So long and thanks for all the sims!

Hello simracers!
I have news.
Thank you for all the support, emotions and memories you gave me in those 20+ years of active simracing career. You've been amazing and couldn't hope for a better and more satisfying career.
As all good things, this also must come to an end and so I have decided to change my professional path and resign from my position at Kunos Simulazioni.
I won't be working on a hardcore racing simulator or direct competitor, but in case you're wondering what I'll be doing in the near future, I'll be sharing more info in my discord community which I intend keeping open and alive and continue discussing about simracing, cars, motorsport and all things car culture.

What I´ve learned at AC & ACC saved my life when crashing on Autobahn with 160 into a deer standing on two lanes. I could keep the cool, held steering straight, did safe braking and managed to be aware about my sorroundings before passing two lines with my totaled BMW onto side stripes. I have to thank you so much, Aris. Couldn´t say thank you enough so I bought AC & ACC three times by now. WIsh you all best, stay safe and have a happy life.-

I was wondering where you were. I just figured you were very much heads down with ACC and AC2. Shocking news. Though I wish you much success in your future endeavors! ACC is such an amazing game, but what you did with it through this channel, just took it to another level. As I had told you, my new Grand Prix Legends moments in the present time. Between the model cars we can buy, the racing we can watch, and to combine it with ACC and your content was unreal. I have been and will continue to truly miss feeling like we all had a seat in your home on Friday evenings as friends. Sim racing with Assetto Corse Competizione was my life saving escape during lock down. Aris Drives was the channel that showed me how to get the best out of the cars and myself. After lockdown life took over and I put ACC to one side. This weekend I cracked out the sim rig and dusted off some skills. Thought I'd check out some Aris on the new packs and... oh my... Thank you for your work and the streams, I didn't watch every one of them, but in the first 2 seconds of the video hearing your sigh I thought you were announcing aggressive cancer news. I have over 1k hours in AC and after the love of my life (RBR RSF) it is a testament (too) that modding is what keeps a game alive. I have happily paid for DLC as it is correctly done, not artifically withheld for profits by a AAA company. Oh, and after 1k hours the cost is pennies. :D So long and see you soon!

Hi Aris, I feel the need to thank you and all the guys at Kunos for creating assetto corsa. It was the base for my degree project and thanks to it I rediscovered my passion as a car enthusiast and discovered a brand new one as a 3d modeler. When I was a child my dad had a dino 208gt4 and since I had a memory, my wish was to drive it on a mountain road. So for my degree project i decided to focus on 3d modeling (even if it was not a specific course in my degree area) and I created a mod for that car, and it was a blast to drive on the trento-bondone. Without AC, none of that would have been possible. Thanks to that I also got hired in the company i currently work for, and I couldn't be more happy. So, thanks again because you didn't "simply" created a community and a leading product in the simracing scene, but you also helped my formation as a professional and as a person, and I'm sure many more were helped in the same way. Good luck on all your future projects, and goodbye!!

Aris when I found your channel I had just discovered ACC at the same time as also learning I had a herniated disk in my back and was bed ridden for a month. During that time your content was invaluable in keeping me motivated to keep working towards being able to move and live a normal life again and so I could enjoy playing ACC. A year or so later I can live my life as normal (mostly) and enjoy sim racing daily. But I don’t think I’d have ever fallen in love with it as much if it wasn’t for the videos and content you shared. I wish you all the best.

Wow! Of course I do not really know you or what you do, but I have enjoyed you so much, what you helped bring to us sim-racers - - especially the WAY you brought this to us.
