Meet Frank Jones the designer of the Twin Troller. He asks the question. Are you a Twin Troller fisherman? We all know the dangers of using the wrong bait. Have you asked are you losing fish, fishing with the wrong boat? Check it out: bit.ly/3mYS4kj

Love the TT and hopefully I will be in a position to get one soon. Living in Louisiana now but will be moving to Texas within the year. Love what I've seen in this boat and how safe it is. Always looking forward to more videos by your buyers. Thanks and Merry Christmas!!

I'd buy one if it was 12-14' long. I have a 10 footer that works fine. I want a Twin Troller, but I really want a 14' option with two brushless 55 lb thrust motors, front and rear transoms, spot lock setup, etc. There is a market that y'all would kill in, but with a 10' boat you can't really hit that market ideally.

This would’ve a great choice for me I think. Will it handle a 4hp Mariner? I already have that motor and it’s a very low time motor…just got a few years on it. I believe it was made by Yamaha back then.

I was not "yelling"........At the time of posting my comment, the keyboard of my old laptop was malfunctioning in several ways, and I could only use my capslock to type. As you can see now, I have since bought a new laptop........no more capslock messages & comments. Besides, what is it with folks like you who feel the need to harass others, simply over using capslock. If it bothers you that much........seek help. Feeling the need to control what other people do, or somehow "make yourself feel better" by pestering others over such trivial things.......really exposes your own insecurity, and the need to bring attention on yourself for no reason whatsoever. It's childish behavior.

Hey Bill.........the "base model" Twin Troller costs $2,995.00. It comes with everything ya need to get on the water, the twin MotorGuide trolling motors which are factory installed up inside each pontoon, the twin pedals to operate them, and both seats. All ya need to add is a 29 series 12 volt deep cycle battery. It is the same exact boat as the "deluxe model", only the deluxe model comes equipped with 2 rod holders, 4 cleats, fish finder, and onboard battery charger. The deluxe model costs $600 more. ( You can save about 300 bucks by simply buying the base model, then buy the above components & mount them yourself. ) They also have to charge a shipping fee, depending on what part of the country you live in. NO DEALERS, because there would be a dealer mark-up, resulting in a higher price. Don't be put off by the price of this boat, because it is worth every penny.........trust me. It's got all true stainless steel fasteners/screws, and aircraft grade aluminum. The electric motors are saltwater grade, which is also a big plus. I can already tell the hull will last a lifetime, and owners who bought a Twin Troller 10 years ago, are still using the same original MotorGuide trolling motors. They last, because they are totally protected against banging into rocks or stumps, etc. That kills trolling motors. Remember, ya only "pay for it once"........and this boat begins paying for itself every time out on the water, because they cost next to nothing to operate & maintain. Charge the battery to last an entire day of fishing........and simply hose the boat off........that's it.......seriously. I'm tickled to death with mine. ........PS, I also saved $$ by buying an 8-foot bed trailer from Harbor Freight, and building the bunks to fit the boat out of 3 pressure treated 2 x 4's eight feet long. It was simple to do, and works great. But the Harbor Freight trailer can't be used in salt water. It took me 6 months to save up the money to buy this boat, the trailer, AND a 3.5hp Tohatsu 4 stroke outboard. The outboard motor is not necessary, unless ya want to fish bigger lakes to get somewhere a little quicker. Visit their website, called FREEDOM ELECTRIC MARINE. These boats are 100% manufactured in the state of Indiana, and the company is located in North Carolina. GREAT PEOPLE.

Frank, I just published my own video of how I installed the reverse pitch prop I received for my Twin Troller in the mail two days ago. While on KZbin I noticed this video. You hit all the great reasons for why I bought my Twin Troller. I often fish for up to eight hours in my Twin Troller and often do so in much larger bodies of water in Central Florida than the lake you are in today. While I am careful to pick my days on big lakes and do not go out in winds approaching or exceeding 15 mph I can do that here in Florida by fishing the marshy areas that border most lakes here because the marshes help calm the waters. One advantage of the Twin Troller over other boats is that this boat can easily navigate such areas because the boat goes over the debris and not through it. I have had many fishing boats from small to large, including "Fishing Kayaks", but I would buy the Twin Troller again if I were looking for a boat because it truly is my best fishing boat. Frank, thanks for making your idea of a great small fishing boat into the reality of the Twin Troller. Your dream is ours also. Gerry

For those who can't afford a TT, a second hand Micro Poke Boat might be an option. I have added two rod holders to the gunwale and we are never out of trout. Weighs 17 pounds (some are even lighter) and can be backpacked into the wilderness with a tent and sleeping bag in it.
@TwinTroller
@TwinTroller 6 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't consider a micro poke as an option to a Twin Troller. It's an option for someone trying to get in any floating device to get out in the water. Saying it's an option to the Twin Troller is really a stretch. It's like saying a Yugo is an option to a Ferrari. I'm not beating up the micro poke, but it is a very different fishing platform.

