Want a dream job? Stop using conventional methods. Do it instead: 1. Gain a list of LinkedIn companies where you want to work. 2. Filter companies that are looking for your occupation. 3. Find their HRs companies profiles or profiles of heads of departments that are related to your skills. 4. Start commenting on each of their posts including companies’ accounts. Don't ask for a job, don't comment nonsense. Share the extra value to their posts. The main goal is to highlight how you can help them grow. 5. Be patient with the results. It takes a few weeks or even months.

100% agree. Although many people overlook just how important networking is. I was laid off early last year and new that the first part of my job search strategy would be to network as much as possible. I was able to land a great job in my field within 1 month. Love the advice you're sharing here to help jobseekers!

But what do you do when you're a introvert? Not easy to network unless we are just referring to doing it via chat and email. Even zoom meetings aren't easy to do

Michael. Take SMALL steps daily. Don't overthink it, don't be so self conscious and don't take rejection personally. Do one thing that pushes you outside of your comfort zone. Send invitations with a written message for others to connect with you. If they ignore you, their loss Breathe. It is not easy but it is worth it.

For the past 4 years I got more than 250+ profile views from HR people on my LinkedIn account, applied for 500+ jobs out there, I am not counting anymore the number of companies I called to let them know about my interest. Still nothing, some companies don't even bother to send you a feedback on your application ( if accepted or not ). Making a great resume is time consuming. We invest a lot of money and we put a lot of effort in trying to be a good fit for a position. I wonder if HR people endured what we go are going through during their job search. As for me I haven't found a job yet, I even applied for jobs that I am overqualified, still nothing. Desperation keeps coming in, still giving up is not an option for me and God is still powerful. I don't know what else to do. PLEASE HELP!

Hey I messaged you on LinkedIn, but I’m not sure if you saw it... I saw your post about how you started applying for another job while still having your old one... I’m just starting to go through the process and wanted to know if you could guide me on the do’s and don’ts.
@BrigetteHyacinth4 жыл бұрын
Make sure you are discreet about it but leave your profile open to recruiters. Try to connect with individuals on LinkedIn in companies you would like to get into. Join HR groups and connect with the members there. Disconnect from those in your old company who are not trustworthy because they might be spying on your activities. Just let them know LinkedIn has a limit and since you have their contact details , it makes no sense to connect there. Connect with recruiters. Update your skills and do free courses online to show how committed you are to this transition. Take small steps everyday and eventually you will get there. Wishing you every success.

I am preparing for an interview for a certain organization, while doing my research on their website. I have noticed that there is a word spelt incorrectly. Is it important that I mention it in the interview. If so what is the best way to do it?

Now seeing this. If it happens again. Just do it casually. " By the way I noticed this..."
