kind of positions. Humility! Blessed are the meek for they shall inherit the earth! matt 5 ps 37 If we would seek His Kingdom in the beauty of meekness and humility of Jesus. What a rest there would be to our souls instead of striving of this world!!!! matt 11:28-30

Men would always try and underplay women. God calls people to fulfil specific functions. God will decide who He wants as pastors, male or female.

He does He never goes against what is set forth in the Bible. That would make Him a whimsical God. He is not He is the Great I AM He changes not. We obey Him or not it is that simple.

The term "senior pastor" is not in the bible.
@ThunderKat20128 жыл бұрын
Doesn't matter....Paul & Peter were over everyone. They would have positions that were equal to being senior pastors...as well as the rest of the disciples
@pinkisforpimps8 жыл бұрын
My point was that it's a bit inconsistent to say we need to follow only whats in the bible, meanwhile we throw around the term "senior pastor" as if that is in the bible.

Under the curse, yes but we, Jesus followers are no longer under the curse. I feel sorry for men who think it is black & white. If you read this & think I meant only men & not human... You misunderstood me just like everyday when people misunderstand God.

I agree the only thing that women are forbidden from is spiritual leadership and authority over men WITHIN the Church, but women can pastor and teach other women and children, but there are times when God would raise women as authority over men such as the prophetess Deborah but as an exception not rule, so God can and has used women in wondrous ways, and women still play pivotal roles in the Body of Christ.

And yet in Christ, there are neither male nor female some would argue. I know there are female pastors in several denominations. Who can say God didn't call them to that?
@ThunderKat20128 жыл бұрын
I would say...judge them then by how they teach the bible...but we don't have any examples of women teaching other then Jezebel and we know how that turned out.
@tiathompson66747 жыл бұрын
Bruce Banner, The minute a man brings of Jezebel in the context of women preaching, he has immediately identified his ignorance for everyone to see. 1. Bruce, was Jezebel a daughter of Israel and God or was she a Pagan Phoenician princess? 2. Bruce Banner, did Jezebel ever serve God or did she practice idolatry? 3. Bruce Banner did Jezebel who never served God teach people to follow God or was she trying to lead the people away into idol worship? So then Bruce Banner, comparing God's daughters his called ministers who are anointed by the Holy host, to a pagan phonecian princess is an inaccurate analogy. Let us get a Rhema revelation from the word of God and an accurate understanding of what it is saying.

Yes. And I also think that the church today do not fully understand the role of pastors, prophets, teachers etc. They are gifts of the Spirit, not appointments. The only appointments are elders and deacons. And during a meeting, pastors are not in control.

Women seeking to be pastors and Lead men is the same thing as LGBT people seeking to justify their Rebellion to God. Such Behavior forces other people to choose between God's word or their behavior. sadly many choose to go with the rebellious person's Behavior over God's word.
