Great content! the comments starting at 9:27 is spot on. I've been coaching girls 7-10 softball last 2 years. Being a positive influence has been the biggest thing i've done. Having families tell me how much their kids love playing the game now and can't wait to come to practice or game. Having them request you as a coach season after season is a win. When 10 of 12 players (other 2 age out) return following season when other teams have 1-4 players says a lot to me about being positive. I had a grandmother stop me leaving one night to tell me how much her granddaughter loved me and that she was thankful for me. Said I was the only positive male person this little girl has had in her 8 years of life.

We ALL want to win as coaches, but sometimes we forget it is about the kids development, enjoyment and well being. Like you guys said you sometimes have no idea what struggles some of these kids are going through and baseball needs to be their safe space to relax and get some positive encouragement. Not to mention happy, loose kids play better, play longer and investment in the game and themselves.

Hey Coach Duke I been watching you guys past couple years and bought your online program for softball since I had to coach my daughters 10u team last fall. I just want to say thank you Coach Duke & all the staff at Zoned & Dominate the Diamond. So grateful for finding yall hopefully my daughter's & I can make it to one of your clinics someday
