A ton of respect to the motorist who stopped out got out to assist the officer. Nicely done. That good Samaritan had to be a Military veteran who probably works a job in security where he deals with pukes like this. It takes BOTH guts and brains to do what he did. He's a REAL hero who backs the blue 100%. The arresting officer should have told the perp to put his hands on the back of his head...so he can handcuff the punk behind his back. I know it's NOT a more preferred cuffing method utilized by police...and is usually used as a last resort arrest strategy. But when clowns like this resist arrest and fight law enforcement every step of the way...then it's justified. I guess that wouldn't have been too effective in this very situation where the suspect was extremely unruly, violent and potentially armed. Wouldn't surprise me if that jackass was an Antifa member who hates police and in his own warped mind had every motive to defy the officer via lawlessness...or worse...as the officer had feared. @@jmash7751 It has nothing to do with sovereign citizen. It is the rights endowed on us and enshrined in our Constitution against unreasonable searches or seizures. It's called the 4th Amendment...look it up. While he most certainly could have handled it better and should have exited the vehicle when the officer ordered him, there is no excuse for the officer becoming more belligerent simply because the driver was asserting his rights and making it known that he did not consent. Guess what cops always say when they want to search your vehicle..."I can smell MJ coming from your vehicle". And of course they rarely find anything.

Doesn't matter if *you* think the cop does not have PC to search, what matter is is if the judge thinks so. Once the trooper asked him to get out, he could have complied, having already made his non-consent clear. Instead, he's now got resisting arrest and assault on a peace officer no matter what else. The proper place to litigate this is in court, not the side of the road. SO many people remember all the other rights and completely forget that they have a right to trial to hash all this out.

Tailgaters dont bother me anymore; my truck's rear windows are tinted 5%, and if you follow close I dont see your headlights at all. That being said, I DO have a massive Reese hitch with three hitch balls and a hook, which is right about the same height as most vehicles' radiator. When I stand on the brakes, the rear of the truck comes up a little too, which "sets the hook" so to speak, lol. It has happened before, and they didn't make it to my bumper; impaled on the hitch, then tried to back off, pulling their whole front end off. It was beautiful.

But driving by.. nothing looks " out of place" ... until you see trooper's legs.. sticking out.. and even then.. you cannot be sure. I drive by.. watching the road/ other drivers.. and see this.. I think it was deliberate on the driver's part to stop as close to the lane of traffic of oncoming traffic so the cop had to stand in the lane, obviously to put the officer in a dangerous situation. The cop could be hit by another driver, either by accident or by another punk who hates the police. The "combative suspect" could have pulled over farther to the right than he did so the officer could stand on the shoulder of the road at the driver's side outside. Kudos to the good samaritan who stopped and helped the officer. We need more citizens like that who are willing to stand up against to these punks. That creep could have been reaching for a gun for all the officer and the gentlemen knew.