@howabouthetruth2157
@howabouthetruth2157 7 жыл бұрын
As a Twin Troller owner myself for going on 6 months, I can tell you that the entire hull underneath the Twin Troller, including around the protected & recessed trolling motors is extremely easy to reach. The grates that protect the trolling motors have bars that are widely spaced apart, making cleaning or reaching anything a breeze. The bunks on the trailer for the Twin Troller are in between both pontoons, so that is a non-issue, the entire bottom of the hull is easy to access & reach from all sides.

@LunkerFishing
@LunkerFishing 7 жыл бұрын
Rich, There is not much to look out for. Naturally look for holes but they are unlikely if you understand the construction of the boat. (do a search on KZbin and you can see them being manufactured and assembled) The only moving parts are the motors, the pedals, and the seat swivels. If they all work well you are doing great. My boat color is tan. I like that color the best but there are other colors so if yours is a color you like it is time to buy yourself a new boat! When you get it feel free to post on the many Twin Troller video here how you like it and you can also try to post a video of your boat and fishing experiences. Catch a big one for us. Gerry

Answer this,if you have an electrical failure and trollin motors dont work how difficult is it to paddle
@TwinTroller
@TwinTroller 6 жыл бұрын
First of all, I've never had it happen. Second, not difficult. If one motor fails because it wore out, or something like that, it's easy to paddle one side and use the motor on the other, or simply us the paddle to steer. Any motor failure is something that is not going to happen often. More like rare.

ATTENTION ALL VIEWERS & ESPECIALLY THOSE WHO MAY BE INTERESTED IN BUYING THIS BOAT: My name is Steve, I'm 56 yrs old, and been living & fishing ( mainly for trophy bass ) here in central Florida since 1969 when I was a young boy. I discovered this boat like most of you, here on these videos. At first, I thought it may be "a gimmick", but after much research I realized that is entirely untrue. I bought my Twin Troller from Dave, who you see in most of the other videos, in person. He also lives in central Florida & my timing was perfect, because he happened to have the model I wanted in his possession. So we met "half way" between our homes and I purchased the boat in person. It was a pleasant experience meeting & talking to Dave. That was 16 months ago, and for the money, I am happier with this purchase than any other boat I've ever owned & fished. I've owned several various boats over the years, including 2 different bass boats. One I bought brand new in 2004. Dollar for dollar, I believe I got a better value out of my Twin Troller than any other boat. I catch more fish too. But I want to APOLOGIZE to all viewers & especially folks who may be interested in buying this boat, due to several TROLLS who come on this channel & begin lying & harassing anyone who tries to reason with them at first, but then just goes down hill from there, because these TROLLS are only here to cause trouble to begin with. THE WORST TROLL YET IS KZbin CHANNEL NAME: "Sask Yak Fishing" who began trolling under this very video. Long story short, among some of his comments, he posted one that was so utterly ridiculous & lengthy, that he obviously thought it was so bad & terrible, so he removed his own comment. ( I have yet to see this company remove any negative comments by anyone trolling this channel, who simply "have it in" for this boat. ) But not before youtube notifications sent it to my email. I received his entire comment, and it was really pathetic. So I responded to him in the same thread of comments below, calling him out, and offered him several challenges that would prove him wrong on all counts. He then accuses ME of being "affiliated with this company" and all kinds of other childish crazy accusations, as he repeatedly refuses to even mention a single word about any of the challenges I offered him that have to do with this boat, and "who" I really am. But of course it was a big waste of time. I hate dealing with liars & trolls who try accusing me of things they dream up in their own heads. I just won't stand for it. So once again, my sincere apologies for everyone who comes here, and then has to read the debates that quickly turn into arguments, or even worse, deal with these damned trolls. It's a real shame. This is a great boat, a great company, and HONEST, FRIENDLY, & HELPFUL PEOPLE. I highly recommend this boat. Funny how no Twin Troller owners OR this company goes out "trolling" other youtube channels featuring kayaks or other small vessels........no.....they come here instead.

How's it do in big fast rivers ?
@TwinTroller
@TwinTroller 6 жыл бұрын
That would depend on your definition of big, and fast. The TT is not a whitewater boat. I have personally used it in rivers with a 5 mph current. I have to use my Honda to get up river, though. The trolling motors would not be enough in that fast of a current. Hope that answers your question.

