I want to ask, is only way to understanding or diagnosis dyslexia being incapable of reading. Or can you be a dyslexic just struggle little(not effects %100 percentage) reading, speaking and listening?

Shooting breathtaking views on green scenery while converse about issues like this with a feathery voice makes this video so special and soothing to watch. No wonder this is your favourite. For the first time in my life, I found just the right place to seek for closure and comfort for a dyslexic person like me

Thank you for the kind comment. It’s always really nice to read something like this. Especially when the algorithm doesn’t like the video as much as I was hoping..

It’s interesting to note that some of the challenges people with dyslexia deal with are the same as those suffering from developmental trauma. People-Pleasing, etc.. You talked about the anxiety that develops, but I wonder if one doesn’t receive help or attunement it could develop into depression (or something else), where one has a diminished sense of self-worth or feeling defective (very bad road to go down), this I think relates to what you were talking about when a person defers to another (not expressing their needs or desires). This is why I think what you are doing is so great, not only on KZbin, but your 1:1 services also. It’s never too late to get help and change those messages one takes on or develops for themself. Thank you for what you do! It’s a wonderful service you provide.

I’m happy you feel that way! :) It makes sense that people with developmental trauma and dyslexic individuals can end up with similar struggles. Being made fun of in front of the entire class or being excluded can be traumatic. Also, a dyslexic child is more likely to experience physical abuse, so the overlap makes sense.

Thank you. So very helpful. And yes, I’ve had a hard time with this. I would enjoy more videos from you on this topic. You are able to explain this issue in a clear and concise way but also relatable. Giving questions to ask yourself prompts is nice because it feels interactive and being a part of my own problem solving feels empowering.

This came at a good time for me as at 60 I find myself in education again and the pattern of people pleasing for me is one of trying to be useful. At work this goes down well, but among people on course is not needed so I see myself reacting, which is helpful. Also seeing how this leads to failure life trap.

Really beautifully designed and executed video. One can see, how much work went into that. And for the topic: spot on, once more...

Excellent and very close to my situation as a Dyslexic. Hope your leap pays off - I have no doubt it will. Similarly, I know deep down the same outcome is highly likely for my future, get I continue to procrastinate over making the change. This video gives me extra confidence. Thanks.

I also procrastinated big time then it comes to making this change. I believe that we sometimes don’t 100% registers that our current situation is drastically different from what we experienced in childhood. Of course we rationally know that it is not the same but emotionally it often seems to be a different story.

Interestingly, I had worked on this over thirty years ago. 😱 These subjects came up while I was studying for a Master's degree, which was important for my career development and personal growth at the time. However, I felt that I didn't receive support from some friends and my partner at the time. I decided to move on, and although I lost a few friendsand ended along term relationship, I gained so much more. Its good to reflect on what ine achieve over the years. Thank you for your time.

My people pleasing burned me out. My default is "no" now, unless I have time to contemplate. (I ❤ your clothing style 😅) Too many yeses in that bunch of Qs....😢 I like your video work and it looks nice but i don't prefer it. 😅😅 I kind of like the plain sit at the desk, table or couch version better. The park was pretty cool but it distracted me and I didn't hear everything you were saying the first time watching, lol.😅😂 I have more than a dyslexic comorbidity.... 😮😅 Anyways, Good info! Thanks!

Thank you for your feedback. We were actually also wandering if it would be to much meaning a bit distracting. I also had to take a deferent mic for outside and that one is not as good. So that explains the audio quality. I general I like filming outside. Also because we just had a baby so it can be loud at home. But I will will take it into consideration and think about some adjustment I can make.

Lol only my wants and needs matters. That’s exaggerated some. However it’s nearly impossible to intimidate me. I don’t care what others think of me.

Good for you! Something instead of starting to people pleasing we go a 100% into the opposite direction. But as long as it seems balanced it seems great to me.
