Yeah same here i didnt even know he had his own gun company of any kind only thing i knew of them doing was like suppressor covers and fear for chest plates n shit like that although not really interested in one bc i already have a very similar set up with a raw stainless ballistic advantage barrel that shoots amazingly b gives me no reason to fet another one already have too many as it is lol

Just use a quad rail hand guard, beefier, stiffer, pushed the hand out a bit more away from the barrel so you don’t need gloves unless you’re REALLY shooting at a high candance for long periods, and then you don’t need to buy or move around pic rail adapters. The new quads from MidWest Industries are dehorned and don’t chew your hands up like the old KAC RAS systems. But let you get a GOOD solid grip easily without much effort. Just my two cents.

if you only shoot heavy stuff it makes more sense, but on a rifle you only intend to shoot 55 grain loads then 1/7 really seems to hurt more than it helps.

Jus curious, i have a similar barrel jus mines stainless as thats what i was able to get an incredible deal on at the time i dont really care whether its raw or nitrided either way really bc i havent had any tusting issues or anything with the raw barrels even the one i hunt with has been fine for yrs as long as u keep it oiled decently but i have to agree those barrels shoot amazingly and if u ask me cant be beat gice. The accuracy u can get out of them vs what you pay for them i see no point in payin $300-$800 for a barrel when u can get these barrels for much much less and theyll shoot damn near as good if not jus as food as the $800 barrel its all about finding the right load for ur rifle really but i shoot all kinds of ammo oht of mine and it even shoots the crappy steel cased stuff pretty well ur bcg has a hood but to do with how much accuracy u get as well u have a crappy bolt ur not gonna get those sub moa groipings typically

The standard 416R barrel is nitrided for longer life and additional corrosion resistance, not that it really needs the latter.

Not that that matters really either bc im sure the difference is probably only like .1 moa or something like that… so i guess jus depends on what one u like the look of better and which one u can get and get the best deal on mine came in a complete built upper so i went with that theh ddnt have the nitrided barrels but i like the look of the raw stainless better anyways i was jus curious what ur reasoning was for selecting one over the other thanks for the reply

@@born2beashooterjosh397 Nitride doesn’t add any material to the already polished bore, it simply makes the surface of the steel much harder, therefore not affecting the accuracy potential in any negligible way, the barrel will last longer over raw stainless, and an additional general consensus is that nitrided barrels require no real break in period before maximum velocity and accuracy is reached. I do offer a second barrel option in raw stainless for the purists.

My 77 smk hand loads shoot well under half min in ruger 18" 1x8 twist 3x9 leupold mark ar mod 1, my come up at 500 it dancing right around 3.5 mills
