I lived in Argentina for three years, as a Venezuelan from one of the most conversative regions of Venezuela, the concept of Chongo was a cultural shock to me. I didn't get a girlfriend or anything though haha, that being said I have good memories of Argentina, especially the second time I was there in 2023. Beautiful country that I love!

Los Argentinos solemos diferenciar muy bien entre relaciones serias y lo demas, la mayoria hemos tenido muchas mujeres de todo tipo y por nuestra forma de ser solemos ser muy directos y eso atrae mucho, pero si estamos con alguien en serio podemos ser fieles al 100%, sabemos diferenciar entre estar en pareja con otro ser humano y no con un angel inmaculado y virgen que parece muchos quieren, yo no soy quien para juzgar a mi pareja siempre y cuando ambos seamos pareja y confiemos el uno en el otro, el presente y el futuro es lo que importa, ademas las relaciones entre nosotros son muy comunes , van y vienen, por mas serio que sea algo puede terminar. Tampoco nos cuesta volver a comenzar otras relaciones, somos demasiado seguros para retener a nuestra pareja y satisfacerla, pero si no es asi entonces bueno nos separamos y cada quien sigue su camino y listo, de nada sirve llorar por lo que acaba, solo vamos por nuestra siguiente conquista y buscamos hacerlo mejor la proxima vez, hasta encontrar a la que se quede con nosotros hasta el final, y aun asi no es seguro tampoco entonces porque tratar las relaciones como algo ultra sagrado cuando no lo son, nadie es perfecto ni las relaciones. Very interesting take on the subject of relationships and sex. But casual relationship has nothing to do with country but more with generation. Most of "developed" countries has their version of chongos/chongas. This type of relationship is found often in big cities where parties and social opportunities are more numerous. Western society is full of it. For the "telo" concept, the most famous country for it is Japan with its love hotel culture due to the fact that people with their family for a really long time and can't really afford a place for themselves before late in their life. When it comes to cheating, the practice is probably as old as the practice of commitment.
