I note that we love hunting in nz, biti realise that no hunting was possible before animals were brought to nz except for birds. It is now part of the culture - sometimes portrayed as the way it was. I’ve even seen it on carvings.

More like dumb not mean! Mikey and the crew would have laughed all the way back to the editing studio in Akarana knowing they'd discovered a race of individuals unto themselves. I felt sorry for those Tuhoe who are far more intellingent than some of those filmed in this segment. Respect is earnt not given because of your geological position. I bet there are people in Ruatahuna who would've cringed watching this. He mokopuna o te kainga o Ngapuhi nui tonu!

Mauri need to be really careful when pakeha film.our people, after editing they play what they want Aotearoa to see then narrate the program how they see fits their narrative,.pakeha are very sly,.our.people.need to be aware of what they do

Im Tuhoe till the day i die, but that "Im not Maori im Tuhoe" attitude needs to change. We are a VERY proud tribe but we are still MAORI through and through. Plus alot of lack of education and ignorance by our people, but its Changing for the better!

how do the people of tuhoe feel about this. the ambassadors of tuhoe for me ive never been to tuhoe but when you want to keep to you whakapapa and tikanga beer shouldn't be in the picture. I know for a fact that not all tuhoe people agree with some of the things on here.
