I think that this process, it's not fair. My wife it's an amazing Biologist and researcher. She got accepted in a Post Doctoral program in the Smithsonian Institute, and she is now under this administrative process. She sent all the information require, and she didn't receive any answer from more than 80 days!. She is very worried about it, because the deadline it's in January 2023. We don't know what else we can do!

good afternoon, I faced an unclear situation for myself, I was interviewed in Frankfurt and the consul said that the visa for you and your family was approved, the passports will be issued in a week. After the past week, we did not receive a passport, and 10 days later we saw on the website the status that our case was under administrative inspection.The difficulty is that the email address specified in d160 has ceased to be valid and there is no access to it anymore.Perhaps the consulate requested any documents and we did not provide them. We wrote several letters to the consulate with different statuses to receive a response and they replied once that the case was being checked. How to find out what to do now, it seems that the matter is at a dead end, because we do not understand what exactly they want from us since the mail does not work and the one we wrote to the consulate did not ask for any additional information?

The VO wrote admin review. Also i was aksed when am i flying back to my country. And i answerd 20th December. After that he said, we will let you know before that. I am really scared my case doesn't get hold up for long. I am in a third county US EMBASSY.

Hi Rob, I attended my H1B visa interview on 22nd February, 2024 at US embassy in Accra. My passport was kept by the VO and i was made to pay the reciprocity fees. I was then given a white paper saying that my case has been put in administrative processing. On 26th of February, 2024 the embassy called me on phone to ask for my degree certificate number and student Id number. Since then, i haven't heard from them and anytime i check my status on the ceac platform, it says "refused ". In my case, how long is it gonna take for my visa to be approved? Thanks so much.

How about this. I needed nonimmigrant B2 visa waiver of ineligibility. I went to interview with every possible document plus... But they simply said don't need them and everything looks fine. 221g form asked for information and documents which I provided at the same day. Received confirmation email the same day, few minutes later. Since that, hold yourself... 19 months my application is still stuck at AP. Any clue...?

After 21 days I got message to collect my passport, I got it with white color paper saying that (221g) administrative process, plus it was written that we will contact you for re submission of your passport via email... Hi Rob, I actually had my visa recently placed in 221g. I was already in the United States and got my H1B approved, I just wanted to go outside of the US to an embassy in order to get the H1B Visa stamp on my passport. I had the interview on March 22nd and everything went well, the interviewer even approved my visa on the spot and said everything looked good. It wasn't until the next day that I got an email stating that now my visa was placed on Administrative Processing and I needed to fill out the form DS-5535 which I submitted immediately. I am still waiting for it and I really need to return to my job. Any recommendations on what to do?

Hi Rob, that was great video. I've been interviewed US C1/D visa for seafarer on 28th of April. When the interviews done the embassy officer gave me the letter (white letter and typed "your us visa has been approved"). Hi Rob,thanks for the 221g refusal discussion. My son's case is very different the VO told that the Sevis fee which was paid is not updated in their website. Vo told that reschedule the visa appointment after paying. In this case how much time they will take for reschedule, only 20days is there to attend the college. It was happened 24/04/23 today.

Hi, thanks a lot for your awesome videos, I have a question and I would be grateful if you could provide me with your advice, actually last week my F1 Visa application was sent for administrative processing, and they have asked me for submitting some documents including my offer letter, the letter which shows my funding source, Actually I have been admitted to a fully funded PhD program through offering RA, but because of not meeting minimum language score requirements needed for TA, I wasn't eligible for TA, and this is mentioned in my offer letter, in my offer letter they said I am not eligible to be TA until I submit sufficient language score, Do you think this issue could have a bad effect on my application? Hi, I am in a similar situation. My admission letter says that I will work as an RA as well. The officer told me that due to my the nature of my research they need to put my visa on administrative processing and they asked me to submit a research plan, my admission letter and a cv with a list of publications. It has been 60 days now since my interview. Another friend was also appointed an RA and was in the same situation, but she got her visa after 52 days.

