Dear Brothers and Sisters: I know once you got 221(g) that how much stressed you are going through during the waiting days. Let me explain you, my experience when I got 221(g). I have IR5 case and interview date was 29 Oct 2024 in Islamabad-Pakistan and got white Paper and officer returned my Passport also and only tick (Administration Processing) no other documents required. 7th Nov 2024 I got email about submit my Passport so 8th November I sent my Passport to via courier (ustraveldocs) located in my city. 12th Nov 2024 they change my date and status showing READY. 20th Nov 2024 date changed again then 04th Dec 2024 date changed again and status showing still READY. Now 8th Dec 2024 changed again and status showing ADMINISTRATIVE PROVESSING. Finally 9th Dec 2024 changed status to ISSUED and 12th Dec 2024 got my visa passport. In some cases you have to wait more and in some cases you have to wait less but in both situations you have to wait with the patience. Good luck to all who are stuck in 221(g).

Thank you for your information. My J1 visa application in the 3rd country was on 221g merely for a better photo, which I sent it immediately. But my status is still refused after 3 weeks. I applied for withdrawal of my application at all (return of my passport and Ds 2019) since my visa here in a 3rd country is expiring, and my program has already commenced. I pray for every applicant not get into such a devilish trap. Denial is far more better especially for students or workers.

I bet alot. This immigration officer ruined alot of family and relationships due to their stupidity. I got 221g when my fiance is divorced already and but one of the us consul given me 221g even though his divorce is finalized. Me and my fiance having awful relationships due to ldr especially my daughter who needs a father. I hope all these white immigration officers are happy seeing American kids away from their father.

We were denied an immigrant visa at the interview at the U.S. embassy in the F3 category because my grandfather (our sponsor) had passed away. We were then moved to the F4 category, and my paternal uncle became our sponsor. Thankfully, we were given another interview after 8 months in October 2024. Unfortunately, our CEAC account showed an “application error,” despite many attempts to resolve it and reporting the issue to both the embassy and the NVC, but to no avail. We were supposed to upload the DS-260 form there, but we couldn’t due to the online error. When we discussed this issue in an interview at the embassy, they said it was okay, and they would upload the documents and place our case into “administrative processing” following the second interview, without providing any explanation and told us you can acquire knowledge about your case after 2 months. 😢

My husband was given the 221G at his interview and asked to provide proof of my last trip to Morocco after our marriage; he submitted it and it was received at the consulate 3 days after his interview In Dec 18. on Jan 5 I checked the CEAC website and it showed as REFUSAL since Jan 2. I contacted my state senator to assist and on Jan 23 they forwarded a response from the consulate that stated the consulate officer refused our visa based on not believing our relationship to be BONA FIDE which was not stated to him at his interview!!! We are mortified and baffled as to how this consulate officer came to this conclusion if this wasn’t what was requested at his interview??

Today is May 3,2024. 221 g is because of a pardon. Congressman Dan Crenshaw help me with information on my husband status. They requested 4-5 things such as passport, background check from Mexico update Ceac and fotos. we went to Cuidad Juarez and paid for medical exam and visa fees again. Can you please explain what is the difference between 221(i) and 221(g) or is it the same? I got my visa B1/B2 back in 2022. Back in july 2023 I went to embassy for my son’s interview B1/B2 and there the VO put a stamp on my visa with” cancellation without prejudice”. Hello I need help! My fiancé was instructed to send more documents via DHL. She was instructed with the 221g to go on the website and print a mail receipt. However in order to do that, she has to click “consular instructed me to send more documents” which is not a visible option even though it should be. The interview was only 3 days ago. Is that why? I think it is over simplifying.... in many cases they simply say administrative processing needed and don't ask for any particular doc, at the end it takes 4-6 months to get it sorted.... and if the person already has a US job by this time he will loose the job and the visa becomes useless

Go and apply again. Since it’s been over a year, you can reapply. They’ll probably give you the same answer and form, but they will try to see what the issue is and why you got delayed, based on my previous experience.

Gf got 221g 10/31 , docs sent next day, only wanted proof of tps from 2000. She had all other tps cards from 2002-2022 at the interview. Has son in US & her job she’s had for 15 years is lost if not back next week. I’ve called the El Salvador embassy a couple of times. & they say they will reach back but crickets. Any advice ?

We had our family immigration visa (F31) interview on 19th March 2024. The officer gave us a 221g slip and ticked some documents that she asked us to submit. She also ticked on the box which said to send passports via courier. After that our visa status showed refused. We submitted all the ticked documents on 15th April. Our case got updated on 23rd April but still showed refused. It got updated again on 25th April then on the 29th of April but still shows refused. Any idea why

HI officer Ben , My own is a Dv lottery my husband is principal applicant and we won the lottery as marriage. Our interview was on the 10 of may 2023 and was refused a visa starting that my husband play as single mean while we play as married but was refused a visa and give us a pink 22lg paper ,and our passport back to us . Thank you for your helpful advice. The visa officer gave my fiancé a 221g white slip after the interview for K1bisa last week. . Our relationship is true. We love each other very much. Her 221g says “Additional processing time”. We are really confusing the results. Since 221g doesn’t have any time lines. We can’t make any future plans such as wedding date etc. it’s emotional torture. We feel we should withdraw K1 visa application. We don’t need to marry in the states and my fiancé really doesn’t need a green card. We just need to be together. We feel we made a mistake to apply K1 visa. Any advice?