Nice boat, however its very cost prohibitive (for entry level boaters). Frankly, you can buy a similar boat from bass pro for $600 and hook up two in hull propellers for a fraction of the price. By that , I mean like a quarter of the price! For this reason, this boat is a rip off lol
@TwinTroller
@TwinTroller 6 жыл бұрын
Do you really think you can just "hook up" two in-hull propellers? Not going to happen. Save your pennies. The Twin Troller will be worth every one. The Twin Troller is far from a rip off. It's the world's best fishing boat for a reason.

As you know, there are many people out there who make DIY videos, however I am not one of them. What I described is without a doubt a possibility. I know theres a bunch of older gentlemen who are enthusiasts when it comes to this boat, but nothing about this boat is special. As far as where you get an in hull propeller, there are substitutes such as engine mount trolling motors. This are very common and can be fixated to any outboard motor. It wouldnt be hard to attach one to each side of a jon boat. (LOL)
@tedondrish9204
@tedondrish9204 5 жыл бұрын
What you said was just "install in-hull propellers", which can't be done which is why I commented....I'll give you mounting two trolling motors to a small boat, people do that all the time......but "in-hull" like this boat...not happening, at least not without destroying the boat (lol). I don't own this boat, but it is unlike any other small boat believe me I've checked for a long time, so it is definitively special in that regard.

There's two holes in the bottom (recessed motors). The TT doesn't get on a plane. What makes a boat fast, makes it a horrible fishing boat. The Twin Troller is not a speed boat. It's a fishing boat.

I put a 3.5hp Tohatsu 4 stroke on my Twin Troller........it runs, fishes, and even trailers just fine. I never take my outboard off. They only rate it for 2 to 2.5 hp because that's all ya really need......due to the hull design. A 5hp for example, would be a total waste of money & power, because the hull design won't get "on plane". But that very same design is what makes the boat fish & maneuver so great through and over stuff no other boat can go through. I've owned several boats, including 2 different bass boats ( as other owners have too )......and I love this little boat. I actually catch more & bigger bass with it.

A very nice boat, no doubt about it. There is a very popular fishing personality here on KZbin who commands a large audience fishing out of an inexpensive 10 footer mini bass boat: KZbinFISHINGVIDS. Look a little closer. You do not have a zero turn radius - in hull propulsion boat. You may not understand the difference, but it's huge. Imaging fishing where wind is not an issue and 100% hands free control of your boat. Go forwards, backwards, or spin in a circle. No other boat at any price can do this. Think Different, Fish Different.

OK, I'm gonna step in to this, because I AM an actual Twin Troller owner. Bought mine 15 months ago. I CHALLENGE YOU to show us where "all those reviews are about electrical problems with the Twin Troller". COME ON, I WANNA SEE YOU BACK YOUR CLAIM. YOU CAN'T, BECAUSE NO SUCH REVIEWS EXIST. "Electrical problems"......that's downright RIDICULOUS. With the Twin Troller, all ya have is the battery, the SIMPLE yet HIGH-GRADE wiring to each SALT WATER-GRADE MotorGuide trolling motor head that is WATER TIGHT, and then only 2 more cables that each plugs into each peddle. IT DOESN'T GET ANY SIMPLER THAN THAT........YOU GOOFBALL. There is NO "wiring harness". To have "electrical problems" with the TT would be like having "technical difficulties" when tying your damned shoes kid. Furthermore, the plugs that are used to plug into each peddle are the very best design I've ever seen in ANY type of plug. Even the twin peddles themselves are high-grade & built better than any normal trolling motor peddles. Months before I bought my Twin Troller, I TRIED to find "bad reviews" or "problems & issues"........I googled & searched in every way I could think of........AND I COULDN'T FIND A SINGLE COMPLAINT. And I wanna see you "stand sideways on 1 foot" in your kayak, ESPECIALLY in choppy water........PLEASE.......I'LL BRING A CAMERA. I'm 56 yrs old, and I've owned several various boats over the years, including 2 different bass boats. That's not counting the canoes & kayak years ago. My Twin Troller is the best investment I ever made in fishing. I can show you 2 actual Twin Troller owners right now, who each bought a brand new Hobie Pro Angler. Months later, they discovered the Twin Troller. THEY BOTH SOLD THOSE KAYAKS. But unlike you, I DON'T LIE, so I'm prepared to show you THEIR VIDEOS........NOW, LET'S SEE YOU SHOW US "BAD REVIEWS" & "ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS" WITH THE TWIN TROLLER. COME ON KID, I'M WAITING. I GET AN INSTANT NOTIFICATION FOR ANY RESPONSE TO MY COMMENTS. I hate a LIAR. I don't make videos, but I can shoot anyone tons of images of my Twin Troller and all the giant bass I catch here on the Stick Marsh/Farm 13 in central Florida. Bring your damn kayak on a windy day here on the Stick Marsh & follow me 6 miles to the other end & lets see you "stand & fish" in that choppy water. The guys who fish kayaks here won't even go to the far end. You can't even spin your seat 360 degrees either OR do the same with your kayak. I nick-named my Twin Troller THE KAYAK KILLER because of liars like you. So you either PUT UP.........or SHUT UP. You can't even find "a used Twin Troller for sale"........because NOBODY wants to get rid of theirs. I can haul MORE tackle, MORE rods, even MORE people than you too. I can fish 10 hours or more in total comfort, standing OR sitting........You'll be sore after only 4 to 6 hours at the most. You own A CHEAP KAYAK because the hi-end kayaks like Hobie's & Native Slayers actually cost MORE than the Twin Troller today.