We had our family immigration visa (F31) interview on 19th March 2024. The officer gave us a 221g slip and ticked some documents that she asked us to submit. She also ticked on the box which said to send passports via courier. After that our visa status showed refused. We submitted all the ticked documents on 15th April. Our case got updated on 23rd April but still showed refused. It got updated again on 25th April then on the 29th of April but still shows refused. Any idea why

After the round of interview my assognd visa officer said that "CONGRATULATIONS YOUR VISA HAS BEEN APPROVED" and kept my passport with him. Hey Rob thank you, it was indeed a great video. So I had my IR1 interview at US embassy mumbai. So in our scenario the Visa officer asked me 20 questions, my husband is in US since 21 years he moved there with his parents, Visa officer asked me what was your father in laws age when your husband moved to US. I was not aware as I never asked. I said I don't know I never asked. Visa officer said your husband didn't told you important information. And in the end he gave me 221g white slip. Slip says unfortunately they cannot give me Visa as my file is incomplete. Also the officer was kind enough, on asking he said we will be re- checking on whatever you said now. I am confused. Can you pls guide on this.

Hello thank you for your videos they are really helpful. I had my interview yesterday and the consular said that the interview went well but my application was put on Administrative processing. She said that she didn’t know why which got me confused. All I saw was that there was a lot of typing during the interview after which she handed me the 221g form and told me to check my email from time to time. What could be the cause. I recently changed my I20 after filling the first ds160, then changes were made as I had changed my degree. I then filled another ds160. When I went to the interview I used the new details. Could that be the cause.

I applied together with my wife and children for an F1 visa for myself and F2 visas for my wife and our two children in Colombia - South America. The interview was on August 1, and there I was told that my visa was approved, but for my wife and children, I was missing the children's birth certificates and our marriage certificate. On August 5, I was informed via email that they had received the documents or had forwarded them to the officer in charge. Taking these things into account, when I check the status of their process, it still says "refused," even though I have already received my F1 visa. Interview on may 3rd 2022, got 221g for more court documents and tickets citations. I dropped them off yesterday 06/09/22. My visa will be approved when? Hello sir, why does ceac shows the message that all your documents are received and approved and consular officer refuse the visa after the interview asking for additional financial documents? Also the officer didnot mention anything on what to do next? Should i wait to hear from them thru email/CEAC message or upload new financial documents right away in ceac for further processing? what does it mean by officer has adjudicated and refuse your visa? Its so much hassle that these officers doesnot explain anything at all. Is it allowed to reapply for B1/B2 visa in a different city if administrative processing is ongoing? Details: I applied for B1/B2 visitor visa to visit my parents in USA. During interview I received a pink slip and officer asked me to send cv, source of funding and employer letter. I sent all docs on the next day. Since then, my application has been in 221g administrative processing for over 5 months. I regularly request status update and receive same reply, that my application remains subject to additional administrative processing. There is nothing in my application I could or would change. The only difference will be - how I interact with consular officer. During my first interview I was not prepared and just waited for questions. It might be the reason why I got refused. I would like to redo this and be more open and proactive during the interview.

The consul ask us to have a joint sponsor but my husband refused to look for a joint sponsor since his 2022 tax is above poverty level. Hello, how long did it take after the inquiry for the embassy to ask you to send your passport?

How long is too long. When should we sue for a decision. It shouldn't be this hard . The philipines NBI sent the letter of explanation on June 25.

Hello, please what happens when you submit your passport for Dropbox then get an email to pick up your passport with a 221g requesting you to return to the embassy for fingerprinting scanning? Would the visa be approved? Will there be an interview as well on the date of fingerprint scanning appointment ? What does it mean?

Hi, I had applied for my student F1 visa in 2020 right before the pandemic hit. I had to adjust it from a B1/B2 to F1 and I am in the US. I've been waiting since for my visa to be approved and USCIS have messed up my papers on 3 separate occasions and I had to reapply each time. I had hired a lawyer to help me apply but unfortunately she had informed me that all we can do at this point is wait. Please help because I don't know what to do at this point and it hurts so much because my friends and family back home have actually completed their course and they're doing their masters. Please help

Hi there 👋 i was got refused under 221g with white slip and they was also returned my passport and requested to submit some additional documents and i did and then my status got changed from refused to application recieved and after 5 days it's got changed again to redused and after 5 days on 13th of Oct 2024 i got a mail from the embassy to submit your passport and i did it today , but the status is same (refused) so what does mean they request to submit my passport? Is that mean that my case was approved and they need my passport to put the visa on it ? Please let me know thanks 🙏

We still in administrative process more than 3 years, everytime we contact that embassy they do not answer us ,we do not know what we should do .
