Ariat Circuit Patriot review & Cody James boot update which one is better?

I grew up on 215 acres in central Ohio. Most of it soybean, and cornfields but also some woods and a pond. I grew up fishing, paintballing and riding quads and Dirtbikes, but I never really got into the country boy style or lifestyle. I never wore cowboy boots until I got my first pair of ariats for work (commercial hvac). They were the most comfortable boots I’ve ever worn, including some damn good boots I wore in the military. I finally went out and got me a pair of these western circuit ariats and I love them so much. They’re a good pair to get me into the world of cowboy boots. I eventually want to get me some better boots, but I feel like they’re a good pair of starter boots.

Definitely not a weird obsession at all. I’ve lived in GA my whole life (city boy) and I got into cowboy boots last year. My first pair were the Ariat Circuit Patriot boots same as yours. They are my go to boots for fall weather or just in general. I have a pair of Cody James caiman boots as well and they are my flashier boots for dressing up and they are more comfortable than Ariats. Cowboy boots are the way to go!

You need cowboy cut jeans, also what’s your boot size, and how high does the boot go up.

I just bought a pair of Cody James 1978 in suede (first pair) at Boot Barn and man I was surprised how comfortable they were at the store. I also got a pair of roper boot by Tecovas on the way.

I agree, ariats steel toe were one of my first workboots (welding) but now I kind of see ariats that way, they're a fair brand but not my favorites , I've been eyeing down tecovas but not sure completely, maybe next time I need a new pair , I'll check them out

If you want them to be comfortable, get them broken in more. If you get the right size (for me i get half a size too small) it should hurt your feet until the leather forms to your foot. Then you'll have a secure holding, comfortable boot 100%. I have the ariat circuit patriot as my casual everyday boot that aren't a year old yet. A pair of double h elephant skin boots from 2017 as my nice boots that i have tons of hours in, then my redwing steeltoe work boots that are the most comfortable boots i have due to the 2 years of 12 hour days everyday wearing them. Haven't decided if i want to take them to a shoe repair shop and resole them or buy a new pair and repeat the breakin. But definitely give any boot a good chance to break in before deciding if they are good for you or not

I personally find Cody James a lot more comfortable than Ariat. I’m actually selling two pair of Ariat boots! The Ariat’s look cheaper.

The Cody James boots you can't go wrong with them. They're made by Hondo Boots for boot barn. Good choice. Now I'm a boot hoe too but in Texas boots just go without sayin😂😂

I picked up a pair of cowboy boots while in Nashville just under 2 years ago and have just gotten different kinds of boots in general. But in the last few months I've gotten more into cowboy boots and just the whole look in general. Haven't gotten a cowboy hat but I do usually wear a baseball cap, got a pair to Tecovas and Dan Post, and for jeans I've noticed Goodfellow jeans at Target work well with the boots. I've been holding back on getting another pair but do like Chisos no 1 and wanted to get another pair of boots in Scotch. I like thr pair of square toes but also like round toes as well. For me, I like single stitch for the edging rather than the double stich. Overall I'm digging my new look and just the whole vibe.
