Yes, he is an outstanding player with very dynamic chess. But, off the board very mild mannered and very generous. He donated large sums of his prize money since his teens for charitable purposes. This quality is very rarely found in the youngsters of this generation. Arjun a great player on the board and a wonderful person off the board.

Every single thing in Bharat is even more competitive nowadays than 30 years back, and even then it was not a cakewalk. I have a masters in Computer Engg, but doing law as a 49 year old in a good law school in Pune, India, and I can see that the quality and caliber of the 20 years old students today is higher than before.