A Pond Prowler is not a Twin Troller. The Twin Troller has in-hull propulsion. It's a big deal. 100% hands free fishing in 6-8 inches of water. The Pond Prowler does not. In 15 mph winds you are going home, using an anchor, or have your hands on a trolling motor. With a Twin Troller, you're fishing. The Twin Troller is worth every penny for those that want these features.

You seem to be making the rounds OutdoorsUnlimited 101. You've made this comment on other videos, but we are yet to hear from you what platform is better for less. Let's hear it. We'll make it easy for you, forget the less part. Show us a better platform at any price.

I'd like to see you "prove that" myself.........because not only have I owned my Twin Troller for over 5 months now, at 55 years old, I've owned 2 different full size bass boats, canoes, and john boats over the years. I've also fished out of a couple of those "cheap" small plastic boats that only look vaguely similar to a Twin Troller. NO COMPARISON. There is not a single "cheap gimmick" on my Twin Troller. Everything is top-quality, right down to the stainless screws & fasteners, to the high grade aluminum that make the twin peddles and the protective grates for the SALT-WATER GRADE MOTORGUIDE motors. I also have a 3.5hp Tohatsu 4 stroke on the back, and I fish the big lakes too. I actually put 8 baitcaster/rod combo's in my Twin Troller, 4 in each tray, with no issues at all. The side trays can accommodate 8' rods, and they are so deep & well thought-out, there is no need for rod tie-downs ( unless ya leave your rods in the boat while driving down the highway ). The hull is incredibly strong & durable, you can actually smack it with a ball bat. It is also practically maintenance free......just hose any dirt off. I fish in waters full of submerged stumps. I've bumped into several submerged stumps while under the power of my little outboard motor, and my hull doesn't even have a scratch. Only concrete or rocks can scar this hull. I go through rooted weeds, grass & lilies with ease. The Twin Troller is worth every dollar, because it starts paying for itself with every time out on the water. ( A new Hobie Pro Angler actually costs more, and I can fish circles around ANY kayak, even with 2 people in my boat. ) It costs PENNIES to operate, and 1 gallon of gas OR LESS on larger lakes. I am tickled to death with my Twin Troller, and I've made no modifications, although anyone could quite easily. Even the peddles and the plug-ins for the peddles are extremely well-made. My trophy bass fishing ( Florida ) has actually IMPROVED with this boat. Last but not least, the Twin Troller has a true BOW up front with a wide gunwale ( flared lip around the bow ) that keeps average waves & chop splashing out and down, providing a dry ride. Try to top all that at ANY price.......YOU CAN'T. I can sum up the Twin Troller in 2 words: BUY ONE. ( Freedom Electric Marine & a couple other TT-X10 owners can verify my purchase. )

Howabouthetruth first issue. Motorguide motors. Second issue Price Third issue Versatility Fourth Stability I talked to some guy who had one and asked him how he liked it. He said that it was the most unstable thing he'd ever been in. I can get a used walleye boat or bass boat for less. The twin troller wouldn't last 5 minutes where I fish

OutdoorsUnlimited 101.........YOU ARE A BALD-FACED LIAR......AND A TROLL. You NEVER spoke to ANY Twin Troller owner who said "It's the most unstable boat he ever fished". THAT IS BULLCRAP, AND YOU KNOW IT. .......YOU CAN'T CAPSIZE THE TWIN TROLLER IF YOU TRIED. I KNOW BECAUSE I OWN ONE. MotorGuide trolling motors are THE BEST on the market, you moron. Face it, you're just a miserable, lying troll, who refuses to believe his own eyes. Every video clearly shows the prowess of the Twin Troller, and dozens of true owner testimonials are right there for everyone to see, watch, or read......including my own. The price of this boat is worth every dollar, because it is so tough, dependable, and starts paying for itself on the very first outing. Owners of Twin Trollers that are now 10 years old are STILL using the original MotorGuide trolling motors. ........So take your BS, lies, and misery someplace else.

Really, tell us what other boat is hands free, zero turn radius, can't tip over, etc., etc. at this price point. Heck, tell us any boat that's better and why. Let's hear it.
