In 2019 Titmus got lucky with Ledecky being sick. But even being an American (and a huge Ledecky fan), I think Titmus is going to take the gold this year.

I liked very much to see Titmus in so great form. I believe her 200m freestyle race was more stronger than her 400m freestyle event. I also believe Australia has a 4x200m women's freestyle relay to break the world record. I am very happy for Kaylee McKeown results. She has broken Regan Smith's world record, a great result! I hope Australian sqimmers peaking in the olympics and not early as I have seen some times, mainly relating to the Campbell sisters.

We have to wait for the powerful USA swimmers. Before USA trials in athletics and Swimming is not possible to do a reliable preview. So many USA athletes have emerged to the world scene in Athletics and Swimming that my olympic preview has changed several times, mainly in Athletics. Now I will begin short previews. However Caeleb Dressel and Katie Ledecky keep their positions like top contenders to the olympic medals.

@@smartasfck I believe Ledecky is doing a smooth trials. She swims only to get the place in the team. But I have seen some USA swimmers are not so good by now. For instance Simone Manuel and Ryan Held. They have strong times in theirs events but They didn't get place on the USA team. But You are right about the times now are more important than the past. I hope Australian Swimmers keep increasing their times until Tokyo olympics.

Every damned video is plagued with technical issues. Amazon Prime - get your act together. This is absolutely not acceptable in 2021. If you're going to claim to be a broadcaster worthy of top level sport, you can't be this bad. Get your tech together or hand this back to free-to-air networks who can actually do the job.

In the wake of Lorraine Crapp and Shane Gould - would be great to emulate those two icons. The only two women to have held all freestyle world records simultaneously. As for Ladecky, she won the Olympic 800 by 22 seconds, so she's always going to be a force. She might swim with a glass of chocolate milk on her head????
