Unusually special bible study but history lesson..safe passage to Glory revealed

In high school it was clear to me, tell me who a people think God is and how they as a people relate to God/ gods and I can understand everything about who this people is, how they order themselves and I will also understand their art etc. it was to no avail. High school history was forbidden from entering into the concept of God/ gods. Well except Ancient Rome and Greece. But there was zero understanding of what their gods represent or how they came to be. I was left wondering why teach history at all.

1:58:00 put this in a book and read it to Joshua. If Joshua was fighting, he might be tempted to think he won the battle without aid from God. Tell him this story, how only when Moses with help oriented himself properly could they win the battle. Not the "on the ground" troops, but faith in the lord will see you through

"Sister of Aaron" Maybe because Aaron was the eldest son which would make Aaron the head of the family but Aaron and Miriam would both be under Moses.

Manley, I think that copyright might be one reason. You also have a bunch of people who, illogically, think this is the Only reliable version, and at least they will listen in, but I agree with you.

It's an historically important version of the Bible. The King James Version was _the_ English Bible for about 400 years. It is a beautiful work that should be read at least once (much more often, I think) for the same reason that Shakespeare, Donne, and Dryden should be: they say what's important, and they say it beautifully. _I am not enjoying this version of the Bible_ What did Wilde say: _Art should never try to be popular. The public should try to make itself artistic._ If you don't 'enjoy' the AV ( is that a reason to read any version of the Bible?) then you should at least learn to appreciate it.
