I think Aretha. King Curtis wrote the tune in 61 it was his big hit.

@@nevillesivan1 Thanks, In the late sixties and early seventies Aretha covered a lot of artists that resulted in big hits for her. I saw her at the Coconut Grove in Los Angeles circa 1970. I think King Curtis was the band leader, what a concert.
